Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295	OHOKA HART (5) ran inwards checking RUN FOR SOPHIE (4) in the early stages with RUN FOR SOPHIE then angling wide on the track. SOSAN (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground with ANOTHER JEWEL (3) being inconvenienced in behind.
Race 2	C.T.V. Sprint - C4 - 295	YALDHURST EDWARD (3) was last to jump. KNOW CHARITY (1) shifted up the track in the back straight checking RAMBUNCTIOUS (9) and MER DE NOMS (5). MER DE NOMS then ran inwards tightening YALDHURST EDWARD and SWIP AND TEAR (2) who were attempting to improve to the inside. KNOW PRIDE (7) received a bump into the bend as her sister KNOW CHARITY continued her outwards movement.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Dash - C3 - 295	BLUE GALE RISE (2) and CAWBOURNE CHIEF (7) were the last pair on jumping. GEORGIE WONG (5) was tightened and dropped to the rear in the back straight. BOTANY JESSIE (3) checked outwards off the back of MY FOOLISH HEART (8) on the bend with a resultant check to PRIMITIVE (1) who lost ground.
Race 4	Robbie's Bar & Bistro Stakes - C3 - 520	OPAWA BOMB (4) and JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (8) were the last on settling. Into the first bend the favourite OPAWA ZARA (3) shifted outwards marginally pushing BOTANY SEATON (5) wider on the track. OPAWA ZARA was then checked into the back straight when racing to the outside of OPAWA STYLE (1) with OPAWA ZARA losing ground. OPAWA ZARA was unable to recover from this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing no abnormalities.
Race 5	Garden City Chem-Dry Dash - C5 - 295	DRYSDALE (2) was last to jump. CAWBOURNE PORSHE (5) ran inwards at the jump brushing with TAKE NO PRISONER (4) for a stride losing initial momentum. DRYSDALE then ran outwards pushing TAKE NO PRISONER and CAWBOURNE PORSHE up the track. TAKE NO PRISONER ran very wide on the home turn when well back.
Race 6	racingdogs.co.nz stakes - C4 - 520	CAWBOURNE MERC (1) was last to jump. GEE CEE BEE (5) angled outwards into the first bend pushing GOLDSTAR BELLE (7) wider on the track. GOLDSTAR BELLA dropped out to a clear last in the back straight with this bitch being referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 7	Shirley Vet Clinic Sprint - C5 - 295	CAWBOURNE QUEEN (4) was tightened and dropped to the rear in the early stages. Into the bend MORE BETTER (3) ran inwards checking CAWBOURNE QUEEN and making solid contact with the rail. MORE BETTER then dropped to the rear and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were detected.
Race 8	Hampden Tavern N.Z. Racing Series Final - NZRSf - 520	OPAWA SWEDE (2), KNOW ATTEMPT (3) and JINJARANGO (8) were the last trio on jumping. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (7) attempted to cross to the rail in the run to the bend but was held out by STOLEN MONEY (4) and HARLEM HAKA (1). HOMEBUSH CHOPPER was then badly checked from behind by BOTANY KEVIN (6) with both dogs dropping to the rear. KNOW ATTEMPT was forced wide around these runners. HARLEM HAKA angled outwards at the end of the back straight causing an improving STOLEN MONEY to be held up for room for some distance. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER was referred to the vet for assessment and found to be free of injury.
Race 9	David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C5 - 295	STING ME (5) ran inwards in the back straight tightening WANDY BOILER (4) and DEANNE'S MAGIC (3) who lost ground. STING ME then received a slight check as KNOW JEALOUSY (6) crossed inwards.
Race 10	Kolorful Kanvas Stakes - C5 - 520	RUSSELL HART (6) was crossed and ran outwards in the early stages. CAWBOURNE WAR (7) ran inwards soon after as NOT A KNOW (3) angled outwards with RAW ENERGY (4) and CRACKING CHAIN (5) being tightened as a result and RAW ENERGY dropping to a clear last. Into the bend NOT A KNOW was checked and dropped to the rear. NOT A KNOW checked off the heels of runners on the final bend losing momentum. RAW ENERGY faltered in the back straight and finished a distant last with this dog being referred to the vet for assessment. This revealed some hock soreness with a 14 day stand down being imposed. In view of this stand down and after consultation with kennel representative Jonathan McInerney it was agreed that this dog trial to the satisfaction of Stewards. Mr McInerney added that the condition of RAW ENERGY would be reassessed when the dog had properly cooled down at home and was advised that if the injury is more serious than first diagnosed he should be brought back for a further examination.
Race 11	Carol's T.A.B. Dash - C5 - 295	WANDY GENO (7) was a clear last on jumping with KNOW ESCAPE (1) also lacking early pace. DIXIE LEE (3) was tightened into the bend and ran outwards checking RUSTY KNIFE (2), PEARL'S BOY (8) and HOMEBUSH MAYHEM (5) with these runners all losing ground.
Race 12	Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295	BOTANY PRANCER (3) and OPAWA RUFUS (7) were the last pair on settling. ADROIT (5) shifted up the track in the back straight colliding with CAWBOURNE BURN (8) for a stride with CAWBOURNE BURN becoming unbalanced as a result. BLONDE TORI (4) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. Trainer I Kaye applied for and was granted permission to box HOMEBUSH CRAIG (6) with the field in future races due to an improvement in the dog's box manners.
