Track: Dead The track was inspected and despite very heavy rain the previous day and night was found to be in good racing condition.

Judicial report: Race 3 was abandoned - refer to official report.
Trainer J Lane was warned under Rule 72.5 for presenting a dog with faulty gear.

Race 1	www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C0 - 310	JASPER HAKA was slow to begin. Racing towards the bend WALDO HAKA has shifted in, hampering JASPER HAKA with both runners becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
Race 2	Brocklebanks Dry Cleaners Sprint - C1 - 310	BLUE HOBO bounded at the start and was slow to begin. Racing towards the bend QUE TEE PIX has shifted in, crowding and checking NEW INGILLTAB and CHURCHILL CHASER. The trailing BLUE HOBO was also impeded in this incident. Into the bend BLUE HOBO was held up and had to check off the heels of CHURCHILL CHASER. CHURCHILL CHASER and BLUE HOBO made firm contact racing into the final straight.
Race 3	Bramwell Scaffolding Stakes - C0 - 545	The start of this race was delayed officially 3 minutes at the request of Raceday Control. OPAWA DARK was very slow to begin. FLIP FLIPPA fell on the first bend and after recovering her feet ran back the reverse way towards the field. The lure was pulled up with approximately 100 metres to run. Stewards declared the race a no race under Rule 76.1 taking into consideration the welfare of the dogs.
Race 4	Roofing Solutions Stakes - C1 - 545	MISS ISABELLA was slow to jump. On the first turn SHADOW WOLF ran outwards and forced CAWBOURNE WAR wide on the track. SHADOW WOLF ran wide down the back straight.
Race 5	Green Island Barber Stakes - C2 - 545	MR JIMMY and LOCHINVAR CAMARO were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start MR JIMMY and LOCHINVAR CAMARO made firm contact. KNOW TASTE and MR JIMMY jostled for several strides racing towards the first bend with KNOW TASTE eventually having to shift ground outwards. OPAWA BART shifted out on the first bend forcing LOCHINVAR CAMARO very wide on the track. Further into the bend MR JIMMY checked out off heels taking ROCKY BAXTER wider on the track. LOCHINVAR CAMARO continued to race very wide down the back straight. Racing towards the final bend KNOW TASTE has clipped the rear of ROCKY BAXTER when attempting to improve along the rail resulting in both dogs losing ground.
Race 6	Speedprint Shop Sprint - C2 - 310	YALDHURST EDWARD was slow to begin with GORILLA ON DRUMS beginning awkwardly and getting back as a result. Racing towards the bend SPRINKLES has been clipped by BOTANY PETE losing considerable momentum. BOTANY PETE and WORD FOR WORD were both hampered in this incident.
Race 7	Pryde Engineering Sprint - C3 - 310	KERAMUS was slow to begin. Racing into the first bend BLACK TRIGGER has shifted ground inwards and clipped the back of BENNY'S ANGEL who has been brought down and fallen. BENNY'S ANGEL did complete the race with stewards ordering a post race veterinary examination of the dog. The subsequent examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 8	Phil Hammond Feature Stakes - C1 - 545	WINNIE WILLOW was very slow to begin with MR BARRY being slow away. In the run down the front straight on the first occasion MOON AND SEA shifted out making firm contact with DOLEUZE. Into the first bend JINJA RUBY has been checked and lost ground when ROBBIE shifted in towards the rail. As JINJA RUBY gave ground at this point both MR BARRY and DOLEUZE were hampered. Racing towards the back straight MOON AND SEA has shifted in checking OPAWA LUCKY and MR BARRY. Into the final bend DOLEUZE shifted in checking TEPERITA SNOOP who lost ground. Stewards ordered a post race veterinary inspection of JINJA RUBY which revealed no abnormalities.
Race 9	Brian Bagley Driver Licensing Stakes - C4 - 545	Racing into the first bend first bend BOTANY SEATON has shifted ground outwards off the heels of HOMEBUSH IRIS taking BOTANY KEVIN , OPAWA WEBBY and CRINITI'S very wide on the track with OPAWA WEBBY almost falling and losing it's chance. BOTANY SEATON raced in restricted room rounding the final bend.
Race 10	Merry Christmas Stakes - C5 - 545	CAWBOURNE PHILLIP shifted in abruptly shortly after the start checking KNOW CLASS and WILD GROVE. CAWBOURNE PHILLIP continued to shift ground inwards making contact with the running rail. OPAWA CASPER who lead early gave ground on the final turn eventually finishing in last placing.
Race 11	Roofing Solutions Sprint - C4 - 310	KNOW CHARITY was slow to begin.
Race 12	Racing Again Tuesday 14th January - C5 - 310	SOSAN was slow into stride. ROSCA was checked and lost ground shortly after the start when DYNAMIC BLACK shifted in. Racing into the bend DYNAMIC BLACK was buffeted between runners and became badly unbalanced losing considerable ground and it's chance in the race. WISE WONDER was hampered and lost ground as a result of this incident. Further in to the bend TWO WAYS has checked off the heels of ROSCA and in doing so has hampered WISE WONDER who lost some ground.
Race 13	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 310	DON'T CALL ME was slow to begin. DON''T CALL ME and CHARLES FREDERICK jostled for some distance in the run down the back straight.
Race 14	C1 Tiered Sprint - Tier 2 - 310	The collar was unable to removed from OPAWA HOG at start due to it being faulty. The starter was reminded of his obligations under Rule 72.5. Co trainer J Lane was issued a warning for presenting a dog with faulty gear under Rule 72.5. BAD WEEK was slow to begin with CALM SPIRIT slow through the early stages. Racing into the bend FIREMAN'S ROCKET has shifted out taking OPAWA IDOL wider on the track. DYNA FRIER and OPAWA IDOL have jostled for several strides rounding the final bend.
