Track: Good The track was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Tongariro was scratched without a penalty after the Trainers submitted a valid reason for the scratching to the Stewards. The reason was explained in a mechanics assessment of a damaged vehicle under repair which resulted in a replacement vehicle being used and there was not sufficient room for the Greyhound.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	NERO HAKA was the slowest to begin losing two lengths but he recovered quickly to be up racing handy and finished the race off well to win. INTO THE FRAY, RIKKI'S REBEL, LITTLE VAMPIRE and GOODTIME HELEN came together and jostled soon after the start and they all lost ground with LITTLE VAMPIRE the most affected.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	DIRTY MINDS shifted out abruptly from the start causing checks to SNIFF OF BRANDY, JENKA BAXTER and LITTLE PROPHET. A short distance further on, JOHNNY ANGEL and LITTLE PROPHET jostled together and DIRTY MINDS and HERMIONE BAXTER also jostled for a couple of strides. Going into the bend, JOHNNY ANGEL wanted to race away from the rail and HERMIONE BAXTER shifted in which resulted in DIRTY MINDS and LITTLE PROPHET being tightened between them and losing ground. SNIFF OF BRANDY and JENKA BAXTER collided going into the bend and JENKA BAXTER was forced to race wide on the bend and finished in last place.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 520	HOMEBUSH TITAN shifted in soon after the start and caused jostling to GOODTIME KATE and APPLAUSE for a short distance. COUGAR ALERT then shifted in going into the bend and caused checks to HOMEBUSH TITAN, APPLAUSE and GOODTIME KATE and they all lost three lengths. HOMEBUSH TITAN and APPLAUSE continued to jostle together for some distance going into the bend losing three lengths.
Race 4	Morrie Gibbons Signs C0 - C0 - 305	OPEHU FLYER shifted out abruptly from the start and raced across the face of the field to make firm contact with DARK FAERYTALES which was unbalanced in the contact. VINNIE BAXTER was slow to begin losing three lengths and his galloping action was awkward throughout the race and he finished last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. SUTRO CHERIE checked off the heels of HOMEBUSH PEPPER on the bend and went back onto KALANI BAXTER and they both lost three lengths.
Race 5	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	SHEZA FOOLING began awkwardly losing three lengths and she then raced wide on the bend covering extra ground and finished in 6th place. GENIA HAKA shifted in going into the bend and checked CALM BROOKE which lost several lengths, went quickly back to last and finished in that position.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 305	OFFENSIVE shifted out a short distance after the start and jostled with ANOTHER PIZZA and RIBA LORDA for several strides and all three runners became a little unbalanced. OFFENSIVE recovered the best of the three and went on to win the race. RAMESSEE checked off the heels of NO NO ROMEO on the bend and shifted out into clear running and finished the race in 4th place. CHARLIE'S PAL led into the bend but then drifted back through the field and finished in last place and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have tricep pain.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	HILTON FRIDAY shifted in abruptly from the start and TANYBRYN shifted out which resulted in checks to HOMEBUSH ALEX, DEATHSTAR, CHOCDEE ALICE, BOOT THE CASH, and SMIRNOFF which all lost ground. The winner MADDIE BRAND shifted in in the home straight and hampered SMIRNOFF which had to check over heels and lost momentum.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 Heat 1 - C1q - 520 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH NOS shifted in from the start and checked THRILLING CLOUD back to the rear. HOMEBUSH NOS and FIGLIA then collided losing momentum going to the first corner. DUTCHESS QUEEN, HOMEBUSH NOS and TEN POINT ONE came together and jostled going into the first bend and they went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race. THRILLING AVA was checked going into the first corner, ran wide into the bend but kept up a strong run to finish in 3rd place.
Race 9	Keenan Concrete C1 Heat 2 - C1q - 520 Heat 2	MADAM ICE was awkwardly placed between MY LIL LUCIFER and BAD WEEK soon after the start and was checked back to the rear. COME ON MICKEY was checked going into the final bend and lost two lengths. CHEVY IMPALA was handy in the early and middle stages but shortened stride and drifted back through the field going into the final bend. He finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. It was suspected that CHEVY IMPALA had been suffering from cramp.
Race 10	The Rock 95.2FM C1 Heat 3 - C1q - 520 Heat 3	TEPIRITA TUITEKA was checked soon after the start losing ground and settled at the rear. MR. DARCI raced onto the heels of SOME GENES on three occasions rounding the first bend and SOME GENES appeared to be uncomfortable in its galloping action and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305	COSMIC SALLY shifted out on the bend and made contact with MY BAD JONNY and then dropped back checking HOMEBUSH CRUDEN with all three losing ground and they finished in the last three places.
Race 12	Wanganui Chronicle C2 - C2 - 305	CAWBOURNE BANKSY shifted in from the start and hampered SPOT ON MAGGIE, GAY THORLEY, POPSOME TAGS and HOMEBUSH RICK and they all lost some momentum.
Race 13	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	ALAMEIN GUS was slow to begin losing two lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. MRS BOUQUET lost her position going into the bend and dropped back onto EXACT MASTER.
Race 14	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	PANDEMONIUM PAWS shifted out going to the first corner and checked REBEL JOE which was unbalanced and lost three lengths.
Race 15	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	FASA MAN which was having its first start for a new Trainer, was up in weight 3.4 kilograms from its last start on 18.11.13 and this was an intentional increase.and the examining Vet passed the dog fit to race. REBEL CITY and SEDGEBROOK LAD were slow to begin losing three lengths. FASA MAN shifted out going into the bend and forced NINA BE GOOD, REBEL CITY and SEDGEBROOK LAD very wide and they all lost all chance in the incident.
