Judicial report: JAZZBOY JACK (R Blackburn), which had qualified for the Maiden 520m final, was withdrawn prior to the box draw with a veterinary certificate supplied.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C0 - 295	HOMEBUSH LUCIFER (2), OHOKA TOO SOON (4) and BLAZING HOT (6) were the last trio at the jump. DUSTY RIDER (5) ran outwards on two occasions in the back straight checking RACONTEUR (7) who lost ground with an improving BLAZING HOT also being inconvenienced in behind. ANOTHER PLANE (1) was tightened and checked on the bend and fell with RACONTEUR and HOMEBUSH LUCIFER both being checked at this point. The pacemaking UNO NOSEY (3) shifted up the track marginally on the home turn with DUSTY RIDER and GIN SLING (8) both being pushed wider. ANOTHER PLANE regained his paws and ran to the lure with a veterinary assessment finding no abnormalities.
Race 2	Johnny Midnight At Stud Sprint - C0 - 295	TOO MUCH REBEL (3) was last to jump. HOMEBUSH HAPPY (4) ran inwards in the back straight dictating the line of RICK'S TERRA (2) down the track. RICK'S TERRA checked outwards off the hindquarters of HAREEBA TIME (6) on the home turn and lost a length.
Race 3	racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C0 - 520	CASY'S RAIDA (1) and KNOW JUDGE (7) were slow to jump with SPEIGHT'S KID (6) going down on his nose and losing ground. OPAWA JACKIE (8) ran inwards checking LOOK LEFT (4) in the early stages. KNOW JUDGE checked off runners into the first bend and ran wide losing a length. LOOK LEFT was tightened at the end of the back straight and lost ground with SPEIGHT'S KID being hampered for a stride.
Race 4	Christchurch Casino Dash - C0 - 295	In a straggly start to the race HOMEBUSH TED (3), ATOMIC LASS (4), AXEL FOLEY (5) and MARTY MCMOTH (6) all dwelt and settled well back. HOMEBUSH VICKS (1) angled off the rail into the bend and checked CRONK WENT PLONK (8) who lost ground. On the home turn MARTY MCMOTH checked off the back of AXEL FOLEY and ran outwards pushing CRONK WENT PLONK and ATOMIC LASS wider on the track.
Race 5	Coalgate Tavern Maiden Stakes Final - C0f - 520	SLEEPER AGENT (3) and BLACK DUDE (6) were the last pair at the jump. GOLDSTAR CHYNA (2) was checked into the first bend and dropped to the rear. SLEEPER AGENT ran wide after this incident pushing BLACK DUDE wider. DEE (5) was tightened on the first bend and lost momentum. DEE and GOLDSTAR CHYNA came together and jostled on the home turn when well back.
Race 6	C.T.V. Dash - C0 - 295	SMASH THAT (2), OHOKA JOKA (3) and HOMEBUSH MELVIN (4) were the last trio at the jump. Into the bend SMASH THAT checked outwards pushing FINANCE TOMMO (8) on to OHOKA JOKA with this trio losing ground.
Race 7	Yella Mustard At Stud Stakes - C0 - 520	In the early stages LADY MUI (6) ran inwards as OPAWA MICHELLE (1) angled away from the rail resulting in this pair and FLYING AMELIA (2), STYLISH DRAGON (9), JESSIE SURFS (4) and KNOW SMIGGLE (5) all being badly checked and losing ground. KNOW SMIGGLE ran wide on the first bend. OPAWA MICHELLE, FLYING AMELIA and STYLISH DRAGON, the worst affected in the early scrimmage, were all referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 8	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C2 - 295	JASPER HAKA (2) was slow to jump. AVEC LAMOUR (4) was badly tightened and lost ground into the bend. Soon after BILLY MUGGINS (7) angled inwards badly checking OHOKA COBY (6) with BLICKLING BRIDGE (3) also being badly inconvenienced, this pair dropping to the rear and losing their chances.
Race 9	Chris & Lisa Earl Sprint - C0 - 295	OHOKA NATASHA (3), GANACHE (4) and WAXEYE'S BIG KID (5) were the last trio to jump. LUM JUM (6) angled inwards on the home turn causing slight tightening to GANACHE who lost a length.
Race 10	The Turf Bar Stakes - C2 - 520	VOUSSOIR (7) was tightened into the first bend and settled last. KNOW AMBITION (2) shifted up the track soon after pushing MR. BARRY (4) over extra ground. OHOKA FRENCHI (1) was checked for a stride at the end of the back straight and lost a length.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C2 - 295	OUT BACK BILL (6) and MULBERRY BROOK (8) were the last pair on settling. MULBERRY BROOK received a slight check on the bend and ran wide losing ground.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C2 - 295	HOMEBUSH CORAL (1) was last to jump. RITE ROUND RANGE (2) was tightened into the bend as WUNZEE (6) angled inwards.
