Track: Good Wanganui GRC in consultation with the Stewards began a trial period with the Manawatu track conditioner in an attempt to recitfy the recent issues with the track, inparticular the amount of paw marks that bulid up throughout the meeting. This trial was found to be successful however further experimentation will take place.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	ANOTHER PLANE began awkwardly. Approaching the bend RANGER CHICK shifted out of the heels of HOMEBUSH CELIA and in doing so collided with LITTLE PROPHET and SPILT WINE which both fell and ANOTHER PLANE which was checked and lost ground. RANGER CHICK also lost ground after being checked from behind. LITTLE PROPHET was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have Pectoral muscle pain. SPLIT WINE was referred to the Veterianrian and found to have Pectoral and Tricep muscle pain.
Race 2	Morrie Gibbons Signs C0 - C0 - 305	CUTS DEEP angled inwards rounding the bend checking VINNIE BAXTER and LEMON FISH with both runners losing ground and settling back. Also hampered was the trailing DOGGED DENIS which had to check off heels.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 520	LAUREN'S LUCK was slow to begin. LOO LOO BLUE shifted in shortly after jumping away crowding WHERE'S SHIRAZ and JASPER HAKA. JUST LIKE PRINCE and WHERE'S SHIRAZ jostled for several strides approaching the winning post on the first occasion and shortly after JUST LIKE PRINCE was checked and lost ground. JUST LIKE PRINCE recovered well and ran home to finish in 5th position at the line. WHERE'S SHIRAZ was checked and lost ground rounding the first bend when racing between LAUREN'S LUCK and HOMEBUSH MARLOW. When well back, HOMEBUSH MARLOW and LAUREN"S LUCK were crowded briefly when WHERE"S SHIRAZ which had improved up on their outside shifted in at the point of the bend.
Race 4	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C0 - C0 - 305	LUM JUM was slow to begin and settled back. PREMIER DANCER was briefly crowded racing along the back straight when AOKAUTERE angled inward towards the rail. RIKKI'S REBEL improved up onto the heels HOMEBUSH MAGIC approaching the bend and clipped that runners heels, falling and losing its chance. RIKKI's REBEL was referred to the Veterianrian and found to be suffering from Pectoral and Tricep muscle pain.
Race 5	Harrison Hire Master C1 - C1 - 305	DEATHSTAR and HOMEBUSH TITAN were both crowded and lost ground approaching the first bend when runners from the outside angled inwards. BLUE RUSH which was racing to the outside was heavily bumped and became briefly unbalanced and lost ground. LOOKS ALL GOOD shifted ground outward over the final 50 metres.
Race 6	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305	PLAN YOUR MOVE shifted out shortly after the start forcing HOMEBUSH VERONA into the line of COSMIC SALLY which was checked and lost ground. OPAWA GIFT improved up onto the heels of DOGGED DAN and shifted out forcing COSMIC SALLY wider on the track.
Race 7	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 520	UNO CHARM, MATISSE, GUCCI RUSH and TRIPLE AYE were all crowded shortly after jumping away between SHEZA TERROR which shifted out and ODE TO LIBERTY which shifted in abruptly. UNO CHARM and MATISSE lost ground as a result and settled toward the rear entering the first bend. GUCCI RUSH was bumped rounding the first bend by MATISSE and became unbalanced for a couple of strides. UNO CHARM was referred to the Veterinarian at the request of Trainer B Goodwin and found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C1 - C1 - 305	REGINA HAKA, TANYBRYN and SMIRNOFF were all crowded approaching the first bend when to the inside of CHOCDEE ALICE which shifted ground. REGINA HAKA was the most affected and lost ground.
Race 9	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	BELLE CADEAU was crowded leaving the boxes and lost ground when BOOT THE CASH shifted in. Rounding the bend, BOOT THE CASH shifted out off the heels of WOLF MARINE, running wide and becoming unbalanced when bumped with SMART COOKIE. SMART COOKIE and PARTICK STAR were forced over extra ground in the incident and lost their chances as a result.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	OPAWA LEANNE shifted out rounding the first bend forcing MADAM ICE, OPAWA CHRIS, and SARAH'S DOMAIN wider on the track. OPAWA LEANNE made the bend entering the home straight very wide covering extra ground. OPAWA CHRIS was referred to the Veterianarian at the request of Trainer R Maisey and found to have a small spike wound.
Race 11	Wanganui Chronicle C1 - C1 - 305	HILTON FRIDAY shifted in abruptly on jumping away crowding SHELDON BAXTER and WHERE'S RICAN for a few strides. HILTON FRIDAY continued to shift ground inward along the back straight and approaching the bend crowded MISS MCFLY which shifted out off heels and hampered SHELDON BAXTER. SUB SILENTIO was also hampered being forced wider on the track. ZIPPING TAY raced wide throughout however held on for a narrow victory.
Race 12	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305	CALM RITA was slow to begin losing several lengths at the start. FIRE BOY BAXTER shifted inward rounding the bend into the line of SHOWEM BABY which clipped that runners heel and shifted out forcing NO NO ROMEO wider on the track. SHOWEM BABY and NO NO ROMEO lost ground in the incident and effectively all chance in the race.
Race 13	Tiered Non tote C1 - Tier 2 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LAD was a late scratching after escaping during the stirr-up and galloping for a considerable distance. Stewards spoke with Trainer/Handler F Kite and it was found that the dog had slipped the collar during the stirr-up and no further action deemed necessary. SEDGEBROOK LAD was referred to the Veterinarian and found to have skinned pads and bleeding nails. SEDGEBROOK SKITE checked off the heels of KEZZ approaching the first bend.
