Track: Dead The track was rated slushy for the first 5 races today due to constant rain over the previous days but as the weather improved the track was upgraded to Dead from Race 6.

Race 1	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Sprint - C1 - 310	MASSAGE ONLY and SMASH MAGIC were slow to begin. GROOVY LEO was also slow through the early stages. NEW INGILLTAB was crowded racing into the bend and lost ground. BUSINESS BOSS shifted in on bend and crowded and unbalanced CHERRY CHRUSHER momentarily. On the turn for home SMASH MAGIC has shifted ground outwards and took MASSAGE ONLY very wide on the track. Stewards reviewed footage of this incident with the connections of SMASH MAGIC in relation to a possible breach of Rule 80.1.a however the video footage was inconclusive and ordered the greyhound undergo one satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary examination of BUSINESS BOSS who was noticeably lame in an off hind leg. The subsequent examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A further veterinary examination will be carried out tomorrow and stewards will be advised of any findings.
Race 2	Green Island Super Liquor Stakes - C1 - 545	SAILOR'S COLLAR shifted out from the start and ran outwards during the front straight hampering NOGGIN and GOLDSTAR BRIDIE. Racing into the first bend SAILOR'S COLLAR has shifted back inwards crowding and checking THRILLING JAMES and OPAWA ALBIE.. The trailing PUKEKO PROWLER was hampered in this incident. Further into the bend GOLDSTAR BRIDIE has shifted out and marred the running of GOLDSTAR CHYNA. Stewards acting under Rule 80.1.a charged GOLDSTAR BRIDIE (S&B EVANS) with the breach of the marring rules. The breach being admitted.by the co trainer B Evans with the resultant stand down of GOLDSTAR BRIDIE for 28 days with a satisfactory trial to be completed.
Race 3	Roofing Solutions Maiden Stakes - C0 - 545	JESSIE SURFS was slow to begin. LADY MUI shifted in abruptly at the start crowding and checking KNOW CERTAINTY, OPAWA KENDAL and GOLDSTAR JUNIOR. HAMMOCK and KNOW CERTAINTY jostled for some distance in the run through the first straight. HAMMOCK failed to maintain contact with the field through the middle stages and eventually finished last. Stewards spoke with trainer John Guthrie who advised that in his opinion HAMMOCK had not handled the step up in distance today and that he would be kept for sprint distances in the immediate future.
Race 4	Otago Petfoods Sprint - C0 - 310	MISTY AS shifted in abruptly at the start making heavy contact with MASTER AT ARMS. As the field made the start of the bend FINANCE TOMMO was tightened between ANOTHER PLANE and LEMON FISH who shifted in. LEMON FISH then became unbalanced and shifted out hampering and unbalancing SMASH THAT.
Race 5	Green Island Barber Sprint - C1 - 310	WINNIE WILLOW and BO'S BUSINESS made heavy contact on jumping with both dogs losing ground. WANDY PAM had to check off heels racing round the bend. BO'S BUSINESS raced very wide in the final straight. WANDY PAM was injured on pulling up and was attended to by the on course veterinarian.
Race 6	Speedprint Shop Stakes - C2 - 545	There was a delay of about 5 minutes to the start of this race due to the lure being replaced and tested. KNOW AMBITION was tightened at start and lost ground. THRILLING SOUND was also tightened and lost ground. KNOW AMBITION had to shift wider on the track racing into the first bend to find clear racing room. PUKEKO THUNDER raced wide in both straights.
Race 7	Roofing Solutions Sprint - C2 - 310	HOMEBUSH CORAL was slow to begin. OPAWA COLIN, STARBURST BENNY and SAN SEBASTIAN were all buffeted at the start with STARBURST BENNY losing considerable momentum. Racing into the bend OPAWA COLIN brushed the rail and became unbalanced. STARBURST BENNY has made heavy contact with the rail at this point and fell to the track failing to complete the race. STARBURST BENNY was referred to the veterinarian for examination and found to be suffering a cut to left hind foot and general soreness. SAN SEBASTIAN and OPAWA COLIN made contact in the run home.
Race 8	Otago Daily Times Sprint - C3 - 310	WAIMAK DAVE shifted in abruptly at the start checking JASPER HAKA and making firm contact with ELKI. Rounding the bend towards the straight WAIMAK DAVE was crowded and checked by CEC DIVINE who shifted in. OPAWA RUFUS clipped a heel and fell after the finish line but was uninjured.
Race 9	Advanced Racing Series - NZRSq - 545 Heat 1	KNOW ATTEMPT was slow to begin. BOTANY PRANCER was crowded and checked by BOB'S EVE who shifted in when racing into the first bend.
Race 10	Advanced Racing Series - NZRSq - 545 Heat 2	BOTANY KEVIN was slow to begin. Racing into the first bend STOLEN MONEY, FINN MCMISSILE and HOMEBUSH CHOPPER all jostled resulting in HOMEBUSH CHOPPER shifting out and forcing ANDREA wider on the turn. Further into the first turn ANDREA shifted back down the track and made heavy contact with BOTANY KEVIN whom was improving to its inside. Racing into the back straight INDI'S GRACE has shifted out crowding and forcing OAWA ANDREA, BOTANY KEVIN and ANDREA all wider on the track. INDI'S GRACE raced in restricted room rounding the final bend.
Race 11	Keyosk Service Bar Dash - C5 - 310	KERAMUS was slow to begin. PEARL'S BOY and IONA HAKA jostled in the run down the back straight.
Race 12	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C4 - 310	HOMEBUSH EDITH was slow to begin. Racing towards the bend OSCAR TUIVASSA shifted in and checked SPRINKLES. BAD WEEK and HOMEBUSH EDITH made heavy contact at the same point in the race. BAD WEEK raced in restricted room in the early part of the bend.
Race 21	Non Tote C1 Sprint - Tier 2 - 310	MONACO DENVER ran outwards at start checking ADMIRAL ADAM. Into the bend COSMIC BOLERO shifted in crowding and unbalancing HOMEBUSH RADAR with both dogs losing considerable momentum. As a result the trailing WANDY MILLAH was checked.
