Weather: Fine
Track: Good The track was presented in a very good racing condition being well watered and groomed through out the meeting, all other equipment operated well through out the programme.
Scales: correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainer J McInerney jnr was concerned after several races that the Track may be unsafe due to a possible stone problem, The Stewards inspected the parts of the Track with Race day manager John Michael and discussed the issue with Caretaker John Doody ,there were no issues that the Stewards could see and in their opinion the track was safe, the meeting proceeded with out any further problems.
The Stewards spoke to race day manager John Michaels concerning the scales that need to be replaced due to once again not be reliable enough, Mr Michaels has assured the Stewards that the matter will be dealt with before the next meeting.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	From the jump LOST IN LIGHT angled across on to TOXIC REVENGE hampering this runner for a few strides, TOXIC REVENGE got to the lead soon after with LOST IN LIGHT making contact with his hind quarters again as SNOOKY BEAR angled inwards on to this runner. racing in to the first turn COME ON MICKEY came out off the rail forcing DEATHSTAR out on to MISSY SLOY, DEATHSTAR was tightened back to the rear ,soon after racing across the top bend DEATHSTAR made contact with the rail and stumbled when attempting to improve . Wider out in to the first turn MISSY SLOY came out under SNOOKY BEAR and BEEMOTH forcing these runners wide, OPALESCENT also ran wide on to the top bend but made good ground to finish in to 2nd placing at the line DEATHSTAR was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 2	Woodville Sprint C1 - C1 - 375	Racing to the first turn GROOVY SHANE raced across on to CHARMING CHUCK turning him sideways, GROOVEY SHANE went back catching the heels of CHARMING CHUCK and went back towards the rear, CHARMING CHUCK ran wide on to the top bend . GROOVEY SHANE drifted towards the home turn finishing several lengths in the rear at the line, he was referred to the vet for assessment. GROOVEY SHANE was found to be cleared of injury, Trainers B & G Attwood advised the Stewards that the dog has been retired from racing as from today.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C1 - C1 - 457	In the run to the first turn BOTANY DAVE raced across on to TEPERITA TUITEKA with OPIE BOSSMAN in behind being shuffled back towards the rear. OPIE BOSSAM crossed outwards over heels and when he attempted to improve he caught the hind quarters of TRIPLE AYE, both these runners were widest out
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C2 - C2 - 375	KAISER MAX ( fav ) went down on his nose at the start costing him a length or so, wider out ODE TO LIBERTY angled across sharply on to ALL TO HARD and LOCHINVAR BLAZE, COOL HEIR was tightened and checked back from between these runners, COOL HEIR ran in on to ALPINADOR, both runners jostled for a couple of strides losing some momentum. KAISER MAX after botching the start made good ground running on gamely for a close up 3rd placing at the line. ALPINADOR fell soon after the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photos C2 - C2 - 457	BIGTIME DASHER was awkwardly away from midfield , he recovered to get in to stride quickly and was never headed there after. As BIGTIME DASHER crossed the field to the rail UPAHUT CINDY angled outwards sharply through runners across the face of OPAWA JAY who ran in on to THAT'S KING soon after in to the first turn OPAWA JAY angled inwards again on to HOME BREWER both dogs were checked. Racing on to the top bend OPAWA JAY was held up behind HOME BREWER and TENKAY DOWN for a couple of strides. racing towards the home turn TENKAY DOWN ran out to avoid the heels of HOME BREWER forcing OPAWA JAY widest in to the home straight.
Race 6	Marton Dash C3 - C3 - 375	Racing away from the start SWAPAN ran across the face of CAPTAIN OSTI checking this runner, wider out WONG WAY SUSIE ran out bumping ADDICTED, soon after in to the first turn TRICKY HARRY came in on to ADDICTED and WONG WAY SUSIE who was turned sideways for a stride moving outwards resulting in HOMEBUSH HELL'S and TRICKY HARRY being forced out wide in to the top bend. Nearing the home turn ADDICTED ran across the heels of TRICKY HARRY and ran very wide in to the home straight.
Race 7	Ashurst Dash C4 - C4 - 375	BULET TOOTH TONY was first away and vying for the lead in the run to the first turn with STIFF DRINK,BOB'S YOUR UNCLE came across on to the shoulder of BULET TOOTH TONY checking him where he stumble slightly getting off balance and going back through the field where he received a fair amount of jostling and tightening between runners improving catching the back of RINGA DING and losing more ground. AUSTIN WANA from the wide box was only fairly away he raced around the outer across the top bend making good ground in to a handy position finishing a very handy 3rd placing at the line. BULET TOOTH TONY was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C5 - C5 - 375	In the run to the first turn REAL VAIN and DADDY LOWE came together, soon after DADDY LOWE drifted out to the rear finishing a margin in the rear at the line. DADDY LOWE was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 9	North Island Challenge Stakes Ht 1 (Group 2) - C5q - 457 Heat 1	There was no head on replay for this race Racing to the first turn BUCK ALEC and RILEY'S MATE were vying for the lead, RILEY'S MATE angled inwards forcing BUCK ALEC back on to his heels, BUCK ALEC fell with JANNIK running in to him, HOMEBUSH CHOPPER and SUPERIOR IZMIR were checked and ran out, OPAWA JED in behind skirted out around these runners making good ground wide out. BUCK ALEC regained his footing and did not finish being caught and taken for vet assessment JANNIK attempted to recover ground after the earlier incident but was unable to improve much finishing towards the rear and was referred to the vet for assessment.
Race 10	North Island Challenge Stakes Ht 2 (Group 2) - C5q - 457 Heat 2	RUSSELL HART weighed in at 35 kgs today -- 1.7 kgs down from his last race weight of 36.7 on 14-11-2013, Due to the scales not reading correctly after weighing several times the Stewards did not impose a fine penalty on this occasion as the correct weight could not be confirmed. RUSSELL HART was slowest away by several lengths, he ran widest in to and around the top bend covering a lot of extra ground during the running finishing 6th placing at the line. Racing in to the first turn SPEED LEGEND cut across the face of ATE TO MUCH in on to OPAWA SWEDE ,JINJARANGO ( fav ) on the inner was held up when tightened for racing room he was checked as PIGGY BACK pushed SPEED LEGEND and OPAWA SWEDE inwards. JINJARANGO made ground in to 4th placing at the line.
Race 11	NZRS Novice Final - NZRSf - 457	BACKYARD QUEEN began very awkwardly almost spreading herself losing all chance there after finishing a margin in the rear at the line. Racing in to the first turn THOU ROMEO and OPAWA HOG came together jostling for a couple of strides.
Race 12	Foxton Stakes C4 - C4 - 457	VIVA VANE began awkwardly from box 7 as did RIGS from box 5, RIGS was quickly in to stride cutting across the face of NECTAR, NONU NONU BOOM and LAUGHT LIKE SANTA. Racing in to the first turn THRILLING HAVOC angled inwards bumping in to OSTAPCHUK who lost momentum for a couple of strides, in behind LAUGH LIKE SANTA and NONU NONU BOOM were checked as VIVA VANE cut inwards to the rail ,these runners lost several lengths NECTAR, OSTAPCHUK and THRILLING HAVOC all raced widest in to and around the top bend, OTASCHUK finished well in the home straight for 3rd placing at the line.
