Health and Safety comment: NIL

Judicial report: Due to a power cut that the area had received at 10:50am, the Stewards permitted dogs which had not been kenneled for the first allotted kennel time to proceed without completing the weighing process. Power was restored prior to the first race with the kenneling process being continued as normal.
MY MATE SORROW (Race 9) was a late scratching during kenneling when being presented to the Veterinarian and found to have a strip muscle injury.

Race 1	Awapuni Stakes C0 - C0 - 457	LITTLE PROPHET shifted in shortly after the start forcing ELEPHANT TRUNK into the line of SHINZIGZAG which was heavily bumped. SHINZIGZAG angled out on the bend and bumped with ELEPHANT TRUNK which was turned outward momentarily. SHINZIGZAG continued to shift ground out and in doing so, forced ELEPHANT TRUNK and LITTLE PROPHET over extra ground.
Race 2	Woodville Dash C0 - C0 - 375	ROSA GALLICA was awkwardly away and shortly after stumbled, losing ground. ROSA GALLICA settled at the rear of the field however once in clear running, finished strongly for third placing. HOMEBUSH TOKI stumbled leaving the boxes and as a result lost ground. SNIFF OF BRANDY shifted out rounding the bend forcing WORTH A CRACK and HOMEBUSH TOKI wider.
Race 3	Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375	CAWBOURNE BEAU shifted in abruptly from the boxes checking LITTLE ARTHUR and forcing DODGY POCKETS into the line of CRYSTAL GHOST which lost ground.
Race 4	J P Print, Petone C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	BACKYARD BULLY shifted in from the boxes momentarily crowding CRUSHED MONKEY and HEAR HARE HERE. MAGIC BOLT shifted out shortly after and bumped with HEAR HARE HERE several occasions. HEAR HARE HERE shifted out approaching the bend and checked CRUSHED MONKEY out onto THRILLING CHARLY, with both runners losing ground and unable to recover.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C2 - C2 - 375	BLUE SENIOR angled in approaching the bend placing RAVEON, HOMEBUSH ENVY and KEEZ all in restricted room. Shortly after HOMEBUSH ENVY checked off the heels of RAVEON and lost ground. Entering the home straight, PENO BOY shifted out and contacted a hind leg of MISSY SLOY which was briefly unbalanced. PENO BOY continued to shifted out over the early stages of the home run and forced RAVEON over extra ground.
Race 6	Marton Dash C1 Final - C1f - 375	CHELSEA'S BEAUTY was crowded shortly after the start between CAWBOURNE TIP and ALAMEIN KAT which shifted out. MONKEY QUEEN which jumped from box 8 was obliged to race wide throughout. CAWBOURNE FLOW shifted in over the final stages and placed CAWBOURNE TIP in restricted room.
Race 7	www.racingdogs.co.nz C3 - C3 - 375	NOT BAD shifted in from the boxes hampering STARBURST BLANCH which lost ground and settled at the rear. ANOTHER PIZZA shifted in abruptly at the start making firm contact with BOSTON BLAZE which in turn bumped with IT'S A DOLL. IT'S A DOLL began awkwardly and approaching the bend, shifted out off the heels of ANOTHER PIZZA and hampered REBEL KAHN which was trailing.
Race 8	Ashhurst Dash C4 - C4 - 375	GO FERN GO was a late scratching after being found to be lame on race morning. GO FERN GO was presented to the Veterinarian which confirmed the dog to be suffering from a Metatarsal injury. Into the bend, LADY ANABELLA was crowded for room between CHOCDEE ALICE and CAESAR CHANCE, shortly after clipping the heel of CHOCDEE ALICE and falling. Inconvenienced as a result was TALK IT OVER and ATTIRE. LADY ANABELLA was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment.
Race 9	Cloverlea Dash C5 - C5 - 375	BOLT RAMA and WISE CRACK LAD both shifted ground from the boxes resulting in CALL ME RALPH and DOLLY PEG being crowded. Approaching the bend, CHARMING NEV shifted out abruptly off the heels of BOLT RAMA, checking DOLLY PEG which lost ground and hampering CALL ME RALPH which was forced to race wider. UNO ALLEGRO and DOLLY PEG raced in restricted room near the finish when COSMIC FURY shifted in.
Race 10	Shannon Dash C5 - C5 - 375	LOST IN LIGHT was slow to begin. ZIPPING TAY was crowded leaving the boxes when STIRLING DANN shifted in. STIRLING DANN was crowded shorty after when NGAURUHOE angled in. CHEMICALLY FREE raced wide throughout.
Race 11	www.thedogs.co.nz C5 - C5 - 457	UNO ORANGE, RENE RANGER and REALLY CLEVER all jostled for a short distance along the back straight when placed in restricted room by MAMMY BROWN which angled in. RENE RANGER was checked as a result and went back through the field onto UNO ORANGE, with these two runners bumping on several occasions. REALLY CLEVER shifted out rounding the bend and improved up onto the back of COLD TURKEY which lost the use of it's hind leg briefly. REALLY CLEVER continued to shift ground out and forced OSTAPCHUK over extra ground.
Race 12	Feilding Stakes C2 Final - C2f - 457	PSEUDONYM was slow to begin and was hampered shortly after when VARGA FROST shifted out. MY LIL LUCIFER was buffeted for a short distance approaching the bend between CIDER DRINKA and PSEUDONYM which was looking to angled wider.
Race 13	Foxton Stakes C4 - C4 - 457	JONESY'S FORTUNE bumped with EL JETTA at the start with EL JETTA shifting out making contact with the hindquarters of BLUE AND CURLY which was unbalanced briefly. EL JETTA raced in restricted room along the back straight when RUN JUNIOR RUN angled wider. PHONE TAP, JONESY' S FORTUNE, RUN JUNIOR RUN and EL JETTA all raced in tight quarters rounding the bend when THRILLING ZOOM which was racing to there outside angled in. JOHNNY RITZA which was trailing had to shift out and across heels to improve.
Race 14	See You Next Monday C1 - C1 - 457	SECONDS GOOD and CURIOUS LIFE came together and made firm contact at the start and were hampered shortly after when ROCK ON SPRITE shifted in abruptly. SECONDS GOOD and TEPIRITA TUITEKA race wide rounding the bend when racing toward the rear. ROCK ON SPRITE and ALWAYS WELCOME bumped entering the home straight resulting in ALWAYS WELCOME being turned inward momentarily.
