Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C1 - C1 - 305	DEATHSTAR was a late scratching when found to have a slight pectoral muscle injury when presented for kennelling. BACKYARD QUEEN shifted in going into the bend and checked OPAWA JEN which lost two lengths.
Race 2	Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 305	OPAWA GIFT went up with the box lids losing ground and settled at the rear. sShe then raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in 6th place. SUNDAY DRIVER, TAIKOREA LASS and CHARLIE'S PAL jostled together going to the first turn and they all lost ground with TAIKOREA LASS the most affected and she lost four lengths and all chance.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C2 - C2 - 520	FERGIE'S BELLE shifted in abruptly from the start and forced THRILLING AVA in off it line of running. ENHANCER was also hampered in the incident. OPAWA TOKEN shifted in going into the first turn and checked ENHANCER and a short distance further on, TEN POINT ONE shifted in and checked THRILLING AVA which lost four lengths. DUTCHESS QUEEN was checked losing four lengths entering the final bend when WALLACE LAD moved through on the inside. TEN POINT ONE and OPAWA TOKEN bumped together entering the home straight and lost momentum.
Race 4	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA began awkwardly losing two lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. HOMEBUSH CRUDEN and MISS MCFLY jostled together for a short distance going to the first corner and MISS MCFLY lost three lengths.
Race 5	Harrison Hire Master C3 - C3 - 305	RUAPEHU shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to FLYING BLAKE and COUGAR ALERT which both lost two lengths. JACKSON TOWN shifted out approaching the home straight and caused checks to HOMEBUSH HELLS and FLYING BLAKE with all three becoming unbalanced and they finished at the rear.
Race 6	Wanganui Security C3 - C3 - 305	UNO FLASH was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but was able to secure a clear inside run and finished well for 3rd placing. ALAMEIN JAH shifted out and WORKING WORKING shifted in going into the bend and this resulted in HOMEBUSH BUFFY which was racing between them being tightened and she lost two lengths.
Race 7	Gary Ross Decorator C3 - C3 - 305	One of the favourites COLD TURKEY was one of the slowest to ,begin and settled back but was observed to be avoiding the heels of other runners when attempting to improve and finished in last place. R.Murray, the Trainer of the winner was questioned regarding the very much improved performance of OPAWA SACHA and he advised the Stewards that it was its first start for him, that he increased her weight by 1.2 kilograms and that she was freshened after a spell of three months and a combination of those factors probably contributed to the win.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 305	LITTLE RASCAL raced handy from the start and led into the bend but was then checked losing three lengths and finished in 5th place. BIT COIN was observed to have blood on a front paw and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a spike wound to the left front foot.
Race 9	The Rock 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 305	CRYSTAL WAVE began awkwardly and shifted out onto NGAURUHOE and they lost a little ground. CRYSTAL WAVE and NGAURUHOE again came together going into the first turn, became unbalanced and shifted wide going into the bend losing ground and they finished in the last two places. SMIDGED checked over the heels of HOMEBUSH SARGE and raced a little wide into the home straight.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	MAMMY BROWN shifted in abruptly from the start and caused a chained reaction of interferance which affected PHONE TAP, BIGTIME DASHER, GRADUATION, OPAWA NATTY and BACKYARD BULLY and they all lost ground. GRADUATION and BACKYARD BULLY then collided going into the first bend losing further ground and they stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 11	Wanganui Chronicle C5 - C5 - 305	PRINCELY DOLLAR began awkwardly losing ground and settled at the rear. SWAPAN shifted in going to the first corner and crowded ROSEMORE OSTI, AVERT and SLANGEVAR and they all lost ground. COSMIC FURY and EUREKA IZMIR jostled together for a short distance near the first corner and EUREKA IZMIR suffered the most and lost two lengths.
