CELTIC HOUND (3) angled outwards into the bend checking CHOKEHOLD (7) who lost ground with BO'S BUSINESS (8) being forced wider on the track in this incident. HAMMOCK (6) and BUTTERFLY MORN both ran wide around the home turn losing ground. |

INKA SUPREME (5) was slow to begin with NOT SO CUTE (7) and ARCHIE BEAR (8) also settling well back. OZARKS DAUGHTER (4) ran outwards in the early stages tightening ADMIRAL ADAM (6) and NOT SO CUTE. ADMIRAL ADAM was checked into the bend and lost ground. NOT SO CUTE was checked when improving on the home turn losing momentum. OZARKS DAUGHTER ran wide on the home turn. |

CAWBOURNE FLOYD checked off the back of OPAWA HOG on the bend and lost momentum. LINCOLN FLYER (2) ran wide on the home turn losing ground. |

| Race 5 | HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEAN ANDERSON - C1 - 390 | ZULU BRO (2) was last to jump. TANTO'S WHISPER (3) angled outwards in the early stages checking BOWMAN (4) who lost ground. Into the bend TANTO'S WHISPER was tightened and lost ground. BOWMAN got on the heels of NEW INGILLTAB (8) on the turn with both runners losing ground. CAWBOURNE ONYX (7) ran wide on the home turn losing her handy position. |
| Race 6 | WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C1/2 - 390 | CAWBOURNE MERC (4) and SHEEZA FLOWER (8) were the last pair on jumping. SHEEZA FLOWER ran very wide on the home turn losing ground. SMASH AMY (7) angled inwards into the bend brushing with LA FONTAINE (6) and keeping CAWBOURNE MERC wide on the track. Trainer D Stapleton was questioned in regards to the improved performance of the winner PRIMITIVE (5). He advised that the bitch has just come back from a season and was in a fresh state. He added that she had been working well and a big run had been expected from the kennel. |
| Race 7 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3 - 390 | YALDHURST EDWARD (6) was a clear last on jumping with STARBURST BENNY (7) also settling well back. BAD WEEK (2) and WANDY FEATHER (1) were both tightened into the bend losing ground. |
| Race 8 | BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL - C1/2 - 457 | COVER TO COVER (7) and ROCKY BAXTER (8) were the last pair from the traps. CARAT'S PRINCE (1) and FANCY KIWI (2) bumped for a stride in the early stages. CARAT'S PRINCE checked off the back of OPAWA ZARA (3) into the bend with both runners losing ground. FANCY KIWI also lost momentum angling wide at this stage causing COVER TO COVER to be checked and drop to the rear. CARAT'S PRINCE ran outwards on the home turn pushing FANCY KIWI wider on the track. |

OPAWA ALBIE (8) and WUNZEE came together for a stride into the bend when racing towards the rear. |
