Track: Good The track has recently been dressed with several loads of sand and was well presented and the meeting proceeded smoothly.

Judicial report: TROJAN TROY completed a satisfactory trial which was required under Rule 81.1.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C1 - C1 - 375	OPIE BOSSMAN and KNOCKA OFF TIME collided on jumping from the boxes and settled back. OPIE BOSSMAN made up ground well to finish in 3rd place but KNOCKA OFF TIME raced wide covering extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 2	Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH STING shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to TONGARIRO, OPAWA LEANNE, GENIA HAKA and JAGER and they all lost ground. OPAWA LEANNE, OFFENSIVE and COOL HEIR all raced wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground. HOMEBUSH STING was suspected to be in season following the race, was examined by the Vet who confirmed the season and the bitch was stood down for 28 days.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C1 - C1 - 375	FLAYOSC, KING'S SELECTION and BACKYARD QUEEN were slow to begin losing two lengths.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C1 Final - C1f - 375	TRIPLE AYE, ZAMADDIS LASS and IVA CUNNING PLAN were slow to begin losing two lengths. ENHANCER checked over the heels of IVA CUNNING PLAN on the bend and went back onto MASONYX. ZAMADDIS LASS shifted out on the bend and collided with ENHANCER and they both lost momentum.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photofinish C2 - C2 - 457	ANOTHER COURSE was awkwardly placed in restricted room between BIT COIN and UNO HEIDI going into the bend and went back onto TIME FOR WHAT. TIME FOR WHAT then shifted out abruptly and bumped OPAWA JAY onto CAWBOURNE KIM and all three lost ground in the incident.
Race 6	Marton Dash C2 - C2 - 375	WORKING WAIKATO and TRICKY HARRY bumped together on the bend and a short distance further on, WORKING WAIKATO checked over the heels of TRICKY HARRY and lost ground. CAWBOURNE ANNA was suspected to be showing signs of being in season following the race , was examined by the Vet who confirmed the season and the bitch was stood down for 28 days.
Race 7	www.racingdogs.co.nz C3 - C3 - 375	IT'S A DOLL shifted out from the start and hampered BOBS YOUR UNCLE, RAVEON and TIME FRAUD for a couple of strides. MICK MANIA and IT'S A DOLL bumped together for several strides going into the bend and they both lost three lengths. MICK MANIA suffered a toe laceration and was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request.
Race 8	Ashurst Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	All clear.
Race 9	Cloverlea Dash C4 - C4 - 375	The leader EVER SO HOPEFUL shifted in going into the bend and hampered UNO ALLEGRO which went back onto DECADO and BULET TOOTH TONY and they all lost ground.
Race 10	Shannon Dash C5 - C5 - 375	The start was delayed for 3 minutes at the request of Racing Control. YA LAUGHIN, ADDICTED and RED MOOVA HOOVA bumped together soon after the start and they lost ground and settled back. YA LAUGHIN and RED MOOVA HOOVA jostled together for a short distance on the bend and YA LAUGHIN was checked losing four lengths.
Race 11	Feilding Stakes C1 - C1 - 457	DOGGED DAN shifted in from the start taking UNO CHARM in and this resuted in crowding to MR. DARCI and GUCCI RUSH and these two jostled together for a short distance and eventually went back to the rear. DOGGED DAN was tightened between runners on the bend and was checked back to last where he stayed to the finish.
Race 12	Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	BOSTON CHANEL, SUPERIOR IZMIR, BIGTIME JET and CAWBOURNE TILLY were all slow to begin losing three lengths. SUPERIOR IZMIR recovered the best of the four and finished in 3rd place. GRADUATION was handy enough on the bend but was checked losing several lengths and he finished in 2nd last place.
