Track: Good The reason for the lure breakdown was that a brush flipped over breaking a spring in the lure. This was rectified and tested prior to the next race.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil.

Judicial report: Race 5 was abandoned when the lure broke down on the home turn. Trainers R Casey and J Goode were both questioned in regards to being slightly late to present their dogs for the split kennelling. Their explanations were accepted on this occasion and they were reminded of the need to keep Stewards informed of any potential delays.

Race 1	Super Pets Dash - C0 - 295	BLACK BARRACUDA (8) was slow to jump and then drifted right out finishing a margin behind the field. CAWBOURNE FLOW (1) faltered on the home bend and dropped right out. These two dogs were both referred to the vet for assessment. BLACK BARRACUDA was found to have a minor pad injury. This dog was charged under Rule 80.1.b. for failing to pursue the lure and stood down for 28 days with a satisfactory trial to be completed.
Race 2	Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C0 - 520	GOLDSTAR JUNIOR (7) was very slow to jump with KNOW RIGHTS (1) also settling well back. CAWBOURNE ARIES (2) checked outwards off the back of the pacemaking MISS SELFIES (4) into the first bend with GOLDSTAR MARIO (8) being forced very wide. In behind GOLDSTAR FRANKIE (5) and JASPER HAKA (6) were also inconvenienced in this incident. This pair received another check soon after as GOLDSTAR JUNIOR improved to their inside.
Race 3	Hampden Tavern Sprint - C0 - 295	This race ran two minutes behind time due to a delay to a race at Winton. ANOTHER PLANE (1) was last to jump. EDITORIAL (7) ran inwards in the back straight checking CULVIE BOY (4) who lost a length. CULVIE BOY angled outwards on the home turn checking DITCHED (8) who lost momentum.
Race 4	Johnny Midnight At Stud Sprint - C0 - 295	PURPLE PRIDE (2) and ROCKWOOD ARCHIE (7) were the slowest to jump. OHOKA COBY (5) ran inwards in the early stages checking TORERO (4) and ADVANCED PEDRO (3) who lost ground with ADVANCED PEDRO brushing the rail. ROCKWOOD ARCHIE got on the heels of OHOKA COBY into the bend with both dogs losing momentum. On the home turn LEMON FISH (6) lost ground when racing to the outside of ADVANCED PEDRO with TORERO being forced wide around these runners.
Race 5	racingdogs.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	This race was declared a no race under Rule 76 when the lure slowed to a halt on the home turn. Stewards took into account that the dogs had completed nearly 400 metres and in the interests of dog welfare a re-run was not possible.
Race 6	C.T.V. Sprint - C1 - 295	BUBLIN JED (1) dropped to the rear in the early stages. TOKEN STU (2) ran inwards into the bend and struck the rail losing ground. SLINGO (5) angled outwards into the bend and checked WONKEY DONKEY (7) and MULBERRY BROOK (8) who both lost ground.
Race 7	The Miller Bar & Cafe Dash - C1 - 295	DINO DAN (1) was last to jump and then ran outwards losing ground. YAPSTER JEWEL (2) ran outwards and came together with TEEVEE KIMBA (5) in the early stages. General tightening into the first bend meant BIZARRO (4), OPAWA ALBIE (7) and CAWBOURNE PILFER (8) all lost momentum.
Race 8	christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz Stakes - C1 - 520	KNOW SOLUTION (7) was last to jump. KAINO (5) ran inwards in the initial stages coming together with GIRL MAGIC (4) and OPAWA ANDREA (3). GIRL MAGIC was checked into the first bend dropping to the rear.
Race 9	Dave Robbie Photographer Stakes - C2 - 520	COVER TO COVER (3) and ROCKY BAXTER (5) were last on settling. JIBBAJABBA JEWEL (2) was badly tightened into the first bend and ran outwards checking COVER TO COVER who was forced wide and lost ground.
Race 10	Christchurch Casino Sprint - C2 - 295	MR. BIG STUFF (9) was a clear last on jumping. AVERSION (3) ran outwards into the bend pushing VALLDEMOSSA (4) and MR. BIG STUFF very wide on the track.
Race 11	Hurunui Hotel Sprint - C1 - 295	STARBURST HANNAH (7) ran inwards in the early stages checking WUNZEE (6), TOTALLY TOASTED (9), FLIP FLIPPA (4) and ADROIT (3) with all of these runners losing ground. ELLIE WAVES (2) then ran outwards in the back straight checking STARBURST HANNAH who lost ground. In behind FLIP FLIPPA and TOTALLY TOASTED were both checked at this stage and dropped to the rear. ADROIT ran outwards on the home turn and pushed EXPRESS MALE (8) wider on the track.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C2 - 295	MAXIMUM JEWEL (8) dropped to the rear on settling. PEDRO FORCE (4) checked outwards off BLICKLING BRIDGE (2) on the turn pushing PHAT PANTS (6) and MY LITTLE OAH (7) over extra ground.
Race 13	Non Tote C1 Sprint - Tier 2 - 295	MR. BARRY (6), CAUSE WHY (8) and GLENN IS GOODSEY (9) were slow to jump. MR. BARRY and CAUSE WHY both ran wide on the home turn. MR. BARRY was referred to the vet for assessment after falling at the lure.
Race 14	Non Tote C1 Sprint - Tier 2 - 295	ZEE BRUGGE (2) and CAMRAY (8) dropped to the rear in the early stages.
