Track: Good The track was well prepared and presented but following race three, the Curator elected to do some additional grooming due to having some slight concerns regarding the paw marks which were developing. The meeting then proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH SAXON and OUR JACK ATTACK were slow to begin and settled back. HOMEBUSH SAXON recovered well to finish in 3rd place. COME ON MICKEY galloped on the back of LITTLE VAMPIRE soon after the start and they both lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in the rear group.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	JELLY GEM and WORKING PIZZAZ bumped together soon after the start and they lost two lengths. KING'S SELECTION and BOOMERANG MAN came together and jostled losing a length going into the bend and MADAM ICE which was following was also affected and lost ground.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 Final - C0f - 305	CASSIE HAKA shifted in going to the first corner and crowded TOXIC REVENGE onto THIS TIME PEDRO and they went back onto SHELDON BAXTER with all three losing three lengths. THIS TIME PEDRO, SMIRNOFF and TOXIC REVENGE raced very wide in the approach to the home turn and down the straight.
Race 4	Palamountains Nutrition C0 - C0 - 520	The start of this race was delayed by 2 minutes to enable extra track grooming to take place. WEE TERRA and NO MORE LAUGHTER jostled together for some distance in the race to the first corner.
Race 5	Morrie Gibbons Signs C0 - C0 - 305	CEDRIC BAXTER shifted in from the start and hampered OPALESCENT which lost a length. ZEE BRUGGE shifted in a short distance after the start and checked ICED HONEY which lost two lengths. HOMEBUSH RIGBY shifted in going to the first corner and crowded CEDRIC BAXTER which was forced in causing a check to ZEE BRUGGE which lost two lengths.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	TEPIRITA TUITEKA was slow to begin losing two lengths. GUCCI RUSH was awkwardly placed between RICH LIST and PATS ALL ROUND going to the first corner and was checked losing two lengths. The leader NOSE WHITE shifted in going into the final bend and checked BUSTER BOY which lost two lengths.
Race 7	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	TOBY'S TERRA and NO NO ROMEO were slow to begin losing two lengths. NO NO ROMEO galloped on the back of JOLOKIA on the bend and JOLOKIA went off stride a short distance further on and drifted back to finish a long last and was referred to the Vet for assessment with a suspected hock injury.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 520	HOMEBUSH NOS shifted in going to the first corner and crowded CHARMING CHUCK which then checked over the heels of GAY THORLEY and shifted out forcing BELLE CADEAU wide into the bend and they both lost ground. KINGS LEGACY seemed to be galloping short in its action early in the race and was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 9	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	FOUND ROMAN and KNOCKA OFF TIME were the two slowest to begin and settled back. FOUND ROMAN then shifted in going into the bend and crowded KNOCKA OFF TIME which checked losing two lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	OPAWA STU was slow to begin and settled at the rear. OPAWA STU never appeared to be striding out freely and drifted off the back of the field and finished several lengths last, was referred to the Vet for assessment and cleared of injury.
Race 11	Gary Ross Decorator C1 - C1 - 305	OKUKU BOBO was handy in the race to the first corner but then drifted back through the field and finished several lengths last and he was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a gracilus injury. MAC TAN also appeared awkward in its galloping action on the bend and was also referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have a toe abrasion.
Race 12	Christmas At The Races 6th-13th-20th December C1 - C1 - 305	OPAWA GIFT went up with the box lids losing four lengths. LAVENDER SAL drifted off the back of the field from the first corner and finished several lengths last and was referred to the Vet for assessment.
