Track: Good The track was well presented but in the very warm conditions, the Curator became concerned that it may have been firming up and so he carried out some remedial work midway through the programme and the meeting proceeded smoothly from there.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	GO RUSSEL GO began awkwardly and settled back and he then raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	MADDIE BRAND and IZA HUNGI bumped together when the start was made and they settled back and stayed there throughout the race. LITTLE PROPHET and VINNIE BAXTER bumped together for a short distance near the home turn and they both became unbalanced and lost ground.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C0 - C0 - 305	KICKIN'IT shifted in going into the bend and was galloped on from behind by GOMAN NINNIE and fell. GOMAN NINNIE and GOODTIME HELEN were also hampered in the incident and lost ground. KICKIN'IT was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 4	Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 520	KWASANT was very slow to begin losing several lengths but made up ground well to finish in 4th place. SPEEDY FEET was placed in restricted room between FIGLIA and BILLY HOLMES going into the first bend and she lost two lengths. FIGLIA checked off the back of BILLY HOLMES going into the back straight losing several lengths and stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 5	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	SHINY UPSOME shifted out soon after the start and hampered SMIRNOFF and PREFONTAINE for a short distance. SHINY UPSOME was severely checked losing several lengths going into the bend when awkwardly placed between runners. FLAYOSC which was following was also checked and lost ground.
Race 6	Mickey's Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	MY LIL LUCIFER, THRILLING AVA, JOHNNY RITZA and MONKEY QUEEN jostled together when the start was made and lost a little ground. MADAM ICE, SUE SEWS SOCKS and DISTASTEFUL bumped together going into the first corner and lost momentum for a couple of strides. JOHNNY RITZAwas blocked for a run inside MY LIL LUCIFER entering the final bend and shifted out over her heels and went on for a comfortable win.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	BACKYARD QUEEN and HOMEBUSH VERONA bumped together when the start was made and settled back. CALAMITY SUE led into the bend but was galloped on from behind by REBEL CITY and they both lost several lengths and never recovered. BACKYARD QUEEN checked off the back of HOMEBUSH VERONA and lost ground on the bend.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 9	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	ASCHENPUTTEL and BILLY BRAND jostled together for some distance going into and rounding the bend and they both lost ground as a result. SHEZA FOOLING which was racing to their inside, was checked entering the bend and lost several lengths but ran on well to finish in 3rd place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C2 - C2 - 520	BOTANY DAVE and ANOTHER COURSE were slow to begin and settled back. BOTANNY DAVE made up ground well through the race to win.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA GIFT was slow to begin and settled back. REBEL JOE shifted in soon after the start and checked ODE TO LIBERTY which lost two lengths. BLACK MERCEDES shifted in going into the bend onto the line of TENKAY DOWN which lost three lengths at that point. TENKAY DOWN checked off the heels of BIT COIN and lost ground on the bend but finished the race off well for 4th placing.
Race 12	Christmas @ The Races C2 - C2 - 305	BIGTIME CHIP, KIRIBATI GIRL and JUMPIN SALLY jostled together soon after the start and KIRIBATI GIRL and JUMPIN SALLY suffered the most and they settled back.
