Health and Safety comment: All handlers are reminded of the need to exercise caution when catching their dogs at the conclusion of races and to ensure that all dogs are at the lure before moving into the vicinity of the lure.

Judicial report: Handler J Shaw was questioned in relation to a dog being presented late for the second kennelling. Stewards accepted his explanation and no further action was deemed necessary.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C0 - 295	HARPIC (4) was last to jump. BUSINESS AFFAIR (7) ran sharply inwards in the early stages checking SHADOW BAXTER (6) for a stride. SHADOW BAXTER checked off DUSTY RIDER (3) into the bend and lost a length. MARLENE'S TERRA (5) was tightened on the bend and lost ground.
Race 2	Coalgate Tavern Maiden Stakes Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	KNOW SMIGGLE (1) came up with the lids and settled a clear last. RACONTEUR (10) checked outwards off the back of HOMEBUSH HAPPY (8) into the first bend and then was dragged down for a stride. Soon after KNOW SMIGGLE contacted the hindquarters of OPAWA KENDAL (4) with both runners losing ground. RACONTEUR dropped out to finish a margin last with the veterinary surgeon finding that the dog was suffering from mild cramp.
Race 3	Coalgate Tavern Maiden Stakes Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	WAXEYE'S BIG KID (4) was a clear last on jumping.
Race 4	Christchurch Casino Dash - C0 - 295	DRIP DRY OCEAN (5), AXEL FOLEY (7) and BIG JOHN CANON (8) were the last trio on jumping. HOMEBUSH VICKS (6) and COLDRUM (3) came together for a stride in the early stages. DRIP DRY OCEAN ran very wide on the home turn. On the home turn OUR CHARLOTTE (4) angled outwards checking BUDGIE FUDGING (1) and contacting BIG JOHN CANON for a stride.
Race 5	C.T.V. Sprint - C0 - 295	OHOKA TOO SOON (6) was a clear last on settling. PEPPERMINT PATTY (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. RICK'S TERRA (5) clipped the heels of FINANCE TOMMO (2) when improving on the home turn with RICK'S TERRA falling and causing inconvenience to LEMON FISH (8) who lost momentum. RICK'S TERRA was checked and cleared by the vet following the race.
Race 6	Coalgate Tavern Maiden Stakes Heat 3 - C0q - 520 Heat 3	SPEIGHT'S KID (3), SLEEPER AGENT (5) and BLACK DUDE (7) were the tardiest trio from the traps. On the first bend STYLISH DRAGON (9) angled outwards causing tightening to THUMB PRINT TONY (2), BLACK DUDE and KNOW JUDGE (4) who all lost ground with OPAWA MICHELLE (8) being forced wide around these runners. STYLISH DRAGON then angled back to the rail badly checking SPEIGHT'S KID who was improving to his inside. BLACK DUDE and KNOW JUDGE were both forced wide around this bend. At the end of the back straight STYLISH DRAGON was checked and dropped to the rear when racing to the outside of SPEIGHT'S KID.
Race 7	Yella Mustard At Stud Sprint - C2 - 295	GLENN IS GOODSEY (5) and JASPER HAKA (6) were the slowest pair from the traps. CAR BOOTLE (9) ran outwards in the early stages checking MARBELLA (7) who lost ground. Into the bend BLICKLING BRIDGE (8) ran inwards pushing CAR BOOTLE down the track on to JASPER HAKA and GLENN IS GOODSEY with this runner dropping to the rear.
Race 8	Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C3 - 295	JACK'S A JEWEL (1) was keen to angle outwards in the run down the back straight brushing with SHEZA GAMBLE (2). Into the first bend in a tightly compact unit RUN FOR SOPHIE (3) ran outwards as WEE TERRA (8) angled inwards resulting in KIN NIKKI (4), CAWBOURNE PLUNGE (5) and MOTLEY MAN (9) all being severely tightened. KIN NIKKI fell in this incident and was referred to the vet for assessment. Handler S Stone was reminded of the need to ensure all dogs are at the lure before catching her runner.
Race 9	Amber Cleaning Services Dash - C0 - 295	JUNIOR CLEEVE (8) was very slow to jump. HOMEBUSH SAXON (2) was tightened into the bend and lost ground.
Race 10	Clarkson Sign Studio Stakes - C2 - 520	MR. BARRY (2) and CAWBOURNE KESHA (8) were slow to jump. KYLIE'S BELLE (6) ran inwards into the first bend and struck the rail dropping out to a long last. This bitch was referred to the vet where no injury was detected. MR. BARRY was checked into the first bend losing a length. CAWBOURNE KESHA was forced very wide on the first bend losing ground.
Race 11	Dave Robbie Photographer Dash - C3 - 295	OPAWA LEAN MEAT (2) was last to jump. GORILLA ON DRUMS (7) ran inwards in the early stages pushing CAWBOURNE PILFER (6) down on to YALDHURST EDWARD (5), OPAWA LEAN MEAT and WILL EXCITE (1). WILL EXCITE was turned sideways at this point losing ground. CAWBOURNE PILFER ran outwards on the home turn.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C2 - 295	OPAWA COLIN (3) was last to jump. OPAWA COLIN was then held up on the bend before switching wide to run home well. RULE JUDGE JUDY (4) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. ANOTHER ANOTHER (8) angled inwards early in the home straight causing OHOKA HART (5) to be checked and change ground to the outside.
