Track: Dead Despite a week of rain the track held up remarkably well and was upgraded to Good after Race 8.
Scales: Correct at all weights

Judicial report: STING ME (M Grant), which qualified for the C5 Sprint Final tonight, was withdrawn prior to the box draw with a Vet Certificate being provided.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	RUN FOR SOPHIE (5) was last to jump. WELLYWOOD (2) received some tightening into the bend as ABOUND (4) angled inwards when reaching the lead. MILDRED LILLIAN (1) ran wide into the home straight placing WELLYWOOD in restricted room to the inside of MCJOPSON (6) who was also pushed over extra ground. GEORGIE WONG (3) received a check on the home turn when coming together with MULBERRY BROOK (7) when this pair were racing at the rear.
Race 2	Opawa Bowl & Jack Tavern Sprint - C4 - 295	HOMEBUSH VIOLET (3) escaped from her handler at the stir up and ran a short distance to the lure. WEE TERRA (2) and SWIP AND TEAR (9) were the last pair on jumping. In the early stages BUGSY BANGLES (4) ran outwards checking FIREMAN'S LEGACY (6) and SWIP AND TEAR. Soon after WEE TERRA ran outwards checking BUGSY BANGLES. HOMEBUSH VIOLET ran outwards on the home turn checking BAD WEEK (7).
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295	OUT BACK BILL (6) was last to jump. OPAWA COLIN (5) ran outwards on dispatch checking OUT BACK BILL with CLAREMONT PIZZAZ (7) then running inwards checking OPAWA COLIN. Into the bend CLAREMONT PIZZAZ ran inwards checking JACK'S A JEWEL (3). In behind OPAWA COLIN ran outwards when avoiding these runners and badly checked OUT BACK BILL who stumbled and lost his chance.
Race 4	Active Electrical Christchurch Dash - C5 - 295	POPSTAR ROCKET (3) and WILL EXCITE (7) were the last pair on settling. ADMIRE (4) started to shorten stride finishing a distant last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. KNOW LIES (1) shifted up the track early in the home straight when improving pushing CAWBOURNE JELLY (2) and DRYSDALE (8) over extra ground.
Race 5	Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295	KNOW FAULT (2) and ANOTHER JEWEL (8) were the last pair at the jump.
Race 6	I Pave Concrete Distance Feature - C2d - 645	CLARETOWN LEROY (4) and CHILL OUT RALPH (2) both showed no early speed settling at the rear.
Race 7	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C3 - 520	HIS LORDSHIP (8) was last to jump. FEAR GO (3) was badly checked in the early stages when running outwards and colliding with OPAWA JED (5) with FEAR GO dropping to the rear. KNOW AMBITION (7) edged outwards on the first bend pushing HIS LORDSHIP over extra ground. OPAWA STELLA (4) lost ground early in the home straight when coming together with OPAWA JED on her inside.
Race 8	Glenbyre Tavern Stakes - C4 - 520	BOB'S EYE (7) and OPAWA BOMB (9) were the last pair from the traps. In the early stages NOT A KNOW (4) pushed BOTANY DAVE (3) down the track while wider out FALSE NOTION (2) ran outwards checking OPAWA RAPID (5). At the end of the back straight BRIGHTON BULLET (6) was held up when improving losing some momentum. OPAWA BOMB and BOB'S EYE jostled for a few strides on the home turn.
Race 9	Clarkson Sign Studio Sprint Final - C5f - 295	Prior to this event the track was upgraded to Good. KERAMUS (6) was last on settling. PEARL'S BOY (3) was checked and lost ground in the back straight as LIFE'S A LAUGH (5) angled inwards. KERAMUS ran outwards when improving into the bend and checked TRANS TASMAN (7) for a stride.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C5 - 520	DREAM COLLECTOR (4) and BOTANY KEVIN (5) were the last to jump. DREAM COLLECTOR then contacted the hindquarters of CAWBOURNE PHILIP (3) in the run to the first bend and was further tightened into the bend losing two lengths and settling last. BOTANY KEVIN and DREAM COLLECTOR ran wide on that bend.
Race 11	Shirley Vet Clinic Dash - C5 - 295	RUSTY KNIFE (3) was checked and dropped to the rear in the early stages as TWO WAYS (4) ran inwards. TWO WAYS and SOPHIE'S TERRA (2) then jostled for some distance with TWO WAYS losing ground and drifting to the rear. SOPHIE'S TERRA was tightened shortly after and lost ground.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	RITE ROUND RANGE (3), IONA HAKA (5) and OPAWA LEAN MEAT (6) were the last trio on settling. MAKER'S LABEL (4) was badly tightened into the bend and lost ground as WANDY LUCK (7) ran inwards in the back straight. WANDY LUCK was then checked and lost ground.
