Race 1 | Sel's TAB Mangere Series Final - C2f - 318 | ROTOVEGAS RARA (8) ran inwards when reaching the lead in the back straight causing tightening to DEB BALE (6), CREME DA GENES (5), OPAWA JOHNNY (4) and LACHLAN'S DEVIL (3). Into the bend DEB BALE angled inwards with OPAWA JOHNNY, FAMILY'S PRIDE (2) and TIME TO FIND (1) all being inconvenienced. At the lure OPAWA JOHNNY leapt the field and then fell and was trampled by a number of runners with this dog being sent to the vet for assessment. |
Race 2 | Trophies Plus Stakes - C0 - 527 | NIKE GODDESS (3), BELLA FORZA (5) and MYSTIK NITE (7) were the last trio on settling. BELLA FORZA checked outwards off the heels of MYSTIK NITE on the first turn with this pair dropping to the rear. PERCENTAGE GIRL (1) was inclined to shift up the track early in the home straight pushing JOKER MAN (6) over extra ground. |
Race 3 | www.agrc.co.nz Sprint - C0 - 318 | STILL DON'T KNOW (6) was last from the traps with PINETREE BLUE (5) and RUBY TWO BEE (4) coming together and settling well back. PRANCING BEE (1) angled outwards into the bend keeping WESTERLY WIND (7) wide on the track. WORTH A CRACK (8) was badly tightened when improving into a marginal gap on the turn and lost momentum. On the home turn MISS RAZZ (3) was checked as RUBY TWO BEE improved sharply to her inside. MISS RAZZ was shunted sideways at this point causing another check to WORTH A CRACK with STILL DON'T KNOW being forced wider on the track. |
Race 4 | Greyhound Function Centre Sprint - C4 - 318 | CRIXUS (9) was last to leave the traps from the inside. SENORITA CHANG (2) was tightened in the early stages and dropped to the rear. Into the bend UP THERE HERBIE (3) ran outwards after checking off the hindquarters of WHERE'S CARLOS (5) pushing HOLLAND BADGER (4) wider on the track. |
Race 5 | The Brownzy Sports Bar Sprint - C1 - 318 | Considerable tightening into the bend caused mainly by ASIA OSTEE (7) running inwards resulted in EXCITING DREAM (1), OUR JACK ATTACK (2), KIM DOTCOM (3) and PHENOMENAL LILY (4) all losing ground and their winning chances. Co trainer N O'Regan was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner ACTING UP (8). She stated that the dog had only been in their kennel a short time but had always shown ability and a downgrade today together with the dog drawn 7 cutting hard left were factors. |
Race 6 | Deli's Sports Bar Clendon Inn Stakes - C1 - 527 | PIRATE LORE (8) was last to jump. IKE JONES (4) was tightened and lost ground in the early stages when racing between PEARL TIARA (3) and CRAZY A GOGO (5). ALAMEIN GUS (2) and PIRATE LORE collided on the first bend when racing at the rear. PEARL TIARA received a check racing out of the back straight and lost momentum. |
Race 7 | MTA Gift Vouchers Series Final - C1f - 318 | LUCKY LUCKY LUCK (6) was last into stride. The favourite DON'T TALK (8) spent the entire back straight attempting to get to the rail and succeeded in causing tightening to TAYLA HART (7), VERY CHILLY (5) and KITTY'S HOUSE (4) who all lost ground. DON'T TALK was then badly dragged down from behind and lost his chance. A post race veterinary check of DON'T TALK revealed no injury. |
Race 8 | $20,000 Pick6 Stakes - C1/2 - 527 | CAWBOURNE PENNY (9) and THRILLING REBEL (6) were the last pair on dispatch. HELL FIRE (7) was obliged to race wide around the first bend. At the end of the back straight CAWBOURNE PENNY checked off the back of ONLY KATE (3) and lost a length with SOUTH BAY DREAM (2) being inconvenienced in behind. On the home turn ONLY KATE was checked when improving along the rail in restricted room to the inside of BELRANI (8) and lost ground with the trailing CAWBOURNE PENNY and SOUTH BAY DREAM again receiving checks. |
Race 9 | Auckland Classic Final - R/Af - 527 | CALM NUSKA (8) was last to jump. KWASANT (2) checked outwards off the back of SASSY ROAD (1) into the first bend and pushed ZIPPING WILL (6) and CALM NUSKA wider on the track with CALM NUSKA stumbling for a stride and settling a clear last. BLITZING MAYHEM (4) lost momentum in the back straight when contacting the hindquarters of WHAT'S UP GEE (7). On the home turn BLITZING MAYHEM ran inwards and checked KWASANT for a stride. |
Race 10 | Carol's TABs Stakes - C3/4 - 527 | OSTI'S PURSUIT (8) was last to jump. JOHNNY RITZA (4) checked outwards off the pacemaking BUBLIN GOLD (7) into the first bend. |
Race 11 | Plaster Board Ltd Stakes - C5 - 527 | CHECK THE MAIL (4) received a check when racing to the outside of AUNTY MERL (3) in the early stages as a result of SASHA'S ONE running inwards and dictating the line of JUST JORDANA (6) and KIWI GIRL (5) down the track. KIWI GIRL ducked outwards in the home straight checking SASHA'S ONE (7) with both bitches losing ground. AUNTY MERL was referred to the vet for assessment. |
Race 12 | Reel-Fishin.com Sprint - C4/5 - 318 | RUN STACEY RUN (1) angled outwards in the back straight tightening BOSS APPEAL (3) who dropped to the rear and also coming together with WHEEZY APPEAL (4). Into the bend DOWN THE BACK (2) checked off the back of the pacemaking ROTOVEGAS BOSS (5) and ran outwards severely checking LORD WILL (6), LADAKH (7) and SECTIONED (8) who all lost their winning chances. |
Race 13 | Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C2/3 - 318 | The handler of ROCKIN' ROD (5) was given permission to wear a club vest due to a medical condition. HOT KING COLE (6) came up with the lids and lost a length. In a tightly compacted bunch firstly THIS IS SWIP (7) and then TAYLA ROSE (3) and HOT KING COLE received checks and lost ground. On the home turn TAYLA ROSE angled outwards checking MISS JOLT (2) for a stride. |
Race 14 | Non Tote C1 Sprint - Tier 2 - 318 | FIERY CONQUEST (2) was extremely hard to box in this even and will be boxed first in her immediate engagements. BUBBLE OSTEE (5) was pushed wide in the back straight losing ground. KNOCK KNOCK LADY (6) and KNOCKA SLOY (7) both ran wide on the home turn. |
