Weather: Fine
Track: Good Due to the substantial amount of rain the area had received, the drains began to over flow following the completion of race 12 resulting in surface water. However, with the assistance of track staff the water had reseeded prior to race 13. All equipment function well throughout the meeting.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainers J. Clarke and W. Kite along with Kennel Steward L.Fowlie were spoken to advisedly and reminded of their obligations that the correct number is placed on their respective dogs.
ANOTHER ANOTHER was stood down for 28 days under Rule 64.5 after being scratched without valid reason after being cleared of any injury or illness by the Veterinarian. An inquiry was opened and adjourned into the circumstances of the scratching of ANOTHER ANOTHER.

Race 1	ABSOLUTELY ELECTRICAL C0 - C0 - 305	COSMIC SALLY after being slow away from the boxes, settled at the rear and after improving along the rail, won well. OPALESCENT ran wide rounding the bend forcing ADVANCED PEDRO and HERMIONE BAXTER over extra ground. ADVANCED PEDRO(Fav) which performed below market expectation was referred to the Veterinarian and found to be suffering from pain in both wrists with a 21-day stand down recommended.
Race 2	HARRISON HIRE MASTER C0 - C0 - 520	Favourite GOLDSTAR BOMBER began awkwardly and settled toward the rear of the field. JASPER HAKA was slow to begin. VARGA FROST when leading shifted out rounding the first bend into the line of OPAWA CHRIS which was forced outwards, resulting in crowding to GOOTIME KATE which lost ground and BEHEMOTH which was forced over extra ground. Shortly after, OPAWA CHRIS and WORKING MIDNIGHT came togther and bumped with WORKING MIDNIGHT becoming unbalanced and losing its footing. WORKING MIDNIGHT lost several lengths as a result and finished at the rear of the field.
Race 3	J P PRINT(PETONE) C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH VERONA began awkwardly and settled back. Favourite BOSTON BLAZE was a little slow to begin and approaching the first bend when searching for clear racing room, shifted in and hampered BAD WEEK which clipped that runners heel and lost ground coming back onto the trailing CALM BROOKE which was hampered. DEATHSTAR which was racing adjacent to the rail was crowded briefly. BOSTON BLAZE shifted out rounding the turn in search of clear racing room and had to check off the heels of NO NO ROMEO losing valuable momentum at that stage of the race.
Race 4	CROMBIE LOCKWOOD (NZ) LTD C1 - C1 - 520	KWASANT was the slowest away from the boxes. CAWBOURNE KIM was crowded rounding the first bend when several runners shifted in at the point of the bend. BILLY HOLMES shifted out and bumped with MCJOPSON which became unbalanced briefly and lost ground. MADAM ICE was inclined to shift ground outwards throughout the final straight.
Race 5	PALAMOUNTAINS SCIENTIFIC NUTRITION C2 - C2 - 305	YALDHURST EDWARD lost its footing briefly on jumping away. CAWBOURNE BANKSY had to steady off the heels of KIRIBATI GIRL rounding the bend and shortly after SHOWEM BABY which was racing on the inner shifted out and forced CAWBOURNE BANSKY over extra ground.
Race 6	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS C1 - C1 - 520	TEPIRITA TUITEKA was slow to begin. Shortly after jumping away, SYDENHAM OPAL shifted in crowding I'M A CATCH in onto TOXIC REVENGE. NOSE WHITE shifted out abruptly rounding the first bend making heavy contact with I'M A CATCH and SYDENHAM OPAL with both runners becoming unbalanced for a short distance. Favourite DUTCHESS QUEEN which led rounding the final bend, was inclined to shift out throughout the final straight covering extra ground.
Race 7	WANGANUI SECURITY C3 - C3 - 305	AZURE DREAMS shifted in on jumping away crowding HOMEBUSH BUFFY, QUEEN COBRA and SPRINKLES. BENNY'S ANGEL shifted out rounding the bend making contact with the hindquarters of MY LITTLE OAH which lost ground. FIRE BOY BAXTER shifted out entering the home straight forcing SPRINKLES wider on the track.
Race 8	THE ROCK 95.2FM C2 - C2 - 520	GAY THORLEY raced wide rounding the first bend. TIME FOR WHAT had to steady along the back straight when improving up onto the heels on TIFINO.
Race 9	WANGANUI CHRONICLE C2/3 - C2/3 - 520	BIT COIN shifted in abruptly shortly after jumping away forcing CHECK THE MAIL into the line of BOTANY KEVIN and GOLDSTAR BELLA who both lost ground and settled at the rear. OPAWA MIDNIGHT ran wide rounding the first bend forcing GOLDSTAR BELLA over extra ground. GOLDSTAR BELLA shifted out across the heels of EMMA MARIE entering the home straight and ran home nicely to finish fourth at the line.
Race 10	KEENAN CONCRETE C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	CAWBOURNE PHILLIP shifted in across the heels of NO UNDIES SUNDY rounding the first bend and brushed that runners hindquarters. EMBEE DEE was crowded and lost ground approaching the final bend when racing between EL JETTA and INDIANA IZMIR who improved up on the rail and shifted out. HELLO ELLO was referred to the Veterinarian at the request of trainer B Johnston and was cleared of any injury.
Race 11	INTERISLANDER SUMMER FESTIVAL C4 - C4 - 305	WINNING KNOCKA was crowded approaching the first bend when SHE'S TOP NOTCH shifted out. Also hampered was JILL SPRITE which was trailing.
Race 12	HAPPY NEW YEAR C5 - C5 - 305	ANOTHER COLT was slow to begin and settled at the rear of the field. LITTLE RASCAL was crowded and lost ground approaching the first bend between EXPONENTIAL LILY which shifted out and COSMIC FURY which shifted in.
Race 13	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	GOLDSTAR JEANIE was crowded approaching the bend when TANYBRYN shifted in on the point of the bend. Alos hampered was ALL TOO HARD which was trailing. Shortly after REBEL CITY shifted out and had to check off the heels of TANYBRYN with the trailing GOLDSTAR JEANIE and ALL TOO HARD having to take evasive action.
Race 14	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	GENIA HAKA and RED HOT DUTCH improved up onto heels approaching the first bend and had to steady. MRS. BOUQUET raced in restricted room rounding th bend and shortly after became awkwardly placed on heels, shifting out abruptly and forcing GENIA HAKA and ASCHENPUTTEL over extra ground.
Race 15	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	CHARLIE'S PAL shifted in abruptly on jumping away hampering PETRA HAKA, HILTON FRIDAY, FLAYOSC and MADDIE BRAND which lost several lengths. Rounding the bend, SHINY UPSOME improved up onto the heels of MADDIE BRAND which lost its footing briefly.
Race 16	C2 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 305	RIBA LORDA raced in restricted room along the back straight and approaching the bend was crowded when HOMEBUSH RICK shifted in.
