| Race 2 | Happy 50th Birthday Chris Phillips Dash - C3 - 295 | CLAREMONT PIZZAZ (6) ran sharply inwards in the back straight causing a severe checks to MR. BIG STUFF (4) and KETUT (5) with this pair losing their chances and running very wide into the home straight. BILLY MUGGINS (2) was then also tightened into the bend and lost ground. |

BANBIT (3) was checked and lost three lengths when racing on the outside of the pacemaking BOTANY KEVIN (1) on the first bend. OHOKA FRENCHI (8) was checked at the entrance to the back straight when attempting a run to the inside of BOTANY SEATON (7). Coverage of this race was interrupted due to a camera malfunction. |

| Race 5 | Christchurch Casino Feature - R/A - 520 | TODDY'S A FLYER (3), OPAWA MEZ (4) and VALIDATION (7) were the last trio on settling. OPAWA STRETCH (5) and the favourite DEANNE'S FANTASY (8) came together into the first bend with OPAWA STRETCH losing ground and DEANNE'S FANTASY being forced a touch wide and losing momentum. OPAWA MEZ and SPEEDY KAZZA (2) were both inconvenienced when avoiding OPAWA STRETCH as she lost ground. |
| Race 6 | Happy Birthday Peter Knowles Dash - C4 - 295 | MARMALADE SKIES (8) was the slowest from the traps. HOMEBUSH CHURRO (2) ran outwards in the early stages tightening KNOW WISDOM (3) and colliding with TAKE A TRICK (4). CAWBOURNE DASHER (6) then ran inwards making heavy contact with TAKE A TRICK with this pair dropping to the rear. TAKE A TRICK then ran inwards checking HOMEBUSH CHURRO. CAWBOURNE DASHER and TAKE A TRICK again found trouble on the home turn when well back. |
| Race 7 | David Emerson Consultancy Sprint - C5 - 295 | KNOW PRIDE (4) was a clear last on jumping. BELLWAVE (1) angled outwards into the bend checking BUTTERBEAN (3) who lost ground. This caused a terminal check to NOT A KNOW (6) with KNOW PRIDE also being inconvenienced. Early in the run home the pacemaking CAWBOURNE QUEEN (5) shifted down the track with GO HOUSIE (7) shifting ground outwards to avoid her. This caused a check to NIPPA MARY (8) who made contact with the hindquarters of GO HOUSIE and lost momentum. |
| Race 8 | racingdogs.co.nz Distance Feature - C2d - 645 | KNOW REVENGE (3) was slowest from the traps. BOB'S EYE (4) and LOCHINVAR CAMARO (5) both ran outwards in the early stages causing ULTIMATE DREAM (6) and PINDARI (7) to be tightened. The favourite JINJA POWER (8) then ran inwards making solid contact with PINDARI. JINJA POWER was then forced to race very wide around the first bend. LOCHINVAR CAMARO ran wide in the back straight again forcing JINJA POWER over extra ground. |
| Race 9 | Hampden Tavern Stakes - C5 - 520 | In a straggly start KNOW ATTEMPT (2), OPAWA WEBBY (3), favourite RAW ENERGY (5) and KNOW CLASS (7) settled in the rear group. RAW ENERGY ran inwards in the early stages contacting OPAWA WEBBY. Into the first bend KNOW CLASS angled inwards tightening RAW ENERGY who dropped to the rear. BRIGHTON BULLET (9) ran a touch wide around the first bend. |
| Race 10 | Flair Dash - C5 - 295 | ROQETTE (1) proved very difficult to box in this event. ZEBIDIAH (4) ran outwards in the early stages checking WANDY GAYLENE (5). ZEBIDIAH then angled back down the track checking PEARL'S BOY (3) who lost ground. WANDY GAYLENE ran inwards a few strides later and checked ZEBIDIAH. WANDY GAYLENE dropped out to last over the concluding stages with the vet reporting that she was suffering from mild cramp. |
| Race 11 | C.T.V. Stakes - C4 - 520 | PSEUDONYM (4) was last to jump. PSEUDONYM checked off the back of OPAWA NO EAR (5) on the first bend and ran outwards pushing BLACK EMILY (6) wider on to CHEVY CHEVELLE (7) with this pair losing many lengths. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295 | ROXY RASCAL (4) was dragged down into the first bend when in a handy position with this causing a number of runners to be checked with ISABELLE DOMAIN (3), WILL EXCITE (2) and ELKI (1) the worst affected. CAWBOURNE JELLY (6) checked off the back of AUSTIN WANA (9) on the home turn and lost two lengths. |
