Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing order through out the day, all other equipment operated well
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: The inquiry opened and adjourned in to the circumstances for the late scratching of OPAWA STU from the Waikato GRC meeting on 16-1-2014 has been concluded
The Stewards received a letter from trainer S Gardner explaining the circumstances of her failing to receive messages and calls from her phone provider, The Stewards have viewed the phone and are satisfied that that this is correct, the problems with a phone providers issues have been well documented in the main daily papers in the last few days
S Gardner has been advised to have some alternative arrangement in case this happens again.
TAPU BOY ( M Mann ) completed a trial in blinkers and is cleared to race in them .
ZIPPING WILL ( D Schofield ) completed a satisfactory trial and is cleared to race
The stand down imposed under rule 64.13 on OPAWA STU has been recinded with the dog cleared to be nominated.

Race 1	MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint Series Final - C1f - 318	The Starter was spoken to advisedly to make sure he helps if needed in future after FORTIS FLYER took too long to be locked away NO MORE LAUGHING ( fav ) was only fairly away in the body of the field, he was checked as FOUND ROMAN angled inwards tightening WHERE'S THE CAT inwards squeezing HELL FIRE back in behind, soon after HAIR HE IS and NO MORE LAUGHTER came together jostling for several strides, NO MORE LAUGHTER lost a couple of lengths, he ran on well in to 2nd placing at the line
Race 2	Happy Birthday Charlotte Cottam-Udy Sprint - C0 - 318	WORKING IT went down on her haunches as she left the boxes racing across the top bend WINSOME OSCAR made contact with the rail and stumbled, XTRA LARGE caught his heels almost dragging WINSOME OSCAR down, a stride or so on WINSOME OSCAR and XTRA LARGE bumped with WINSOME OSCAR falling, he recovered his footing to finish on to the lure some distance behind the field WORKING IT after botching the start was unable to get in to contention there after and was referred to the vet for assessment WINSOME OSCAR was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 3	Glen Johnstone Happy Birthday Sprint - C2 - 318	ZIPPING REECE ( fav )was only fairly away from the 1 box, he was able to get a clear run through the field to be up vying for the lead on the home turn finishing best to win
Race 4	Sunline Trophy Larto & Mrs. Punting Stakes - C1 - 527	VERSATILE RICHIE was a late scratching at kennelling due to a gracilis muscle injury a 10 day stand down was imposed. From the boxes ZAMDATO ran in sharply on to COOL PURSUIT, in side them CHRISTIAN GRAY stumbled as he came out of box 1 coming together with COOL PURSUIT as this runner was checked back CHRISTIAN GRAY lost touch with the field across the top bend finishing a margin in the rear at the line, he was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 5	Ownagreyhound.co.nz Sprint - C2/3 - 318	UP THERE HERBIE ( fav ) was tardy away from the start, he raced up in to the field soon after, LOUIELICIOUS and REBEL KHAN were tightened up jostling for some distance as IMA SPICE attempted to keep his ground, WHERE'S CARLOS from the wide box raced to the lead angling inwards at this point ,IMA SPICE caught his heels and fell, UP THERE and HEZA CARLOS were forced to gallop over the fallen runner. IMA SPICE recovered his footing to finish on to the lure some distance back and was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 6	City Of Sails Sprint Heat 1 - C5q - 318 Heat 1	COCKY APPEAL was slow away by a few lengths, he crossed to the rail racing to the first turn making contact at this point as SECRET STAR moved inwards, HARVEY NICHOLS ran widest across the top bend, in behind the leaders on the top bend NATHAN'S CHAMP was checked as DANATO came across on to him, NATHAN'S CHAMP caught heels losing several lengths and was unable to get back in to contention there after COCKY APPEAL was referred to the vet for assessment
Race 7	$30,000 Pick6 Sprint - C4 - 318	THRILLING ABRA was slow away from wider out, in the run to the first turn RUN KAYLA RUN and SENORITA CHANGE came together and were tightened as CAWBOURNE HENRY and CRIXUS crossed to the rail SENORITA CHANG ran out of room and fell bumping the shoulder of FLY MY PRETTY as this dog raced past RUN KAYLA RUN fell going over the top of SENORITA CHANG with THRILLING ISSUES hurdling these runners almost falling SENORITA CHANG, RUN KAYLA RUN recovered their footing to finish on to the lure a distance behind the rest of the field with THRILLING ISSUES. These three dogs were referred to the vet for assessment. THRILLING ISSUES was vetted with no abnormalities found RUN KAYLA RUN was vetted with no abnormalities found
Race 8	Louise Clarkin Memorial Stakes - C3/4 - 527	All clear
Race 9	Manukau Sports Bowl Sprnt Series Final - C2f - 318	In the run to the first turn the two leading dogs MEGA UPLOAD and MISS JOLT came together jostling for some distance, CAWBOURNE IGNITE angled inwards from wide out forcing MISS JOLT back a length or so, soon after MISS JOLT was tightened as CALM NUSKA raced up on her outer up ahead MEGA UPLOAD moved out to avoid heels forcing CALM NUSKA very wide on to the top bend, he recovered good ground to finish in to 3rd placing at the line.
Race 10	Kevin Coutts Memorial Cup Stakes - C5 - 527	CAWBOURNE JOCK raced in or near the lead in the early stages , he drifted slightly along the back finishing in the rear at the line In the run to the first bend CODE NINE ( fav ) crossed out over heels losing ground, he recovered to make good ground along the back to vye for the lead across the top bend in to the home straight, he was unable to finish off strongly enough finishing a close up 2nd placing at the line.
Race 11	City Of Sails Sprint Heat 2 - C5q - 318 Heat 2	In the run to the first turn DOWN THE BACK and LORD WILL came together jostling for some distance , up ahead BOSS LADY SLOY and CHARLIE'S FUNDS were vying for the lead, CHARLIE'S FUNDS angled down on to BOSS LADY SLOY almost forcing her in to the rail CLOVER APPEAL in behind caught the heels of BOSS LADY SLOY stumbling out on to DOWN THE BACK who went out on to LORD WILL as ATE POWER came in LORD WILL ran out of room and fell, on the inner BOSS LADY SLOY lost ground back towards the rear LORD WILL recovered his footing to finish on to the lure a margin behind the field at the line LORD WILL and BOSS LADY SLOY were referred to the vet for assessment DOWN THE BACK was also referred to the vet at the handlers request .
Race 12	Jack's Wholesale Meats Sprint - C1 - 318	FIERY CONQUEST went up with the lids then stumbled going down on her nose losing several lengths In the run to the first turn SARAH'S COOL and BREAKTHRU came together jostling for several strides, BEALESTREET angled inwards tightening these dogs, SARAH'S COOL was pushed sideways ,she went straight out across the face of DOWN THE BACK and HAT TRICK CHAOS, SARAH'S COOL lost her footing in behind going right down on her hind quarters rolling in to and checking JELLY JEM who ran wide on to the bend . SARAH'S COOL lost all chance there after finishing in the rear at the line. HAT TRICK CHAOS and BREAKTHRU recovered well from the earlier interference to finish in to 3rd & 4th placings at the line . SARAH'S COOL was referred to the vet for assessment .
