Weather: Fine
Track: Good The meeting was held in very warm conditions, the track was very well presented watered and groomed through the programme, all other equipment worked well.
Scales: Correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: The Schofield kennels were reminded that the WGRC rules are for catchers for 375 m races and they need to have enough staff to handle the amount of runners they have in the future.

Race 1 Hautapu Veterinary Clinic Sprint - C4 - 375 THIS IS SWIP led the field to nearing the home turn, she raced out towards the centre of the track losing her advantage finishing in 5th placing at the line. URBAN COMBAT was forced to race widest on to the bend covering a fair amount of extra ground through out. THIS IS SWIP was referred to the vet for assessment as a precaution where no abnormalities were found.
Race 2 Te Awamutu Self Storage Sprint - C0 - 375 OBI WAN KENOBI dwelt slightly at the start, he recovered to be quickly in to stride in to a handy position. QUEEN OF MEAN ran on to the back of KISS THE BLARNEY racing in to the first turn, both runners lost a couple of lengths. QUEEN OF MEAN was referred to the vet at the Trainers request with a webbing injury a 14 day stand down was imposed.
Race 3 YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C1 - 375 NIGHT PEARL was up 2.5 kgs on her previous race start on the 12-8-13. TAPU BOY slipped in behind on leaving the boxes, soon after he was hampered for a couple of strides as WHERE'S THE CAT came across on to TAPU BOY jostling him for a couple of strides, soon after TAPU BOY checked outwards across heels losing several lengths to the rear he never improved there after finishing several lengths last at the line. TAPU BOY was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 4 Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Sprint - C1 - 375 As the field got away from the start SHEZA FOOLING ran out sharply across the face of BIT ROSO and HELL FIRE. Racing in to the first turn COOL TIME ran on to the back of SHEZA FOOLING, COOL TIME went back through the field to the rear. Racing across the top bend ON THE HOUSE went out very wide, being widest in to the home straight covering a fair amount of extra ground finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 5 Greyhounds North Graduation Distance - C1d - 650 In the run to the post first time INDI RHODE came across on to CAWBOURNE PENNY and PEGEON APPEAL these runners jostled for several strides, CAWBOURNE PENNY was squeezed back to the rear and raced in that position through out.
Race 6 Fond Foods Ltd Sprint - C2 - 375 Racing in to the first bend BELRANI was forced out wide as MONTY DOSH raced through on her inner, BELRANI raced widest across the top bend in to home straight finishing in the rear bunch at the line. Racing in to the home straight TIME TO FIND , UNCLE ROMILLY and TRICKY GALE came together racing tightly, UNCLE ROMILLY was tightened in between runners losing a length.
Race 7 MTA Gift Vouchers Stakes - C1 - 457 This race was put back 3 minutes at the request of Race day control due to other commitments. All clear
Race 8 Palamountains Nutrition Stakes - C2 - 457 HANDS OFF ( first NZ start ) was only fairly away from box 6 he raced to the lead heading in to the bend and was never headed there after. WHIRLY RALSTON a form runner was checked soon after the start as SHELBY KING angled sharply inwards, WHIRLY RALSTON went back to the rear, he and VERY CHILLY bumped checking each other racing in to the first turn. WHIRLY RALSTON never recovered to get in to contention there after finishing well back at the line . WHIRLY RALSTON was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 9 Sergio @ Stud Sprint - C5 - 375 Racing in to the first turn THRILLING NINJA and RUN STACEY RUN were racing tightly together, both runners were hampered losing momentum for several strides.
Race 10 0800 4 Down Cow Stakes - C4/5 - 457 All clear
Race 11 Clubhouse Sports Bar Sprint - C5 - 375 PREDATOR DRONE from box 1 attempted to cross outwards soon after the start, she was held in by other runners until the first turn where she got out wide covering a fair amount of extra ground there after. REAL VAIN set a good pace in the early stages spreading the field out, he could not withstand the strong finish in the run home of THRILLING EDGE winning in a very fast time. LORD WILL was found to have a cut to his left hind on returning to the kennel block and was referred to the vet for assessment with a 7 day stand down imposed.
Race 12 All Sew Embroidery Stakes - C3 - 457 On getting away from the start LOCHINVAR SONIC angled outwards as THRILLING TREMOR ran in forcing ON TREY in on to COAL SACK and CHARLEY FARLEY checking these runners, WABI SABI was checked a couple of strides on as he came out towards the middle of the track running in to CHARLEY FARLEY as THRILLING TREMOR pushed him inwards. Racing in to the first turn COAL SACK was checked as CHARLEY FARLEY crossed to the rail, COAL FACE went back a few lengths and ran on well in the home straight in to 6th placing at the line.
