Track: Good Following remedial work on the track, the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Judicial report: The meeting was put back one race for the entire programme after Trainers expressed concern regarding an area of the track which was showing signs of being excessively wet and which they believed could have been a safety issue. Remedial work was carried out and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Race 1	Welcome Stakes C3/4 - C3/4 - 520	The meeting was put back by one race for the entire programme after Trainers registered their concern regarding a wet area of the track where the maintenance vehicles entered and exited the track and this area required some remedial work. KNOW WISDOM was a late scratching when the Trainer advised that due to a ferry concellation, he was not able to reach the track in time for the race. JOHNNY RITZA was slow to begin and settled back. TRICKY GALE was checked and fell on the first corner and JOHNNY RITZA was hampered and lost two lengths. TRICKY GALE was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have quadricep / triangle muscle pain. BLUE AND CURLY was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Handlers request and found to have deltoid muscle pain.
Race 2	Brent Coull Memorial Ht1 - C2q - 305 Heat 1	EXCESSIVE SPEED was slow to begin losing a length. ALL THE COCO became awkwardly placed in restricted room between YOUR ON FIRE and EXCESSIVE SPEED going to the first corner and lost two lengths. BOSTON BLAZE led from the start and was observed to slip on the home turn losing some momentum but recovered to win the race. BOSTON BLAZE was referred to the Vet for assessment as a precaution at the Trainers request and cleared of injury.
Race 3	Brent Coull Memorial Ht2 - C2q - 305 Heat 2	BLACK TRIGGER and CALM RITA began awkwardly losing three lengths and they stayed back throughout the race to finish in the last two places. SHOWEM BABY started from box 8 and raced wide throughout covering extra ground and finished in 4th place.
Race 4	Anglo Upholsterers C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	CAWBOURNE LOGAN was slow to begin losing four lengths and settled at the rear. THANKS CHARLIE raced midfield early in the race but drifted to the rear going into the back straight and continued to drift, finishing several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 5	Opawa Racing Ltd Wellington Cup Gp1 Ht1 - C5q - 520 Heat 1	KIWI GIRL shifted out soon after the start and hampered FEEL THE VIBE and KIKI RHODE and they lost two lengths. RENE RANGER attempted a run inside the leader PIGGY BACK on the final bend but was checked losing three lengths at a critical stage of the race and finished in 3rd place.
Race 6	Cafe Cibo ( Upper Hutt) Dash C3 - C3 - 305	LOST IN LIGHT shifted in going to the first corner and hampered ALL THE MILK and GINA MAC with GINA MAC the most affected and she went back to last and finished in that position. KINETIC RIO was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Handlers request and found to have pain in both tricep muscles and gracilus muscle pain.
Race 7	Opawa Racing Ltd Wellington Cup Gp 1 Ht2 - C5q - 520 Heat 2	BRIGHTON BULLET shifted out from the start and MAMMY BROWN shifted in and this resulted in checks to CAWBOURNE PHILLIP, FANCY TIP, RILEY'S MATE and REALLY CLEVER and they all lost ground with CAWBOURNE PHILLIP, FANCY TIP and REALLY CLEVER the most affected and they went back to the rear.
Race 8	Peter Campbell Engravers C4 - C4 - 305	HOMEBUSH LIGNITE was a little slow to begin losing a length but made up ground well with the aid of an inside run and finished in 3rd place. IT'S A DOLL was awkwardly placed between ADDICTED and BELKARA going into the bend and she lost three lengthsand tailed the field from there to the finish.
Race 9	Opawa Racing Ltd Wellington Cup Gp 1 Ht3 - C5q - 520 Heat 3	KNOW CLASS began awkwardly losing two lengths. BIGTIME DASHER shifted out going into the bend and bumped with INDI RHODE. KNOW CLASS and JINJARANGO jostled together rounding the first bend and JINJARANGO was eventually checked and went out onto BIGTIME DASHER and they both lost several lengths and stayed back to finish at the rear. KNOW CLASS recovered from the slow beginning and the jostling with JINJARANGO and made up ground well to win the race.
Race 10	Wellington Champion Sprint Ht 1 - C5q - 305 Heat 1	ARMED FORCES, JUST A BOY and OPAWA SISTER bumped together when the start was made and JUST A BOY was checked back to the rear. OPAWA SISTER shifted out going into the bend and NITRO LUIS and RUN LACEY RUN shifted in which resulted in MISS SWEET and VICKI'S QUEST being checked and losing three lengths.
Race 11	Opawa Racing Ltd Wellington Cup Gp 1 Ht4 - C5q - 520 Heat 4	KNOW ATTEMPT shifted out and bumped with OPAWA SWEDE going to the first corner and both lost ground and settled back. GRADUATION and CHECK THE MAIL bumped going into the first corner and they both lost ground and they stayed back for the remainder of the race.
Race 12	Wellington Champion Sprint Ht 2 - C5q - 305 Heat 2	SUPERIOR IZMIR and BEE RABBIT bumped together soon after the start and settled back. They bumped together again going into the bend losing further ground and finished in the rear group. SUPERIOR IZMIR did not look comfertable in its galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
