Track: Good There were a number of pad injuries during the meeting and this is a matter of concern and will be discussed with the Club management.

Judicial report: Trainer J.T.McInerney was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when AUSTIN WANA was presented 1.8 kilograms under its last start weight on 16.12.2013.

Race 1	WELCOME SPRINT C4 - C4 - 305	THRILLING MIGHT and ENGLISH HONEY bumped together when the start was made and settled back. HOMEBUSH LIGNITE and LADY ANABELLA were slow to begin and lost two lengths. SWAPAN shifted in going into the bend checking UNO ALLEGRO which went back and out checking RINGA DING and LADY ANABELLA which both lost two lengths.
Race 2	MCANDREWS MENSWEAR C2 - C2 - 305	OPAWA PATCH was slow to begin losing three lengths. YEAH NAH steadied off the heels of HOMEBUSH BUFFY going into the bend and shifted out causing severe checks to WORKING WORKING, EXCESSIVE SPEED and ODE TO LIBERTY and they lost several lengths and all chance. EXCESSIVE SPEED checked off the heels of WORKING WORKING entering the home straight and they both lost momentum.
Race 3	A1 EMBROIDERY C2 - C2 - 305	SPOT ON MAGGIE, WHITE LEGS and WHERE'S RICAN jostled together soon after the start and they lost ground and settled back and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 4	PETER CAMPBELL ENGRAVERS C4 - C4 - 305	STIFF DRINK and AUSTIN WANA came together and bumped losing momentum soon after the start. BELKARA clipped the heels of the leader LITTLE RASCAL going into the bend and LITTLE RASCAL lost momentum and went back a couple of places. FLIRT ACADEMY clipped heels of AUSTIN WANA on the home turn and they both lost ground. AUSTIN WANA was lame following the race, was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a metatarsal injury.
Race 5	B & P ENGINEERING C2 - C2 - 520	BELLDEEN was checked going into the first bend losing several lengths and she stayed back for the remainder of the race. MARIAH checked of the heels of OPAWA JAY going into the final bend and lost two lengths. MARIAH was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have a webbing injury.
Race 6	CAPITAL PAVING C3 - C3 - 305	BOB'S YOUR UNCLE, KINETIC RIO,HOMEBUSH COCO, LOST IN LIGHT, SUPREME SHELLEEN and BLACK MERCEDES were all involved in jostling going into the bend and they lost varying amounts of ground. BLACK MERCEDES was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Handlers request and found to have a puncture wound to a metatarsus. BOTANY JESSIE held a good lead going into the bend but then ran a little wide and shortened stride and drifted back to finish in 5th place. She was also referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a toe injury.
Race 7	ANGLO UPHOLSTERERS C3 - C3 - 305	ALL THE MILK shifted in going into the bend and checked AZURE DREAMS which went out and back causing checks to ANOTHER COFFEE and AGENT JORGE and they lost three lengths. GINA MAC became awkwardly placed between UNO GREEN and THRILLING CAIRO on the bend and she was shuffled back to the rear where she remained until the finish.
Race 8	CAFE CIBO UPPER HUTT C3 - C3 - 520	The race was all clear. THAT'S KING was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Handlers request and found to have skinned pads on right front and left hind feet.
Race 9	OPAWA RACING LTD C5 - C5 - 305	STARLA shifted out from the start and hampered ROSEMORE OSTI, ARMED FORCES and WEE DIGER and they lost ground. A short distance further on, FIERY DANCER shifted in and hampered ROSEMORE OSTI, WEE DIGER and VICKI'S QUEST and they lost momentum. NITRO LUIS shifted in going into the bend making contact with ARMED FORCES and was checked and almost fell losing several lengths and all chance.
Race 10	WELLINGTON GRC COMMITTEE STAKES C4 - C4 - 520	WONG WAY SUSIE shifted out going into the first corner and collided with EL JETTA which almost fell and BOSTON CHANEL, CHEVY VOLT and BLUE AND CURLLY were also affected in the incident and lost ground. WONG WAY SUSIE suffered from skinned pads on all four feet and a skinned stopper pad. CHEVY VOLT and BOSTON CHANEL also suffered from skinned pads and were referred to the Vet by the respective Trainers. There was no catcher for EL JETTA after the race due to a shortage of catchers. However, the handler in charge of the Ahern runners was advised that in a similar situation in the future, they would be expected to at least make some effort to get someone to the catching area.
Race 11	GOLD BAND FINANCE C5 - C5 - 305	GURU GOOSE and SLANGEVAR were slow to begin losing four lengths.. WILD PUNTING shifted in going to the first corner and checked JUST A BOY and BEE RABBIT with BEE RABBIT the most affected and he lost several lengths. JUST A BOY and COSMIC FURY made contact on the bend and COSMIC FURY lost ground. SWEET LIES suffered from skinned pads and was referred to the Vet for assessment by the Trainer.
Race 12	E J Wing Memorial Challenge Cup C5 - C5 - 520	ATE TO MUCH was a late scratching when rexamined on being removed from the kennels to prepare to race, he was found to have an abrasion to the side of the pad of a toe. LAUGH LIKE SANTA shifted in going into the first corner and pushed SUPERIOR IZMIR into the rail. LAUGH LIKE SANTA then shifted out abruptly collding with SPEED LEGEND and they both fell and INDIANA IZMIR was severly checked losing several lengths. SUPERIOR IZMIR, LAUGH LIKE SANTA and SPEED LEGEND were referred to the Vet for assessment. SUPERIOR IZMIR was found to have mild abrasions and bruising but no stand down was required. LAUGH LIKE SANTA was found to have left shoulder pain and SPEED LEGEND was found to have a toe injury.
