| Race 2 | Woodville Sprint C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 375 Heat 1 | COSMIC SALLY was slow to begin losing two lengths. SHEZA FOOLING was also a little slow away and then raced wide on the bend and finished towards the rear. DAISY'S BOI and COSMIC SALLY bumped together in the home straight and they both lost momentum for a couple of strides. |
| Race 3 | J P Print, Petone C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 375 Heat 2 | DOLL PARTS shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to MONKEY QUEEN, HOMEBUSH VERONA and MORNING LIGHT and they went back to the rear. A short distance further on, MONKEY QUEEN galloped on the back of MORNING LIGHT and they both lost further ground and stayed back to finish at the rear. |
| Race 4 | Manawatu Raceway C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 375 Heat 3 | TOBY'S TERRA and SUNDAY DRIVER were slow to begin losing two lengths. SUNDAY DRIVER recovered well to make up ground for 3rd placing. |
| Race 5 | Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C1 - C1 - 457 | GOODTIME KATE and SARAH CAMPBELL came together and bumped going to the first corner and a short distance further on, they bumped together again, became unbalanced and lost four lengths and they tailed the field from there to the finish. |
| Race 6 | Marton Dash C2 - C2 - 375 | ADDICTED, HOMEBUSH CRUDEN and COOL HEIR were slow to begin and settled back. ADDICTED and COOL HEIR recovered well to finish in 1st and 3rd places. COOL HEIR was bumped and forced to race wide going into the bend. |
| Race 7 | Red Snapper Seafoods Christchurch C2 - C2 - 457 | PADDY BAXTER galloped on the heels of TEN POINT ONE which checked losing several lengths. Soon after DECEIVER checked off the back of PADDY BAXTER, went off stride and quickly drifted out to finish a long last. DECEIVER was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have strained a hock and torn ligaments. |
| Race 8 | Ashhurst Dash C3 - C3 - 375 | BOTANY DAVE shifted in going into the bend and tightened ENHANCER and ROCKIN' ROD and they lost three lengths and all chsnce. |
| Race 9 | Cloverlea Stakes C3 - C3 - 457 | The start was delayed for 2 minutes at the request of T.A.B Control. The race was all clear. |
| Race 10 | Shannon Dash C4 - C4 - 375 | STIFF DRINK shifted in from the start and crowded CHEMICALLY FREE and DECADO and they were both hampered for a few strides. CHEMICALLY FREE recovered well to win the race. |
| Race 11 | Feilding Dash C5 - C5 - 375 | TIME FRAUD and BOLT RAMA bumped together when the start was made and TIME FRAUD lost ground and settled back. COSMIC FURY checked over the heels of EVER SO HOPEFUL going into the bend and shifted out to collide with BOLT RAMA and they both lost ground. TIME FRAUD shifted out entering the home straight and bumped with COSMIC FURY and then over the final stages, COSMIC FURY shifted in and sharply checked TIME FRAUD which lost ground. |
| Race 12 | Foxton Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457 | One of the favourites GRADUATION was forced to race wide covering extra ground after starting from box 8 and he stayed back to finish in last place. |
