Track: Good The track was well presented and this was the first meeting with the new safety rail in use and there were no major issues apparent and some positive comments were received.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	FORTIS LION began awkwardly and blundered losing ground but he recovered well to make up ground and finished in 3rd place. VENGA GUAPA shifted out going into the bend and forced ANOTHER PLANE and GUMMY GUMPSTA to also race wide on the bend over extra ground.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 520	ELEPHANT TRUNK was slow to begin losing two lengths. SNIFF OF BRANDY shifted out from the start and checked PORTOBELLO PATSY which lost two lengths. SMASH ALLEGRO shifted in going into the first corner and hampered LITTLE PROPHET and then colliided with MEMBERS ONLY and they both lost momentum but recovered quickly. HOMEBUSH SPIKE shifted in going into the first bend and collided with TE MAARI STYLE and almost fell. They both lost ground and HOMEBUSH SPIKE then drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injuury.
Race 3	Keenan Concrete C0 - C0 - 305	SAMY LOUISE and SILVER TOKAAM both changed ground and came together soon after the start and SAMY LOUISE was checked losing ground. SILVER TOKAAM continued to shift out going to the bend and hampered SHEZA HUM DINGA momentarily and raced very wide finishing several lengths last. SILVER TOKAAM appeared uncomfortable in her galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have wrist and gracilus muscle pain.
Race 4	JP Print (Petone) C0 - C0 - 305	REDSTAR REAPER began awkwardly losing three lengths. MONGO JERRY RAMA and DARK WITCH brushed together going into the bend and MONGO JERRY RAMA began to drift soon after and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have thigh muscle pain. MISS SOFTY was observed to tire over the final stages after leading for most of the race and finished in 3rd place. MISS SOFTY was referred to the Vet as a precaution and cleared of injury.
Race 5	Garry Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 520	DUTCHESS QUEEN shifted out from the start and bumped with INTO THE FRAY and both were a little unbalanced. DUTCHESS QUEEN and TAIKOREA LASS collided going into the first corner and SARAH CAMPBELL, which was following was also checked and they lost several lengths. DUTCHESS QUEEN then checked off the heels of SARAH CAMPBELL going into the back straight losing further ground and she never recovered.
Race 6	www.racingdogs.co.nz c1 - C1 - 305	RUNS FOR GAS, HOMEBUSH TOKI and EMPTY BANK bumped together for a short distance soon after the start and they lost momentum. WORKING MIDNIGHT and EXCESSIVE SPEED bumped together and checked going into the bend and ran wide forcing EMPTY BANK wide on the bend.
Race 7	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C1 - C1 - 520	SPOT ON MAGGIE was placed in restricted room between OPAWA LEANNE and ADDA BOY ZEKE going to the first corner and was checked back to last. SPOT ON MAGGIE drifted further off the back of the field as the race progressed and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	SERVE YA PURPOSE was slow to begin and settled back. She was then checked going into the bend losing further ground and stayed back to finish in last place. SUB SILENTO and HOMEBUSH SARAH jostled together for some distance on the bend and they finished at the rear. CHARLIES PAL was checked and fell just after the finish line and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 9	Wanganui Chronicle C1 - C1 - 520	OPAWA CASSIDY was slow to begin but recovered well to finish in 2nd place.
Race 10	Novice Racing Series Final - NZRSf - 520	AMY WINEGLASS and MOORE PARK MISS bumped together at the start and settled back. MOORE PARK MISS checked off the back of MORE SALT NEEDED going into the first bend, shifted out and then had to check off the back of ANOTHER FANTASY losing further ground and she never recovered. MORE SALT NEEDED shifted in going into the first bend and hampered METHOD MAN which was unbalanced and lost ground.
Race 11	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	TONGARIRO and CRYSTAL GHOST jostled together going to the first corner and lost ground. ROCK ON SPRITE and WORKING JEWEL jostled together going into the bend and ROCK ON SPRITE was then galloped on by CAWBOURNE BEAU and checked back to the rear and he never recovered.
Race 12	www.wanganuigreyhounds.co.nz C2 - C2 - 305	GEM'S CONQUEST began awkwardly losing three lengths and she then raced wide on the track covering extra ground and finished last. SHOWEM BABY shifted out soon after the start and bumped with SHEZA FOOLING which was pushed wide and lost ground.
Race 13	Tier 2 - Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	FLAYOSC was slow to begin but made up ground for 4th placing. SYDENHAM OPAL bumped FLIRT WITH ME in onto LAVENDER SAL soon after the start and they were inconvenienced and settled back.
Race 14	Tier 2 - Non Tote - Tier 2 - 305	ELLO ELLE was tigthened between SYDENHAM JADE and WITCH MISTY going to the first corner and went back and was galloped on by BACKYARD QUEEN and fell but regained her feet to finish onto the lure. ELLO ELLE was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have thigh muscle pain and some abrasions.
