| Race 1 | NZRS Novice Racing Series Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 1 | SPEEDY SWEEDE (2) was slow to begin . GIRL MAGIC (8) was slow through the initial stages. Into the first turn SPEEDY SWEEDE shifted outwards from the running line and made contact with the hind quarters of MISS ISABELLA (7) which was unbalanced and lost ground as a result. When questioned about the performance of GOLDSTAR JEANIE (1) co trainer S EVANS informed the Stewards that GOLDSTAR JEANIE had been working well and while disappointed with the performance he would have the chiropractor look over his runner and return GOLDSTAR JEANIE to the trials prior to racing next. |
| Race 2 | NZRS Novice Racing Series Heat - NZRSq - 520 Heat 2 | MCJOPSON (6) and TEPIRITA SNOOP (7) were hampered early when NERO HAKA (8) shifted inwards shortly after jumping. MCJOPSON ran wide at the first turn . MAGIC EMILY (2) and NERO HAKA made firm contact rounding the first bend . At the end of the back straight MITCHELL DEAN (1) was tightened between runners and lost momentum and ground.TOKEN RAY (4) was unbalanced rounding the final turn when making firm contact on two occasions with SILVIA SUE (3). |

Into the first turn WIGMORE (2) made firm contact with TOKEN KAY which was unbalanced and lost ground. CHERRY CRUSHER (5) checked off the heels of OPAWA ROMEO (7) and was unbalanced running wide rounding the turn . Shortly there after WIGMORE and COURT THE BELLE (3) jostled for a distance rounding the bend . SAN SEBASTIAN ran very wide on the first bend losing considerable ground . |
