| Race 7 | Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 520 | SMART COOKIE shifted in from the start and checked DOGGED MAN which settled back and stayed at the rear throughout the race. OPIE BOSSMAN was slow to begin losing two lengths. He then checked over the heels of RICH LIST on the home turn losing momentum and possibly the chance of finishing in 2nd place. |
| Race 8 | Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 305 | RED HOT DUTCH was jostled between POPSOME TAGS and BLUE RUSH soon after the start and a short distance further on, she appeared to became awkward in her galloping action and drifted back to finish several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment. RED HOT DUTCH was found to have shoulder pain. COYOTE CAUGHT YA shifted in going to the first corner and made firm contact with the rail losing four lengths. He was also referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury. BLACK TANK checked off the back of POPSOME TAG going into the bend losing two lengths. |

MIC PLAYER and CALAMITY SUE bumped together soon after the start and MIC PLAYER lost two lengths. BILLY BRAND checked over the heels of BLAIR NINETY going into the bend and shifted out onto TAIKOREA LASS and they both lost ground and finished in the last two places. |

REECE, HIGH CALIBRE, EXACT MASTER and MY BAD JONNY and they all lost varying amounts of ground. MR. REECE shifted in going into the bend and checked MY BAD JONNY which lost two lengths. |
