Judicial report: JINJA RUBY (J & D Fahey) completed a Satisfactory Trial as required by Rule 81. Trainer M Grant was issued with a warning for failing to produce the papers for CAWBOURNE FLOYD in Race 4.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295	BLUE GALE RISE (1) was slow to begin. DAMARJO (3) shifted outwards at the start and collided with MORE BETTER (6) with MILDRED LILLIAN (4) and TAKE NO PRISONER (5) also being checked. Racing into the turn NOT A KNOW (7), TAKE NO PRISONER (5) and MILDRED LILLIAN collided. MOTLEY MAN (2) checked off the heels of MORE BETTER entering the bend and shifted outwards forcing DAMARJO and HOMEBUSH EDITH (8) wider on the track. Rounding the bend MOTLEY MAN and BLUE GALE RISE came together. BLUE GALE RISE shifted outwards early in the run home to avoid the heels of HOMEBUSH EDITH. When questioned regarding the improved performance of MORE BETTER, co-trainer S Nissen explained that the dog was having its second run back from a spell and had been checked last start. She added that the dog had been downgraded for this race and it had appreciated the drop in class.
Race 2	Clarkson Sign Studio Dash - C3 - 295	Into the bend MY FOOLISH HEART (4) shifted down the track checking MER DE NOMS (2) and KNOW FAULT (1). MER DE NOMS shifted outwards shortly after hampering MY FOOLISH HEART and MAKER'S LABEL (7). CAWBOURNE PILFER (3) checked off the heels of MER DE NOMS in the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance of LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE (6), kennel representative J McInerney Jnr explained that the dog had been disappointing in recent starts after losing confidence in an incident at Dunedin three races ago. He added that the dog was able to capitalise on an uninterrupted run tonight.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C5 - 295	KERAMUS (2) was slow to begin. DRYSDALE (3) and TEPIRITA CHARGER (4) bumped at the start. DRYSDALE and TEPIRITA CHARGER lost ground racing down the back straight after being tightened for racing room by ADROIT (5). Racing into the bend DRYSDALE, ADROIT, HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (6) and TWO WAYS (7) collided with all four dogs losing ground. Stewards requested a post race Veterinary examination of CAWBOURNE DASHER (1) after the bitch fell over the running rail at the lure. This examination cleared the dog of any injury.
Race 4	Christchurch Casino Stakes - C3 - 520	CAWBOURNE FLOYD (4) and GEE CEE BEE (7) were slow to begin. AIR FLOW (5) and FALSE NOTION (3) came together at the start. RAMBUNCTIOUS (6) shifted inwards in the early stages hampering AIR FLOW and FALSE NOTION. RAMBUNCTIOUS, CAWBOURNE FLOYD and AIR FLOW came together rounding the first bend. EVEN SEVEN (1) and HOMEBUSH IRIS (7) collided rounding the final bend hampering the trailing GEE CEE BEE and CAWBOURNE FLOYD.
Race 5	Shirley Vet Cinic Sprint - C3 - 295	CAMPAIGNER (2) was a stride slow to begin. JACK'S A JEWEL (1) collided with CAWBOURNE CHIEF (3) and CEC DEVINE (4) in the early stages. Racing into the bend JACK'S A JEWEL commenced to shift outwards while simultaneously ANOTHER ANOTHER (8) shifted ground inwards resulting in checks to CAWBOURNE CHIEF, CAWBOURNE PLUNGE (5), OPAWA RUFUS (6) and CAMPAIGNER. Shortly after JACK'S A JEWEL and ANOTHER ANOTHER collided. JACK'S A JEWEL checked off the heels of OPAWA RUFUS rounding the bend. JACK'S A JEWEL was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment.
Race 6	Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C4 - 295	BELLWAVE (9) and KNOW TRUST (2) were slow to begin. SWIP AND TEAR (4) checked off the heels of OSCAR TUIVASA (6) racing into the bend and hampered the trailing KNOW TRUST and BELLWAVE. WANDY LUCK (5) became awkwardly placed on the heels of OSCAR TUIVASA early in the run home and lost momentum. EXPLODABLE (8) was examined by the Veterinarian after falling at the lure and cleared of injury.
Race 7	Kolorful Kanvas Srakes - C5 - 520	OPAWA RAPID (1) and CAWBOURNE MERC (2) were very slow to begin. Racing into the first bend BOTANY KEVIN (7) galloped on the heels of NO UNDIES SUNDY (6) and shifted wider on the track inconveniencing OPAWA NO EAR (8).
Race 8	I Pave Concrete Dash - C5 - 295	JUMPIN' JULIA (1) blundered at the start and lost momentum. SOPHIE'S TERRA (4) and DILLMANSTOWN (5) came together in the early stages. Racing into the bend OPULENT (9) shifted outwards and made contact with KNOW PRIDE. OPULENT was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment.
Race 9	David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C5 - 295	OPAWA LEGS (2), BILLY WEST (4) and KNOW LIES (8) were slow to begin. ANGELIC STAR (6) and HETFIELD (7) came together at the start. ANGELIC STAR and TERRA ANNIE (5) bumped racing along the back straight. TERRA ANNIE collided with OPAWA LEGS racing into the bend and dropped to the rear. BILLY WEST (4) checked off the heels of ANGELIC STAR early in the run home. TERRA ANNIE was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment.
Race 10	Flair Stakes - C4 - 520	TAKE A TRICK (4), INDI'S GRACE (5) and OPAWA ANDREA (6) collided in the early stages. Racing into the first bend OPAWA BOMB (7) shifted down the track placing TAKE A TRICK and OPAWA JED (10) in restricted room. OPAWA BOMB and DEANNE'S FANTASY (2) bumped rounding the first bend. Leaving the back straight INDI'S GRACE and DEANNE'S FANTASY came together with the trailing OPAWA JED also being inconvenienced. INDI'S GRACE and TAKE A TRICK bumped rounding the final bend.
Race 11	C.T.V. Dash - C5 - 295	ANOTHER JEWEL (5), TRANS TASMAN (6) and ANOTHER JEWEL (7) came together in the early stages. RUSTY KNIFE (1) checked off the heels of QUEDRAGO (2) in the early stages. ROQETTE (8) and PEARL'S BOY (4) jostled racing along the back straight. Racing into the bend ANGEL NOIR (3), PEARL'S BOY and ROQETTE collided. RUSTY KNIFE came together with PEARL'S BOY leaving the bend when in search of clear running. TRANS TASMAN and ROQETTE bumped early in the run home.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	The start was delayed due to the muzzle on BAD WEEK (6) requiring attention. BLONDE TORI (2) and SPRINKLES (3) came together at the start. KNOW FAVOURS (4) BIT PICCADILLY (5) and BAD WEEK (6) collided in the early stages. Approaching the bend KNOW FAVOURS and CAWBOURNE JELLY (8) bumped. KNOW FAVOURS and BATIATUS (7) collided entering the bend and again rounding the bend. ELKI (1) raced wide upon entering the home straight.
