Race 2 | Morrie Gibbons Signs C0 - C0 - 305 | WORKING TWINKLE began awkwardly losing several lengths and she tailed the field by a distance and finished several lengths last. SERVE YA PURPOSE was also slow to begin but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. HOMEBUSH MAGIC became awkwardly positioned in restricted room going into the bend and lost two lengths. |
Race 3 | J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 520 | STRING THEORY and CEE ACH GEE were slow to begin and settled back. CEE ACH GEE then shifted in going into the first turn and checked STRING THEORY which lost ground and he stayed back to finish several lengths last. ICAHN raced wide throughout covering considerable extra ground but still finished in 5th place. |
Race 4 | Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C0 - C0 - 305 | TASHA RAMA began awkwardly losing ground and she settled at the rear and stayed there throughout.. WORKING POPPY shifted out to avoid COOL GYPSY going into the bend and checked TASHA RAMA which was also pushed wide. |
Race 5 | Harrison Hire Master C0 Final - C0f - 520 | DARK FAERYTALES shifted in from the start and hampered BLU DESIRE and BEHEMOTH. DARK FAERYTALES shifted out going into the first corner and forced RUTH'S RAIDER very wide into the bend. DARK FAERYTALES then drifted quickly off the back of the field and pulled up entering the home straight when a distance behind the other runners. DARK FAERYTALES was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have tricep pain. |
Race 6 | Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 | ASIA OSTI shifted in soon after the start and crowded CALM RITA and TENKAY DOWN and they checked and went back to the rear and they stayed back for the remainder of the race. |
Race 7 | www.racingdogs.co.nz C1 - C1 - 305 | WILD AS ANGELS checked off the heels of WALDO BAXTER going into the bend and went back onto GOMAN NINNIE which also lost ground. GOODTIME KATE which was outside these runners was also checked and forced wide. |
Race 8 | Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 520 | FREEDOM FLYER shifted in going to the first corner and checked BELLDEEN which lost three lengths. GUCCI RUSH shifted in going into the final bend and checked BELLDEEN which lost several lengths and she finished in last place. |
Race 9 | The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305 | HOMEBUSH ENVY shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to WORKING MIDNIGHT and REBEL JOE and they went back to the rear and never recovered the lost ground. |
Race 10 | Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520 | FIGLIA shifted out from the start and checked TAIKOREA LASS which lost ground and settled back. FIGLIA continued to shift out going to the first corner and checked ALAMEIN KAT which blundered and went back to the rear. A short distance further on as they raced into the first corner, WHITE LEGS, ALAMEIN KAT and TAIKOREA LASS came together and jostled losing several lengths and they stayed back for the remainder of the race. |
Race 11 | Wanganui Chronicle C1 - C1 - 305 | BLACK MAGIC ROCK, CALAMITY SUE and BOOMERANG MAN jostled together for a short distance soon after the start and OPAWA CRUSHER and HOEMEBUSH CRUDEN also came together for a couple of strides at the start. CALAMITY SUE was tightened between OPAWA CRUSHER and HOMEBUSH CRUDEN going into the bend and lost two lengths. BLACK MAGIC ROCK shifted in on the bend and checked BOOMERANG MAN which lost ground. |
Race 12 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305 | The eventual winner DEATHSTAR shifted in when leading into the bend and this resulted in a check to COSMIC CHOICE which checked over heels and ran a little wide into the bend. |
Race 13 | Tiered Sprint C1 - Tier 2 - 305 | PENO BOY shifted out going to the first corner and hampered OPEHU FLYER for a short distance. APPLAUSE and POLAR SNOW WHITE raced wide on the bend over extra ground and finished at the rear. JOHNNY ANGEL also ran wide into the straight but finished well for 3rd place. |
Race 14 | Tiered Sprint C1 - Tier 2 - 305 | DASHER RUM began a little awkwardly and lost a length. TOBY'S TERRA shifted in going into the bend and checked MONKEY QUEEN and DASHER RUM which both lost ground. TOXIC REVENGE and HERMIONE BAXTER bumped together going into the bend and HERMIONE BAXTER lost four lengths. |
