Race 1	Super Pets Sprint - C1 - 295	DINO DAN (7) was last to jump. HARPER MEHL (8) ran inwards at dispatch and checked GO BRIDIE (6) who dropped to the rear. In the early stages TOBY'S TERRA (4) angled outwards forcing KENNY'S COMET (5) up the track with this dog brushing with HARPER MEHL for a stride. Into the bend DINO DAN was forced over extra ground. There was no time taken for this race.
Race 2	Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	FANTA'S FICTION (6) was last to jump. RUTH'S RAIDER (9) was checked into the first bend as FANTA'S FICTION ran inwards. MIDNIGHT RAFA (2) hit the rail into the bend and ran outwards losing ground and pushing RUTH'S RAIDER wider on the track. Into the back straight FANTA'S FICTION checked off the heels of CULVIE SPRITE (1) and lost a length.
Race 3	Thursday Place Pick Sprint - C0 - 295	OHOKA FAITH (5) was last from the traps. MAX STEEL (6), WONKEY DONKEY (4) and HOMEBUSH KIZZY (3) all came together in the early stages losing momentum. OREO BAXTER (7) ran inwards in the back straight colliding with WONKEY DONKEY. OREO BAXTER continued to angle inwards into the bend checking WONKEY DONKEY and HOMEBUSH KIZZY.
Race 4	Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	OHOKA TOO SOON (7) was last to jump. OPAWA DARK (2) was tightened into the first bend and lost ground as GRUNT RODGERS (4) shifted down the track. OHOKA TOO SOON then was badly squeezed between this runner and GOLDSTAR BOMBER (8) who crossed from his outside. OHOKA TOO SOON was badly dragged down in this incident and dropped to the rear. The pacemaking FINANCE TOMMO (5) ran wide around the first bend losing some ground.
Race 5	C.T.V. Dash - C0 - 295	COSMIC CHOICE (2) and JUNIOR CLEEVE (3) were the last pair on jumping. MISS SELFIES (4) ran inwards into the bend tightening COSMIC CHOICE and FIVE DOLLAR LEO (1) with this trio all losing ground. In behind JUNIOR CLEEVE hit the rail and lost ground.
Race 6	The Miller Bar & Cafe Sprint - C1 - 295	THANKS LOUISE (2) was a clear last at the jump. TEEVEE KIMBA (4) ran inwards checking SUM ARE FUN (3). MOTLEY MAN (7) ran inwards in the back straight checking MAKER'S LABEL (6) for a stride.
Race 7	Shirley Vet Clinic Maiden Heat 3 - C0q - 520 Heat 3	GARNSEY (3) was last to jump with CAWBOURNE ARIES (1) and CASY'S RAIDA (2) also settling well back. CAWBOURNE ARIES then checked and ran outwards into the first bend. On the home turn the pacemaking OPAWA TOM (4) eased and turned its head outwards checking TOTALLY TOASTED (6). RUNAWAY TAXI (7) then made ground in between these runners coming together with OPAWA TOM for a stride. OPAWA TOM was referred to the vet for assessment where no injury was detected. Stewards charged OPAWA TOM under Rule 80.1.b. with failing to pursue the lure with the dog being stood down for 28 days and required to complete a satisfactory trial.
Race 8	Hampden Tavern Dash - C2 - 295	KNOW SKILL (5) and ANOTHER SNAZZA (8) were slow to jump. GO TIMMEE (1) was tightened into the bend and lost ground. ANOTHER SNAZZA (8) ran inwards into the bend tightening PHIL WART (4) and KNOW SKILL who lost ground. ANOTHER SNAZZA then contacted GO TIMMEE on the turn and fell with KNOW SKILL having to hurdle this runner losing her chance. ANOTHER SNAZZA completed the race and was referred to the vet for assessment with general soreness resulting in a ten day stand down being imposed.
Race 9	Garrard's Horse And Hound Stakes - C2 - 520	LOCHINVAR CAMERO (2) ran outwards in the early stages checking BLUSHING BELLE (4) who dropped to the rear. LOCHINVAR CAMERO then checked off heels into the first bend and lost ground. KNOW SECURITY (5) and WHAT I LIKE (8) brushed together for a stride on the home turn. OPAWA MARG (1) was checked when held up for room on the home turn and ran outwards losing ground.
Race 10	Dave Robbie Photographer Sprint - C2 - 295	HOME TRUTH (5) was last to jump. EASY SILENCE (7) was checked on two occasions from behind by VISUAL ILLUSION (1) when handy into the bend and lost ground. RITE ROUND RANGE (6) and AVERSION (8) were forced to take evasive action to get around EASY SILENCE. SARAH'S DOMAIN (2) and CAMRAY (9) were also hampered at this point. EASY SILENCE was referred to the vet for assessment where no injury was detected.
Race 11	Hurunui Hotel Stakes - C1 - 520	RADICAL RUFUS (4) ran outwards in the initial stages checking ARCHIE'S COMET (5), GIRL MAGIC (6) and HOMEBUSH CORAL (7). CLARETOWN LEROY (1) was tightened into the back straight and lost ground. ARCHIE'S COMET was checked at the end of the back straight as OPAWA ZARA (8) crossed from its outside.
Race 12	Speight's Dash - C2 - 295	AS FAR AS (3) and NITRO EXPRESS (8) were last to jump. STARBURST HANNAH (5) was dragged down on the home turn and dropped to the rear.
Race 13	Non Tote C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 295	ASPRO ANNIE (4) was tightened and lost ground into the bend. COALPIT MICK (3) checked off the back of OTTO BAXTER (8) into the bend and ran outwards pushing MULBERRY BROOK (6) over extra ground.
Race 14	Non Tote C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 295	QUE TEE PIX (6) and OPAWA HOG (8) were last to jump. CAWBOURNE STATE (2) was badly checked into the bend and lost its chance.
