Judicial report: Trainer J.Lane, representing the training partnership of J.Lane and R.Wales, was fined $50 under the Minor Infringements Table for a breach of Rule 71.4 in that he failed to provide sufficient catchers for all seven runners in Race 9.

Race 1	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C0 - 390	From the jump SMASH EASY ran sharply inwards from the No.5 box and checked the four dogs on his inner. On the turn SMASH EASY then ran outwards and forced CELTIC HOUND wide on the track.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	VIENNA scrambled from the jump and was then checked as HOMEBUSH KELSO ran inwards. Into the turn ADMIRAL ADAM shifted ground out checking NEW INGILLTAB and COSMIC BOLERO who were forced wide on the track.
Race 3	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C1 - 390	From the jump CAWBOURNE ONYX ran out wide. Into the turn CHARLES FREDRICK and ROCKWOOD ARCHIE made contact, with ROCKWOOD ARCHIE then running out and forcing CHARLES FREDRICK and HOMEBUSH TIARE wide.
Race 4	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1/2 - 390	TURBO TUNDRA was slow to begin. SMASH AMY, JASPER HAKA, HOMEBUSH CORAL and ABOUND all came together shortly after the start resulting in SMASH AMY and HOMEBUSH CORAL being checked. JASPER HAKA and SAM'S FLYIN NORM made contact on the bend with SAM'S FLYIN NORM losing ground shortly afterwards.
Race 5	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C1/2 - 390	From the jump STOCK TAKER bumped CLAREMONT PIZZAZ who shifted out making heavy contact with GYPSY HUNTER, then ran inwards checking STOCK TAKER. Shortly afterwards STOCK TAKER ran out and bumped WANDY FEATHER. Approaching the bend OPAWA COLIN shifted ground outwards brushing the front shoulder of WANDY FEATHER simultaneously as STARBURST BENNY shifted inwards onto WUNZEE. As a result WUNZEE struck the hind quarters of WANDY FEATHER who fell and took no further part in the race. After the race WANDY FEATHER was referred to the veterinarian for assessment which revealed slight pain on left fore triceps.
Race 6	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C3 - 390	From the jump HOMEBUSH IRIS shifted ground inwards and checked ON THE LEVEL. Into the turn JACK'S A JEWEL shifted ground outwards tightening HOMEBUSH IRIS and checking CAWBOURNE CHIEF. On the bend JACK'S A JEWEL continued to run out and pushed OPAWA LEAN MEAT and ANOTHER ANOTHER wide. Further around the turn PRIMITIVE checked off the heels of ANOTHER ANOTHER and checked OPAWA LEAN MEAT.
Race 7	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEADS - C4 - 390	From the jump BOTANY PRANCER ran sharply inwards checking CAWBOURNE BURN. Into the turn BELLWAVE checked off the heels of MARY MARLOW checking HOMEBUSH EDITH and forcing BAD WEEK and MISS SWEET wide on the track.
Race 8	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C0 - 457	CASY'S RAIDA was slow to jump. Rounding the bend TONY'S CHOICE and JEWEL EAGLE made contact on several occasions which resulted in TONY'S CHOICE striking the hind quarters of JEWEL EAGLE which was turned sideways. Further round the bend OPAWA KENDAL shifted inwards and checked OPAWA MICHELLE and OPAWA JACKIE on his inside.
Race 9	ORETI BEACH SAND DISTANCE - C2d - 630	Racing into the first bend OPAWA ANNE ran inwards tightening BLUSHING BELLE which in turn shifted outwards resulting in OPAWA NO EAR and OPAWA JED being forced wider on the track.
Race 10	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C1/2 - 457	FLYING SWAN shifted inwards at the start and was struck from behind by HIS LORDSHIP. In the run to the turn CARAT'S PRINCE shifted outwards checking HIS LORDSHIP onto FLYING SWAN. On the bend TOKEN KAY shifted off the heels of OPAWA ALBIE forcing JOHN DORY outwards, with OPAWA BART also briefly inconvenienced. As a result of this incident CARAT'S PRINCE and FLYING SWAN were forced to race wide on the track around the checked runners. Turning for home CARAT'S PRINCE was held up by OPAWA BART and checked outwards.
Race 11	SOUTHLAND WINTER STAKES - C5 - 457	CAWBOURNE MERC was slow to jump. In the run to the turn THRILLING MARTY and INDI'S GRACE bumped resulting in the trailing OPAWA RAPID checking off the heels and losing ground. INDI'S GRACE also lost momentum. Into the turn THRILLING MARTY checked off the heels of GORDON BALE and forced CAWBOURNE MERC wide.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	At the jump SMASH RUMOUR and LITTLE MIDNIGHT bumped and lost momentum. Into the turn LITTLE MIDNIGHT shifted ground outwards and was struck on her outer by STING ME. Shortly afterwards SMASH RUMOUR shifted off the heels of LITTLE MIDNIGHT dictating STING ME wide on the track.
