| Race 1 | BELINDA & DENNIS BARGH DASH C5 - C5 - 305 | DOLLY PEG shifted out from the rail going into the first corner and caused tightening to EMBEE DEE and COSMIC PEARL and they both lost ground and went back to the rear. UNO ALLEGRO which was racing outside those runners was also hampered and forced wide into the bend and they finished at the rear. |
| Race 2 | PETER CAMPBELL ENGRAVERS DASH C2 - C2 - 305 | SHEIK 'EM UP checked over the heels of THUNDER TIME going to the first corner and shifted out hampering OPAWA GIFT and MISS SARA for a short distance. A few strides further on, SHEIK 'EM UP bumped with MISS SARA which shifted out forcing OPAWA GIFT to race wide into the bend over extra ground. |
| Race 3 | ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS SPRINT C3 - C3 - 305 | JILL SPRITE shifted out going into the bend and UNO FLASH shifted in and this resulted in SHELDON BAXTER and HOMEBUSH VERONA which were racing in between, being checked and losing two lengths. A short distance further on, JILL SPRITE checked off the back of UNO FLASH and shifted into the line of HOMEBUSH VERONA which was checked and fell. HOMEBUSH VERONA regained her feet to finish onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have pain the shoulder muscles. SHELDON BAXTER was also referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have dislocated a toe. |
| Race 4 | COMMITTEE SPRINT C4 - C4 - 305 | VISIONARY MAN which had not raced for over two months was presented weighing 1.9 kilograms up in weight from his last start and this increase was intentional. CAWBOURNE BANKSY and CHOCDEE ALICE both began a little awkwardly and settled back. VISIONARY MAN jumped on terms with the other runners but a short distance further on, his galloping action became very awkward and he drifted back to finish the race several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a gracilus muscle injury. MATILDA'S BABE checked over the heels of ZIPPING TAY approaching the straight entrance and shifted out losing ground. A short distance further on, CAWBOURNE BANKSY checked over the heels of MATILDA'S BABE and also lost ground. |
| Race 5 | GOLD BAND FINANCE C2 - C2 - 520 | RUTHS RAIDER was momentarily hampered when the start was made and settled back. She was hampered again going into the first bend and then raced a little wide on that bend covering extra ground. SARAH'S DOMAIN was observed to ease going into the first bend and went back to near the rear. She also eased for some distance going into the back straight losing several lengths and eventually finished a distance behind the other runners and was referred to the Vet for assessment. SARAH'S DOMAIN was found to have hock pain. |
| Race 6 | A1 EMBROIDERY STAKES C2/3 - C2/3 - 520 | ON THE LEVEL shifted in abruptly from the start and checked BUSTER BOY which lost ground and settled at the rear. HEAR HARE HERE and OPAWA TOKEN became awkwardly placed in restricted room on the first bend and lost three lengths. ALAMEIN JAH was also affected in the incident and also lost ground and they stayed back to finish in the last three places. OPAWA TOKEN and ALAMEIN JAH bumped together and became unbalanced on the home turn. ON THE LEVEL was observed to be slightly lame following the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment where he was found to have cramp with no stand down required. |
| Race 7 | CAPITAL PAVING & LANDSCAPING NZ Futurity Final Gp1 - R/Af - 520 | SPEEDY KAZZA shifted out from the start and REALLY CLEVER shifted in slightly and this resulted in checks to themselves and also ANDREA and NIGHT PEARL and they settled at the rear. REALLY CLEVER checked off the back of SASSY ROAD going into the back straight and went back onto RITZA DANNY and they both lost ground. |
| Race 8 | Wellington Feature Stakes C5 - C5 - 520 | WAY TOO CRUDE was the slowest to begin but recovered well to win the race. WHAT'S UP GEE shifted in going into the first bend and checked RENE RANGER which then shifted out and was checked from behind by PUNCH ON JAIME and lost further ground. BIGTIME JET shifted in entering the back straight and checked RENE RANGER which lost four lengths and all chance and he stayed back to finish in last place. |
| Race 9 | Premier Sprint Final C5 - C5f - 305 | EXPONENTIAL LILY shifted in going into the bend, across the line of BIG JAMESY which had to change ground out and this resulted in checks to COSMIC FURY and RUN LACEY RUN which bumped together and became unbalanced. S few strides further on, SUPER ROOSTER checked over the heels of EXPONENTIAL LILY, became unbalanced and shifted out forcing BIG JAMESY to race wide on the bend and they both covered extra ground. |
| Race 10 | B & P ENGINEERING STAKES C4/5 - C4/5 - 520 | KNUCKLE BUMP was slow tto begin losing two lengths. KWASANT shifted in going into the first bend and bumped with RED CRYSTAL and they lost momentum. KNUCKLE BUMP then raced onto the back of KWASANT and fell but regained his feet to finish onto the lure. KNUCKLE BUMP was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have bruising and grazing to the hind legs. |
| Race 11 | McANDREWS MENSWEAR DASH C4 - C4 - 305 | SWEET LIES and CAWBOURNE BULLY bumped together soon after the start and became a little unbalanced. A short distance further on, AGENT JORGE shifted in abruptly and caused buffetting and checks to SWEET LIES, CAWBOURNE BULLY and CAWBOURNE BURN and they all lost ground. GO FERN GO shifted out going into the bend and forced SWEET LIES to race wide over extra ground. |
| Race 12 | WGTN GRC BACK @ HATRICK IN JANUARY C5 - C5 - 305 | NEED TO CHILL and MIGHTY EXPLOSIVE were slow to begin losing two lengths. WATERBUG and SWAPAN jostled together for several strides going to the first corner and they eventually checked and went back to the rear and never recovered. |
