| Race 1 | Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375 | HOMEBUSH MAGIC was impeded going into the first corner when FORTIS LION shifted in and HOMEBUSH MAGIC lost four lengths and stayed back to finish in last place. WHEELIE GOOD led into the bend but then gradually shifted out to race wide covering considerable extra ground and finished in 6th place. BOSTON MONA was observed to be limping following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to be suffering from cramp but quickly recovered. CEE ACH GEE was referred to the Vet at the Handlers request and found to have minor dew claw injuries. |
| Race 2 | Woodville Stakes C0 Heat 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1 | The favourite JESSIE SURFS was slow to begin losing three lengths. BIG FAT GYPSY and BOSTON LASS collided when the start was made and BOSTON LASS lost a length. WORTH A CRACK, MEMBERS ONLY and SHINZIGZAG jostled for a short distance soon after the start. MEMBERS ONLY shifted in going into the first turn and caused checks to BOSTON LASS and WORTH A CRACK and they lost two lengths. SHINZIGZAG and JESSIE SURFS bumped together in the home straight and both became unbalanced with SHINZIGZAG the most affected and he lost three lengths. |
| Race 3 | Manawatu Raceway C0 Heat 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 2 | FANTAS FICTION began awkwardly losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout the race to finish in last place. |
| Race 4 | J P Print, Petone, C1 - C1 - 375 | BOOT THE CASH shifted in from the start and hampered ROSA GALLICA and DOGGED DAN and they settled back but made up ground well to finish 2nd and 3rd. BOOT THE CASH made contact with the hind quarters of FIRE BOY BAXTER on the bend and was momentarily unbalanced and lost ground. BOOT THE CASH then brushed with BEHEMOTH entering the home straight and lost further ground. |
| Race 5 | Peter Sinclair Photo Finisn C1 - C1 - 457 | ZAMADDIS LASS shifted out going to the first corner and this resulted in her jostling with RADICAL RUFUS and CONTEMPORANEOUS and they lost ground with RADICAL RUFUS the most affected and he lost four lengths. |
| Race 6 | Marton Dash C2 Final - C2f - 375 | GEM'S CONQUEST and SHEZA FOOLING were slow to begin and and they then raced wide on the bend covering extra ground. HOT POOTIE shifted out entering the home straight and checked GEM'S CONQUEST which fell and took no further part in the race. GEM'S CONQUEST was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pectoral and sartorius muscle pain. MISSY SLOY was also referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and cleared of injury. |
| Race 7 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C3 - C2/3 - 375 | SMIRNOFF shifted in going to the first corner and caused checks to several runners drawn further in with DASHER RUM, NOT BAD and ROCKY BAXTER the most affected and they lost several lengths and finished in the last three places. |
| Race 8 | Ashhurst Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457 | CIDER DRINKA and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL bumped together soon after the start and settled back. CAWBOURNE TIP and SWEET RUBYJANE led going into the bend but they bumped together on at least three occasions and SWEET RUBYJANE suffered the most in the contact and lost two lengths. CAWBOURNE TIP was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have toe laceration which was sutured and a 3 day stand down was imposed. The Stewards are concerned by the short stand down with suturing being required and the fact that the dog has an engagement on Friday 20th and will be closely monitoring the situation on Friday. |
| Race 9 | Cloverlea Dash C4 Final - C4f - 375 | MAGIC BOLT began awkwardly losing ground and settled back. He then checked off the heels of EVER SO HOPEFUL going into the bend and lost further ground. YA LAUGHIN and SHAGA BANGA BANG jostled together for some distance going to the bend and eventually they checked and lost three lengths. SHAGA BANGA BANG, MAGIC BOLT, RUN JUNIOR RUN and UNO ORANGE bumped together going into the bend and they became unbalanced and lost ground. |
| Race 10 | Shannon Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | OPAWA TOKEN and CAWBOURNE BURN were a little slow to begin and settled back. CAWBOURNE BURN was then checked going into the bend losing two lengths and OPAWA TOKEN was checked on the bend and they went back to the rear and never recovered. |
| Race 11 | Feilding dash C5 - C5 - 375 | CHARMING NEV was slow to begin and soon after was checked and lost two lengths. BOLT RAMA and GUS jostled together going into the bend and they both lost ground. WISE CRACK LAD shifted out away from the rail going into the first corner and forced ON THE LEVEL wide over extra ground. |
| Race 12 | Foxton Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | BIGTIME JET was slow to begin losing two lengths. BIGTIME DASHER shifted out going to the first corner and bumped with HELLO ELLO and they continued to bump together at the rear for a short distance. |
