Judicial report: (1) OCTANE TIME (RP Breen) successfully completed a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with Rule 81.1. (2) The trainer of LOCHINVAR CAMARO Mr C.Roberts was fined $100 under the Minor Infringements Table for a breach of Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in 2.2kg under his last start weight on 15th April 2014.

Race 1	WISHING YOU AN EGG-CEPTIONAL EASTER - C5 - 390	From the jump HOMEBUSH CHOPPER ran inwards from the No.6 box tightening DEANNE'S MAGIC and JUMPIN' JULIA on his inner. Into the turn SOME SAY checked off the heels of STING ME who had crossed from the outside draw, and in the process checked JUMPIN' JULIA and OPAWA LEGS.
Race 2	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C0 - 390	TOAST TIME jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. From the jump LEMON FISH ran sharply inwards from the No.7 box and checked BLAZING HOT. Around the turn into the home straight OLLIE BAXTER pushed outwards and forced TOAST TIME and BLAZING HOT wide on the track. Following the race the handler of BLAZING HOT referred the dog for a veterinarian assessment with a pulled left fore dew claw found. Whilst no stand down was required Stewards authorised the trainer of the dog (D Stapleton) under Rule 68.14 to have the dew claw bandaged for future races until the nail had healed.
Race 3	HOT CROSS BUNS DASH - C1 - 390	MR NOVEMBER was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. From the jump CHOKEHOLD ran inwards and checked THRILLING HENRY. Into the turn CHOKEHOLD continued to shift ground sharply inwards making heavy contact with CHARLES FREDERICK who in turn several checked the trailing ROCKWOOD ARCHIE who was forced wide losing all chance.
Race 4	greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 457	Into the turn CASEY'S RAIDA shifted ground inwards and made heavy contact with HOMEBUSH LUCIFER who was turned sideways, with both dogs losing all chances.
Race 5	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 457	From the jump LOLA BAXTER ran sharply inwards and checked OPAWA LUCKY, OPAWA SHAIDAN and THRILLING JAMES. From the No.7 box COVER TO COVER was severely checked when LINCOLN FLYER ran inwards. Following the race BLUSHING BELLE was referred to the veterinarian for assessment. The dog was found to have a small laceration above the right eye, with no stand down recommended.
Race 6	ADDED ENERGY DASH - C2/3 - 457	OPAWA ANDREA was slow to jump and lost ground. In the run to the turn OPAWA BOMB shifted ground inwards and checked GRUNT RODGERS on several occasions.
Race 7	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1/2 - 457	In the race to the turn CAWBOURNE FLOYD shifted ground inwards checking OPAWA COLIN. Into the turn as the field tightened OPAWA HOG checked off the rear of WAIMAK DAVE and checked CAWBOURNE KESHA, OPAWA COLIN, CAWBOURNE CRAZY with these dogs losing all chances.
Race 8	SGRC EGG HUNT STAKES - C1/2 - 457	LOCHINVAR CAMARO (C.Roberts) weighed in 2.2kg under his last race start weight on 15th April. The veterinarian checked the dog at kennelling and found no significant abnormalities that would prevent the dog starting. In the race LOCHINVAR CAMAR stood high in the boxes and jumped slowly. On the turn OPAWA LEAN MEAT shifted ground inwards and struck STARBURST BENNY with OPAWA BART forced outwards and dictating WUNZEE and BUSINESS PLAN wide.
Race 9	EASTER BUNNY STAKES - C4/5 - 457	OPAWA STYLE was a reserve dog who gained entry to the field and was not presented. After consideration of submissions for non attendance by the trainers Stewards acting under Rule 64.6 withdrew the dog without penalty. Following the race the handler of GORDON BALE referred the dog to the veterinarian for assessment. A moderate graze on the head was cleaned with saline and no stand down was required.
Race 10	Les McLeod Memorial Final - R/Af - 457	CAWBOURNE WAR was very low in the boxes and scrambled out losing ground. HIS LORDSHIP was also slow to jump. On the turn WHAT I LIKE checked outwards off the heels of WICKED SPELL and forced CAWBOURNE WAR wide.
Race 11	Bruce Stirling Memorial Stayers Run Final - SPECAdf - 630	No racing incidents to report.
Race 12	JUSTRACING.COM.AU - C4 - 390	YALDHURST EDWARD was slow to jump. On the turn FANTASTIC FOUR shifted ground outwards and bumped BELLWAVE who was struck from behind by EMILY PATRICK, with that dog turned sideways and forced out wide losing all chance. EMILY PATRICK and BELLWAVE were referred to the veterinarian for assessment. No injury was detected with BELLWAVE but EMILY PATRICK had slight pain in the left triceps muscle.
