| Race 1 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Maiden Series Heat 1 - C0q - 457 Heat 1 | SASSY ROAD ( fav-- 1st NZ start ) was first away to a clear early lead , he was headed nearing the home turn going back to 3rd in the running SASSY ROAD balanced up finishing best in the concluding stages for a narrow win racing in to the first turn WALLACE LAD and LEROY JETHRO came together, LEROY JETHRO became unbalanced making the bend awkwardly losing ground, MIDNIGHT LOAFA raced widest in to and across the top bend Sassy road was referred to the vet for assessment as a precaution with no abnormalities found |
| Race 2 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Maiden Series Heat 2 - C0q - 457 Heat 2 | DIRECTOR VANCE began awkwardly stumbling for a stride, soon after FORTIS FLYER raced across on to COOL FOOT LUKE who bumped AMBILIGHT inwards , making the turn to the first bend FORTIS FLYER was checked as he ran in to AMBILIGHT with LOO LOO BLUE angling in from wider out, FORTIS FLYER caught heels and went back several lengths. DIRECTOR VANCE angled wide in to the first turn losing ground running widest across the top bend. |
| Race 3 | The Clubhouse Sports Bar Series Heat 1 - C1q - 457 Heat 1 | LEGAL AID was slow away and was unable to get in to contention there after, racing in to the first turn RUSHIN DOLL was forced to check off heels ,she ran outwards in to the racing line of PADDY BAXTER checking this runner who lost several lengths back to the rear and was unable to get back in to contention there after |
| Race 4 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Maiden Series Heat 3 - C0q - 457 Heat 3 | WORKING IT and THRILLING DYLAN were slowest away ,THRILLING DYLAN made very good ground there after to finish in to 3rd placing at the line, WORKING IT never got in to contention there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line . WORKING IT was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found As the field jumped away from the start APPLAUSE ran outwards bumping in to ACAPELLA who ran in to BEMEOTH as this runner angled inwards, ACAPELLA almost lost her footing in behind for a stride or so As NASTY BIZO BOI jumped away from box 5 BEMEHOTH inside him began awkwardly stumbling outwards as THRILLING DYLAN came in , it appeared that NASTY BIZO BOI may have marred BEMEMOTH after reviewing the tape it was unclear as to wether NASTY BIZO BOI had made contact with BEMEMOTH . The Stewards showed the film to Trainer P Lowen of the start with the Stewards concerns , P Lowen made some fair comments in regards to the start from the boxes ,the Stewards determined that this being the dogs first start and the other factors no further action was taken excepting that the dog was vetted as a precaution where no abnormalities were found |
| Race 5 | Te Awamutu Self Storage Maiden Series Heat 4 - C0q - 457 Heat 4 | CABMAN'S FLYER was slow away by several lengths and never got in to contention there after finishing several lengths in the rear at the line, he was referred to the vet for assessment Racing to the first bend VINNIE BAXTER on the outer of DORO FOOT was checked and fell as SUMMIT ROCK improved on his outer angling inwards ,VINNIE BAXTER recovered to his feet to finish to the post a fair way behind the rest of the field, he was referred to the vet for assessment |
| Race 6 | The Clubhouse Sports Bar Series Heat 2 - C1q - 457 Heat 2 | racing to the first turn BOTANY JUNCTION came across pushing BENGHAZI in on to PIRATE LORE and DIVA RHODE, these runners all tightened and jostled for some strides with HAIR HE IS coming back on them as BOTANY JUNCTION got to the lead crossing to the rail , in behind HELL FIRE was checked and lost ground as JOHNNY RITZA angled inward behind runners . |
| Race 7 | The Clubhouse Sports Bar Series Heat 3 - C1q - 457 Heat 3 | This race started approx. 4 minutes late due to the harness meeting In the run to the first turn TEN POINT ONE came out as TOXIC REVENGE angled inwards resulting in ANDREW'S OSTI and PEDRO FORCE being severely tightened back, soon after racing in to the first turn CHEVY IMPALA crossed inwards sharply tightening TOXIC REVENGE in on to TEN POINT ONE with THRILLING BERT directly in behind forcing SYDENHAM OPAL on to PEDRO FORCE who was severely checked losing almost 10 lengths ANDREW'S OSTI was also checked at this point losing ground, PEDRO FORCE balanced up and chased the field hard to catch the rear bunch nearing the home turn where he was checked again by TEN POINT ONE, PEDRO FORCE lost momentum and more ground finishing in the rear at the line . PEDRO FORCE was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found |
| Race 8 | Palamountains Nutrition Waikato Classic Heat 1 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 1 | This race was delayed 1 minute at the request of race day control racing in to the first turn MARIAH angled inwards tightening KATCHA FIRE in on to CARAT'S PRINCE and BLUE AND CURLY, CAWBOURNE RAVE in behind was checked as these runners came back, all these dogs lost a fair amount of ground and were unable to get back in to contention there after. |
| Race 9 | Palamountains Nutrition Waikato Classic Heat 2 - R/Aq - 457 Heat 2 | Soon after the start FALSE NOTION and BLITZING MAYHEM ran in to each other, racing in to the first turn BLITZING MAYHEM and FALSE NOTION both angled inwards resulting in THRILLING BRAVE being forced on to heels losing several lengths, as he went back THRILLING BUTCHA on the outer was checked as CHARLEY FARLEY between runners attempting to hold his ground was pushed out on to him ,THRILLING BUTCHA lost momentum and some ground running on strongly in the run home in to 3rd placing at the line WHATS UP GEE was represented to the vet later in the meeting after there were concerns with possible blood in his urine with a 7 day stand down imposed |
