| Race 2 | Happy Birthday Jenny Dryland Dash - C1 - 295 | KNOW MAYHEM (2) was last to jump. BLICKLING BRIDGE (4) was tightened soon after the start and dropped to the rear. HOMEBUSH BRUNO (1) was checked into the bend as HAREEBA TIME (5) crossed to the rail with HOMEBUSH BRUNO losing ground. |
| Race 3 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Heat 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1 | RUNWAY TAXI (8) shifted down the track in the early stages tightening HYPERPARADISE (7) and OLLIE BAXTER (6). TRUE BLUE STYLE (4) covered extra ground on the first bend. On the first bend OLLIE BAXTER checked outwards off the hindquarters of RUNAWAY TAXI with HYPERPARADISE being forced very wide. |
| Race 4 | Go The Crusaders Sprint - C1 - 295 | TURBO TUNDRA (6) was last to jump. CAWBOURNE CLOCK (2) was badly tightened along the inside into the bend and dropped to the rear. JUDITH MARY (5) was checked on the home turn and ran inwards causing CAWBOURNE CLOCK to lose momentum and switch to the outside. |
| Race 5 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Heat 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2 | KNOW DANGER (7) and TEPIRITA TUITEKA (8) were both a shade slow to begin. OPAWA JEAN (3) was tightened in the early stages as SCOTSOME POWER (4) angled to the inside. TEPIRITA TUITEKA dropped out over the concluding stages and showed signs of cramp on pulling up with no stand down being considered necessary. |
| Race 6 | Ritchies Coachlines Dash - C1 - 295 | SMASH THAT (1) and HOORAY FOR HAZEL (7) were the last pair on settling. In the early stages LOLA BAXTER (4) ran sharply inwards checking NOT SO CUTE (3), IMPERSONATOR (2) and SMASH THAT with this trio losing ground and their chances. On the home turn this trio all came together and lost more ground in the centre of the track. SMASH THAT was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injury. |
| Race 7 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Heat 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3 | CASINO BLACK (6) was last to jump. OHOKA STRIKA (9) ran outwards into the first bend checking OPAWA HALLY (4) who lost ground. OHOKA STRIKA dropped right out after this incident and finished a clear last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment with no abnormality being detected. The connections of OHOKA STRIKA were spoken to in regards to the performance of this dog and advised that he would be restricted to sprint racing in the immediate future. Stewards advised Trainer L Waretini that the dog is required to complete a trial over a middle distance before being nominated for a middle distance event. |
| Race 8 | Happy Birthday Nicky At Garrard's Sprint - C1 - 295 | ZULU DEB (2) and HOMEBUSH SAXON (3) were the last pair on jumping. LINCOLN FLYER (7) shifted outwards into the bend pushing HOMEBUSH SAXON and PHIL WART (8) wider on the track. |
| Race 9 | Islington Tavern Dash - C1 - 295 | TOKEN RAY (3) was a clear last on jumping. ANOTHER PLANE (2) ran outwards colliding with OHOKA HART (4) in the initial stages. CHARLES FREDRICK (1) was tightened on the bend and lost ground. |
| Race 10 | Christchurch Casino Stakes Heat 4 - C1q - 520 Heat 4 | FLIP FLIPPA (5) and ARCHIE'S COMET (8) were the last pair on dispatch. MASSAGE ONLY (1) was tightened into the first bend and ran outwards pushing KNOW JUDGE (6), ARCHIE'S COMET and SHADOW BAXTER (7) wider on the track. On the home turn THRILLING SOUND (3) checked outwards off runners. |
| Race 11 | C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295 | BLAZING HOT (2) was last on settling. SUMMER LOVE (9) was badly dragged down into the bend and dropped to the rear. This caused BLAZING HOT to run very wide when attempting to improve with SUMMER LOVE again receiving a nasty check as BLAZING HOT unsuccessfully tried to avoid him . On the turn GOLDSTAR BOMBER (7) and VALLDEMOSSA (4) collided when well back. SUMMER LOVE was found to be free of any injury when assessed by the vet post race. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Dash - C1 - 295 | HOMEBUSH BARABAS (2) was jostled in between ARCHIE'S TIME (1) and OPAWA HOG (3) in the initial stages. SMOKING MARLEY (5) was tightened into the bend and lost ground as ARCHIE'S TIME and OPAWA HOG shifted up the track. PETRA HAKA (7) angled outwards on the home turn causing HARPER'S BIZARRE (4) to be unbalanced and lose ground. |
