Judicial report: Race 3 was declared a No Race under Rule 76.1 with a restart approved under Rule 76.5 when most of the field was passed fit by the veterinarian. Following this breakdown the programme was put back by one race.

In the run to the turn GOLDSTAR MATER shifted ground outwards and bumped JESSIE SURFS with GOLDSTAR MATER becoming unbalanced into the turn and losing ground. In the home straight JESSIE SURFS checked off the heels of HAREEBA TIME when improving along the rail and lost momentum. |
Race 2 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C1 - 310 | SAM'S FLYIN NORM was slow to jump. Shortly after the jump BOWMAN shifted ground outwards when tightened by BIZARRO with CHERRY CRUSHER pushed wide and making firm contact with GOLDSTAR ROSIE who was turned sideways and lost momentum. Into the home straight BOWMAN ran outwards and checked GOLDSTAR ROSIE |
Race 3 | St Kilda Veterinary Centre Stakes - C0 - 545 | KNOW JUDGE (GA Cleeve) was a late scratching at 11.00am when the trainer advised of a vehicle break down on the way to the course. The dog was withdrawn without penalty due to the exceptional circumstances. After approximately 70m the lure stopped due to a mechanical malfunction. Under Rule 76.1 the race was declared a No Race. The veterinarian assessed the starters with all dogs fit to restart with the exception of KNOW CERTAINTY which was withdrawn without penalty. A restart was authorised under Rule 76.5. The lure carriage was repaired and tested, and the race start time put back one race. In the re-run TOKEN RAY jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. |
Race 4 | Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Stakes - C1 - 545 | MOON ANDSEA, KNOW DANGER, TANTO'S WHISPER and TODDY'S A FLYER were slow to start. Into the first turn MOON AND SEA ran outwards pushing NOGGIN wide and checking TANTO'S WHISPER and TODDY'S A FLYER. |
Race 5 | Roofing Solutions Sprint - C1 - 310 | From the jump WORD FOR WORD shifted ground inwards sharply checking PETRA HAKA and bumping GOLDSTAR CHYNA. Into the turn MONACO DENVER shifted ground inwards tightening ADMIRAL ADAM who struck the rear of MONACO DENVER and fell. ADMIRAL ADAM regained his feet to finish and was referred to the veterinarian for assessment which revealed no abnormalities. |
Race 6 | Speedprint Shop Sprint - C2 - 310 | JOHN DORY was slow to begin. Into the turn GO TOMMO was tightened between HOMEBUSH LIGNITE and PEDRO FORCE becoming unbalanced and severely checked losing all chance. As a result of this incident CAWBOURNE PLUNGE was forced wide on the turn and lost ground. GO TOMMO was referred to the veterinarian for assessment which revealed no abnormalities. |
Race 7 | A. F. Johnston Electrical Sprint - C3 - 310 | JASPER HAKA was slow to jump. Shortly afterwards JACK'S A JEWEL ran outwards checking JASPER HAKA and tightening WAIMAK DAVE and ANOTHER GROOM. Into the turn ANOTHER GROOM shifted inwards checking JASPER HAKA and JACK' S A JEWEL who then ran outwards and forced HOMEBUSH IRIS and KNOW SECURITY wide. Into the home straight CLAREMONT PIZZAZ was checked when ANOTHER GROOM shifted ground inwards. After the race WAIMAK DAVE struck the lure heavily was referred to the veterinarian for assessment which revealed no abnormalities. |
Race 8 | Roofing Solutions Stakes - C2/3 - 545 | HIS LORDSHIP was slow to begin. From the jump HIS LORDSHIP then checked off the heels of BRONELLY LAD and lost momentum when unbalanced. Into the back straight FALSE NOTION checked off the heels of ON THE LEVEL and lost ground. FALSE NOTION ran wide down the back straight and into the final turn checked off KNOW SECURITY when crossing to the rail. |
Race 9 | Bramwell Scaffolding Stakes - C4/5 - 545 | From the jump PINDARI and OPAWA CASPER bumped and lost momentum. In the run to the first turn OPAWA BOMB crossed and made heavy contact with TRAVELLING JOE with both dogs losing ground. On the first turn TRAVELLING JOE shifted out and pushed OPAWA BOMB wide. |
Race 10 | Advanced Racing Series Final - NZRSf - 545 | FINN MCMISSILE was a late scratching at kennelling when found to have a left front toe injury. From the jump KNOW ATTEMPT was slow and lost ground. |
Race 11 | Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C5 - 310 | KERAMUS jumped awkwardly and was then checked as HETFIELD shifted ground inwards. Into the turn HETFIELD checked off JUMPIN' JULIA and ran outwards pushing NOBLE FANTASY and KNOW LIES wide with OSCAR TUIVASA also inconvenienced. |
Race 12 | Racing Again Tuesday 3rd June Dash - C4 - 310 | At the jump TAKE NO PRISONER shifted out and checked HOMEBUSH EDITH. Into the turn STAR DREAMER checked off the rear of RONROSE HILL and pushed EMILY PATRICK wide on the track. |
