Track: Good The track was presented well for racing with all equipment functioning throughout the meeting.
Scales: Correct at all weights.
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: GIRLY DREAMZ (Race 5) was a late scratching on Veterinary advice after being found to be in-season when brought out for pre race preparation.

Race 1	AWAPUNI STAKES C1 - C0 - 457	ICAHN jumped away awkwardly however recovered quickly to be in the main body of the field approaching the bend. SNIFF OF BRANDY was buffeted leaving the boxes between CARTER CASH which shifted out and TROJAN TROY. SNIFF OF BRANDY was then obliged to make its run wide throughout. CARTER CASH shifted out off the heels of TROJAN TROY rounding the bend forcing FILLING THE VOID, THRILLING DYLAN and SNIFF OF BRANDY over extra ground. CARTER CASH then attempted to improve into a gap between ICAHN and FILLING THE VOID and was crowded losing momentum.
Race 2	WOODVILLE DASH C1 - C1 - 375	Into the bend, MR.REECE became awkwardly placed on the heels of SOME GENES and shifted out forcing EXCESSIVE SPEED and TIME FOR WHAT wider. MR.REECE was referred the Veterinarian for assessment and was cleared of injury.
Race 3	J P PRINT(PETONE) C1 - C1 - 375	DASHER RUM knuckled leaving the boxes losing ground however recovered quickly. DASHER RUM was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and was cleared of injury. KOTUMBA shifted in after the start contacting the heels of NOT BAD which became briefly unbalanced. NOT BAD shortly after improved up onto the heels of LAVENDER SAL which lost its footing behind and lost ground.
Race 4	MANAWATU RACEWAY C1 - C1 - 457	GIRLY DREAMZ was a late scratching at the kennels after being found to be in-season when brought out for pre-race preparation. HEAR HARE HERE was slow into stride however after making its run wide rounding the bend, finished the race off well. ZAMADDIS LASS angled out off the heels of SARAH CAMPBELL rounding the bend forcing CAESAR QUEEN wider.
Race 5	PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOFINISH C2 - C2 - 375	DOGGED DAN shifted in abruptly from the boxes severely crowding FANTA'S FEVER in onto TEN ELEVEN with FIRE BOY BAXTER being turned outward after its hindquarters were contacted. TEN ELEVEN, FANTA'S FEVER and DOGGED DAN lost ground several lengths in the incident and were unable to recover from there on.
Race 6	MARTON SPRINT C3 - C3 - 375	HOMEBUSH ALEX was checked rounding the bend when several runners from the outside angled inwards. HOMEBUSH ALEX lost several lengths as a result and was unable to recover. KWASANT raced in restricted room and briefly checked rounding the bend when positioned adjacent to the running line.
Race 7	WWW.RACINGDOGS.CO.NZ C4 - C4 - 375	COSMIC FURY and ERUZA buffeted for several strides rounding the bend when COSMIC FURY attempted to improve and angle in toward the running line. CRYSTAL WAVE ran wide entering the home straight with UNO ORANGE shifting in across the heels of CRYSTAL WAVE.
Race 8	ASHURST STAKES C5 - C5 - 457	WAY TOO CRUDE and TEPIRITA RITA began only fairly. SUPERIOR IZMIR was briefly crowded between OSTAPCHUK and BIGTIME DASHER which both shifted ground. SUPERIOR IZMIR angled in over the initial stages of the home straight checking TIFINO and WAY TOO CRUDE with both runners losing momentum and effectively all chance in the race.
Race 9	CLOVERLEA DASH C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	BLUE and CURLY weighed in 3.4 kilograms heavier than it's last start weight on 17th January 2014. Kennel representative B.Cole advised that this increase was intentional and was happy with the dog's preparation leading into today's race. CHARMING NEV which began only fairly, was obliged to make it's run wider throughout.
Race 10	SHANNON DASH C4/5 - C4/5 - 375	ENHANCER was the slowest away from the boxes, settling toward the rear. STELLAR FORCE was crowded rounding the bend between WINNING KNOCKA and ATTIRE which shifted out. STELLAR FORCE lost ground in the incident settling toward the rear of the field.
Race 11	FEILDING STAKES C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	BIGTIME JET angled in shortly after jumping away crowding FLYING MOE which then checked off the heels of BIGTIME JET and lost ground. WALLACE LAD angled out rounding the bend bumping with OPAWA TOKEN which lost its footing for tow strides and lost ground.
Race 12	FOXTON STAKES C3 - C3 - 457	TEN POINT ONE angled in shortly after jumping away contacting the hindquarters of JONESY'S FORTUNE. TINA'S DILEMA was checked along the back straight when JONESY'S FORTUNE angled into the first bend. TINA'S DILEMA was then further hampered being forced wider when BACKYARD BULLY shifted out. KAY ROAD angled out making contact with the hindquarters of TEN POINT ONE which became severely unbalanced. TEN POINT ONE was then dragged down from behind when KAY ROAD improved up onto the back of TEN POINT ONE which as a result lost momentum and ground. TEN POINT ONE was referred to the Veterinarian for assessment and was cleared of injury.
