Track: Good Mechanical failure with the lure during the running of race 5. The lure was tested to satisfaction and operated well for the remainder of the meeting.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: DEPOSIT TED, who had had a 60 day stand down imposed from the 23/3/14 up to and including 15/5/14, was checked by the on course veterinarian following a trial and cleared of any injury. Under rule 82.5 this stand down has now been rescinded.

Race 1	Vita Power Ltd Sprint - C2 - 375	OPIE BOSSMAN (1) was slow away. Leaving the boxes UTAH BOLT (6) was tightened losing ground between DEVIOUS DANCER (7) and EXCITING DREAM (5) with these runners then coming together. Shortly after BELRANI (2) shifted out making solid contact with DEVIOUS DANCER with these runners then jostling for several strides also resulting in EXCITING DREAM, who was between these runners, being checked losing ground. Racing into the first bend UTAH BOLT and KING LUMPY (3) came together with both these runners losing ground. Rounding the bend KING LUMPY shifted out across the heels of OPIE BOSSMAN (8) inconveniencing EXCITING DREAM. KING LUMPY was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	The Clubhouse Sports Bar Stakes - C0 - 457	SHANDELL (1) was slow away. Rounding the bend SHANDELL checked after getting on the heels of MISS VEYRON (2). BELLA FORZA (3) was referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of any injuries.
Race 3	YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C1 - 375	FRENCH CURVES (6) began awkwardly stumbling in behind for a stride. FRENCH CURVES then shifted out making contact with FANCY MY LUCK (7). Racing into the first bend ONLY KATE (2) was tightened losing ground going back onto FRENCH CUREVS who had to steady and shift out off this runners heels. Early in the final straight FANCY MY LUCK made contact with the hindquarters of DO MORE (4).
Race 4	All Sew Embroidery Series Final - C1f - 457	SHARELLA (7) began awkwardly shifting in. JETSUN QUAKER (4) and GOOD RETURN (5) came together leaving the boxes with JETSUN QUAKER then shifting in making contact with DORO FOOT (3). JETSUN QUAKER then shifted out making further contact with GOOD RETURN with these runners losing ground as a result.. KISSEN RUN (6) was crowded losing ground leaving the boxes when runners either side shifted ground. Rounding the first bend WHIRLY RALSTON (8) faltered finishing some distance from the field. WHIRLY RALSTON was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 5	Blickeez Smoked Mobile Seafoods Sprint - C4 - 375	This event was declared a No Race under rule 76.1, due to a mechanical defect with the lure, with the lure malfunctioning prior to the winning post.
Race 6	Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Stakes - C1 - 457	There was a two minute delay to the start of this race due rectifying mechanical issues with the lure. The lure was tested to satisfaction prior to this event. COSMIC PIRATE (2) was slow away then shifted out to race wide on the track. Shortly after leaving the boxes NIKE GOODNESS (7), ANDREW'S OSTI (6), WHO DAT BOY (5) and THRILLING TREMOR (4) were all tightened between METHOD MAN (3) and TEEMARIA (8) who shifted in. Rounding the bend TEEMARIA steadied and checked off the heels of METHOD MAN.
Race 7	Mike Stent Decorators Sprint - C3 - 375	BORASCO (3) and JUNIOR WHAT (4) made contact leaving the boxes with these runners losing ground.
Race 8	Palamountains Nutrition Sprint - C5 - 375	Shortly after leaving the boxes SHORT AND SNAPPY (4) was checked losing ground when PREDATOR DRONE (3), LOCHINVAR BLAZE (5) and CALAMITY FREE (6) came together. These three runners continued to make contact racing toward the first bend with LOCHINVAR BLAZE then losing his footing and stumbling. Also inconvenienced was THRILLING EDGE (2) who was racing to the inside of these runners with these four runners then losing ground as a result. SHORT AND SNAPPY was inconvenienced racing around the bend between THRILLING EDGE and LOCHINVAR BLAZE. LOCHINVAR BLAZE was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 9	0800 4 Down Cow Stakes - C2 - 457	OPAWA JOHNNY (6) was slow away. Racing down the back straight ZIPPING WILL (7) and TEEGZ (5) made brief contact with TEEGZ losing ground. HOT POOTIE (1) and BEAU RIVAGE (2) made contact with HOT POOTIE losing ground. Entering the first bend ZIPPING WILL and LOCHINVAR SONIC (3) came together. TEEGZ and ZIPPING WILL came together rounding the final bend.
Race 10	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C5 - 375	VIVA VANE (3) was slow away. UNO LACHLAN (7) stumbled leaving the boxes losing ground as a result. REAL VAIN (5) and NEED TO CHILL (6) came together racing into the first bend. COCKY APPEAL (8) made contact with the hindquarters of NEED TO CHILL entering the first turn.
Race 11	Affordable Pet Accessories Stakes - C3 - 457	TAYLOR ROSE (4) was slow away. Shortly after the start BOTANY JUNCTION (6) and TEN POINT ONE (5) came together. Soon after PREMIER OSTI (2) made contact with THRILLING CHARLIE (1) then shifted out across heels making contact with ACTING UP (3).
Race 12	Harness Jewels @ The Clubhouse Sports Bar 31/5 Stakes - C5 - 457	Racing into the first bend ZAGATO (6) shifted in making contact with VALAIN'S FLYER (5) who was unbalanced losing ground and momentum. Also inconvenienced as a result was THRILLING BRAVE (3) who was racing to the inside of these runners. Racing down the final straight FANCY INVADER (2) appeared to go off stride. FANCY INVADER was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 13	Non Tote C1 Sprint - Tier 2 - 375	Racing into the first bend UNCLE ROMILLY (3) was checked after racing up onto the heels of STILL DON'T KNOW (1). VERY CHILLY (6) and VERSATILE RICHIE (4) were held up rounding the bend with VERSATILE RICHIE getting on the heels of UNCLE ROMILLY with both these dogs becoming unbalanced. Entering the final straight VERSATILE RICHIE shifted out slightly making contact with HOMEBUSH TITAN (5) who was momentarily unbalanced. TIGER'S IDOL (7) raced wide around the final bend.
