Race 1	Absolutely Electrical c2 - C2 - 305	THRILLING SQUEAL shifted out and JUMPIN SALLY shifted in going to the first corner and this resulted in WHERE'S RICAN and CAWBOURNE BANKSY becoming tightly placed and losing ground. JUMPIN SALLY galloped on the back of WHERE'S RICAN on the bend and was checked and fell but regained her feet to finish onto the lure and was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have sustained tricep and gracilus muscle pain. WHERE'S RICAN lost three lengths in the incident and ODE TO LIBERTY was also hampered and lost a length.
Race 2	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C2 - C2 - 305	KAZILLION shifted in abruptly from the start and checked KIRIBATI GIRL and WAIWHATA DREAM which lost ground and they settled back. Soon after the start, HOMEBUSH RICK shifted in and hampered SPOT ON MAGGIE and OPAWA GIFT for a short distance. EXCESSIVE SPEED shifted out going to the first corner and then shifted in and caused checks to HOMEBUSH RICK and WAIWHATA DREAM and they both lost two lengths. KIRIBATI GIRL galloped on the back of WAIWHATA DREAM in the home straight and they both lost a length.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C1 - C1 - 520	TEPIRITA TUITEKA was slow to begin losing two lengths. CHEVY IMPALA shifted in going into the first corner and collided with OPAWA TOKEN and was then checked from behind by I'M A CATCH and fell. I'M A CATCH was severely checked in the incident and GUCCI RUSH, WORKING WAIKATO and TEPIRITA TUITEKA were unable to avoid CHEVY IMPALA and were also severely checked losing all chance. CHEVY IMPALA was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 4	Palamountains Scientific Nutrition C1/2 - C1/2 - 520	CAWBOURNE LOGAN was slow to begin losing three lengths. He then made up ground well until held up for a short distance on the final bend and finished in 4th place. KYLIE'S BELLE went off stride on the first bend and drifted back to race some distance behind the 2nd last runner and finished last. She was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have tricep muscle tear.
Race 5	Gary Ross Decorator C3 - C3 - 305	UNO GREEN was slow to begin and settled back. GEORGE BAXTER, BOTANY JESSIE, YOUR ON FIRE and AGENT JORGE came together and bumped soon after the start and settled back. YOUR ON FIRE shifted in going to the first turn hampering GEORGE BAXTER which then checked over heels and shifted out abruptlly causing checks to AGENT JORGE and BOTANY JESSIE and all three lost three lengths and finished in the last three places.
Race 6	Morrie Gibbons Signs C3 - C3 - 305	RAVEON shifted out over the heels of ALL THE MILK on the bend and raced very wide into the home straight over extra ground.
Race 7	Harrison Hire Master C4 - C4 - 520	BOSTON CHANEL was slow to begin losing three lengths but was making up ground well until held up behind BIGTIME JET on the final bend. Once in the clear, BOSTON CHANEL finished well for 3rd place. BLUE AND CURLY was tightened between WONG WAY SUSIE and GRADUATION soon after the start and he lost three lengths. RED CRYSTAL and GRADUATION bumped together on the first bend and both lost ground with GRADUATION the most affected and he went back to last.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	DONKEY DEEP shifted in going to the first corner and made contact with the hind quarters of WINNING KNOCKA and became unbalanced and went back to the rear where she stayed for the remainder of the race.
Race 9	Mickey's Liquor C3/4 - C3/4 - 305	SWAPAN shifted in from box 7 at the start and continued to shift in for the length of the back straight and this resulted in checks to all other runners except the eventual winner GLENADDIS which started from box 8. UNO ALLEGRO, LYNNY SOUTHCOMBE and SHE'S TOP NOTCH were the most affected and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	All clear.
Race 11	The Wanganui Chronicle C5 - C5 - 305	COSMIC FURY shifted in from the start and caused checks to ADDICTED, EUREKA IZMIR and MERCENARY which all lost ground and settled back. EUREKA IZMIR then shifted in going into the bend and crossed in front of MERCENARY which checked losing two lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 12	The Rock 95.2FM C5 - C5 - 305	YA LAUGHIN began very awkwardly losing several lengths and all chance. EXPOTENTIAL LILY, ROSEMORE OSTI and NITRO LUIS bumped together soon after the start and settled back. LITTLE RASCAL was handy going into the bend but was initially jostled by NITRO LUIS and a short distance further on was awkwardly placed in restricted room between NITRO LUIS and EXPONENTIAL LILY and was checked back to last and finished in that position.
