Judicial report: LAUDABLE (Race 5), CHARLIE'S CHOICE (Race 8), GAME GIRL (Race 9), KAREN'S MAGIC (Race 10) and MR JIMMY (Race 11) were all withdrawn from the meeting when the trainer, Mr R.Adcock, reported prior to the start of the meeting engine problems and then a breakdown on the road between Clinton and Mataura. Stewards accepted the exceptional circumstances and agreed to scratch the dogs without penalty under Rule 64.6.

Race 1	CENTRAL WATER CARRIERS - C0 - 390	HOMEBUSH TIARE was very slow to jump and lost several lengths. Shortly after the jump HOMEBUSH KELOS and SMASH MAGIC bumped and CELTIC HOUND was also momentarily unbalanced. NOT SO CUTE crossed and clipped the rear of HOMEBUSH RADAR who went backwards. On the bend NOT SO CUTE shifted ground outwards and checked SMASH MAGIC which lost his chances. Into the home straight an improving ARCHIE BEAR briefly checked off the rear of CHOKEHOLD and lost momentum.
Race 2	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	From the jump and shortly after BIGTIME TIP and FLIP FLIPPA came together and lost momentum. In the run to the turn HILL OF GRACE clipped the rear of OCHE who lost momentum and was then struck from behind by CAMRAY and lost all chances. Into the turn CAMRAY shifted ground outwards and made contact with CAWBOURNE FLOYD who went wide and forced FLIP FLIPPA wider on the track.
Race 3	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1 - 390	CHARLES FREDERICK jumped awkwardly and lost several lengths. Into the turn CAWBOURNE IMPACT shifted ground outwards checking STARBURST HANNAH. On the turn CAWBOURNE IMPACT continued to run wide losing ground.
Race 4	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 457	GRUNT RODGERS and TOTALLY TOASTED were both slow to begin. Racing into the bend FANCY KIWI and OPAWA LAZ made contact, with FANCY KIWI forced to race wider on the track. On the bend CAWBOURNE CLOCK was crossed over by GRUNT RODGERS and clipped heels. Simultaneously ZEE BRUGGE made heavy contact with CAWBOURNE CLOCK resulting in CAWBOURNE CLOCK falling. CAWBOURNE CLOCK was examined by the veterinarian with no abnormalities found.
Race 5	SGRC $50 LEATHER LEAD STAKES - C2/3 - 457	From the jump JOHN DORY ran inwards and checked CELESTRIAL MAGIC. From the jump BOB'S EYE shifted ground outwards and checked HOMEBUSH IRIS. Into the turn JOHN DORY crossed and checked BOB'S EYE. On the turn CELESTRIAL MAGIC ran wide and lost ground.
Race 6	GREYHOUNDSASPETS.ORG.NZ - C2 - 390	SHEEZA FLOWER jumped awkwardly and lost momentum. From the jump JOEY'S SECRET shifted ground inwards and checked ROCKY BAXTER who was slow to jump. In the run to the turn SHEEZA FLOWER when leading was unbalanced when struck from behind by SAM'S FLYIN NORM and then went backwards and was clipped from behind by the trailing HEZA SENSATION. After the race SHEEZA FLOWER was referred to the veterinarian for assessment with no injury detected.
Race 7	ADDED ENERGY STAKES - C2/3 - 390	SMASH AMEGO was slow to jump and lost several lengths. From the jump PRIMITIVE ran outwards checking EMBEE DEE, BOTANY PETE and BAD WEEK. Into the turn BOTANY PETE crossed and checked BUSINESS PLAN who was forced wide on the track.
Race 8	Advanced Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 1	In the run to the turn WHAT I LIKE was tightened with RODRIGUEZ and OPAWA WEBBY and lost ground. OPAWA JED ran wide on the turn.
Race 9	Advanced Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 2	Into the turn SPEEDY KAZZA checked outwards off OPAWA SWEDE and forced OPAWA NO EAR wide on the track.
Race 10	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz maiden distance - C0d - 630	CLARETOWN LEROY was slow to begin. OPAWA BRO raced wide rounding the first bend.
Race 11	Advanced Racing Series Heats - NZRSq - 457 Heat 3	While leadingTHRILLING MARTY ran wide rounding the bend.
Race 12	justracing.com.au - C5 - 390	OSCAR TUIVASA was slow to begin. Racing into the bend SOME SAY, DRYSDALE and BELLWAVE all made contact with all runners losing considerable ground.
