Track: Dead The track had recovered well after being in such a heavy state on Tuesday and although still containing a great deal of moisture provided a safe surface with some slick times being recorded.

Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainer J Dunn was fined $50.00 as per the Minor Infringements Table after admitting to not presenting ANGELIC STAR by the prescribed time. Trainers R Casey and A Bradshaw contacted Stewards to report that they had been held up in traffic jams and would be late for the first kennelling. Trainers J&D Fahey were warned in relation to the non-presentation of a set of papers.

Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C4 - 295	WANDY LUCK (7) crossed quickly to the inside in the early stages checking RAMBUNCTIOUS (6) and NOBLE FANTASY (2) and forcing CAWBOURNE DASHER (4) to the rail. CAMPAIGNER (1) and ANOTHER COLT (3) were both tightened and lost ground into the bend as RAMBUNCTIOUS angled inwards.
Race 2	Ritchies Coachlines Dash - C5 - 295	GO HOUSIE (2), KNOW ESCAPE (4) and PEARL'S BOY (5) were the last trio at the jump. DAMARJO (1) ran outwards checking GO HOUSIE in the early stages. SOZIN'S COMET (8) ran inwards wider out checking SOPHIE'S TERRA (7) for a stride. Into the bend DAMARJO checked outwards off runners colliding with SOPHIE'S TERRA with this pair both falling and pushing LIFE'S A LAUGH (3) wider on the track. Closer to the lead CAWBOURNE JELLY (6) checked off the heels of the pacemaking SOZIN'S COMET and lost ground. The fallers were both referred to the vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C4 - 295	WANDY GRANT (4) and KNOW CHARITY (5) were the last pair on settling. Into the bend ANOTHER JEWEL (7) ran inwards as EXPLODABLE (1) angled outwards with OPAWA RUFUS (2) and WANDY GRANT both being badly tightened and dropping to the rear.
Race 4	Islington Tavern Dash - C5 - 295	HUSTLER AMBITION (6) lacked early pace and settled at the rear. Into the bend ADROIT (1) checked off the heels of MR. WHIPPY (2) and lost a length with HOMEBUSH EDITH (3) being inconvenienced and losing ground in behind. In the home straight ADROIT was checked and ran outwards hampering RUSTY KNIFE (9) for a couple of strides. ADROIT was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 5	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C3 - 520	CRINITI'S (5) was awkwardly away and settled last. TAKE A TRICK (2), NOM DE PLUME (9) and WAIMAK DAVE (4) were all tightened and lost ground in the run to the first bend. CRINITI'S was checked when attempting to improve between runners into the first bend and ran outwards pushing TAKE A TRICK and WAIMAK DAVE wider on the track. NOM DE PLUME ran inwards on the first bend checking OPAWA BOMB (1) with this pair losing ground and causing WAIMAK DAVE to be held up for room. When questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner OPAWA STYLE (6), co-trainer R Wales stated that the dog had been recently downgraded and had been checked in its last two starts.
Race 6	C.T.V. Sprint - C5 - 295	ANGELIC STAR (7) was last to settle. PICK THE TIP (6) ran inwards into the bend tightening ZEBIDIAH (5) and QUEDRAGO (4). TAKE NO PRISONER (2) ran outwards soon after pushing ANGELIC STAR wider on the track with CAWBOURNE TOMCAT (3) held up for clear racing room in behind this pair. TAKE NO PRISONER was forced wide on the home turn when improving.
Race 7	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - R/A - 520	HARPER ROSE (9) shifted outwards marginally on jumping and came together with kennelmate OPAWA ZARA (8) with HARPER ROSE settling last. DEANNE'S FANTASY (2) was checked and shifted outwards into the first bend with a number of runners being checked as a result the worst affected being PUNCH ON JAIME (6), HARPER ROSE and OPAWA ZARA. OPAWA STRETCH (1) and DEANNE'S FANTASY jostled for some distance in the back straight losing ground.
Race 8	Garrard's Horse & Hound Stakes - C4 - 520	CAWBOURNE MERC (6) was last to jump. NOT A KNOW (7) was held up between runners in the back straight. CAWBOURNE MERC checked outwards off the pacemaking LAUDABLE (5) on the home turn and forced an improving NOT A KNOW wider on the track.
Race 9	Last Rites Of Colin Paintin Dash - C5 - 295	BIT PICCADILLY (2) and KNOW JEALOUSY (3) were the last pair on jumping.
Race 10	I Pave Concrete Distance Feature - C1d - 645	OPAWA RAPID (2) was a shade slow from the traps but recovered quickly. BOTANY COMET (3) was tightened in the early stages dropping to the rear. OPAWA BRO (9) was obliged to race wide in the early part of the race. OPAWA RAPID stopped quickly over the last few metres and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were detected.
Race 11	Little Brown Jug Stakes - C5 - 520	HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (1) and TRAVELLING JOE (8) were the last pair to jump. CAWBOURNE PHILIP (4) was tightened into the first bend and lost ground with OPAWA WEBBY (7), TRAVELLING JOE and OPAWA SWEDE (6) all being inconvenienced in behind and losing ground. TRAVELLING JOE lost ground at the end of the back straight after being tightened by OPAWA WEBBY. OPAWA SWEDE was injured at the lure with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	This race was delayed by one minute due to the Forbury Park false start. KNOW LIES (3) was a touch slow to jump. KNOW PRIDE (6) was checked in the early stages as YALDHURST EDWARD (7) ran inwards and made solid contact with KNOW PRIDE dropping to the rear. BUTTERBEAN (5) was also inconvenienced in this incident. BUTTERBEAN, YALDHURST EDWARD and HOMEBUSH CRAIG (2) were all tightened on the bend and lost ground.
