Weather: Raining
Track: Dead The track was presented in a good racing condition, it started raining before race one for the first half of the programme. The track was well groomed through the racing.
Scales: correct at all weights
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Race 1 was abandoned after the lids opened before the lure arrived ,the field raced around to the finishing area and were returned to the kennel block for vetting with no injuries found .
The dogs had already run 375m so a rerun was not possible .
The boxes were rechecked and a fault was found with the sensor, possibly due to the heavy rain that fell prior to race one
The sprint races were hand started as a precaution for the remainder of the programme.
Just prior to race 4 the Starter advised the Stewards that the problem was occurring with the sensor at this starting point, these races were also hand started for the remainder of the programme.
The club will be checking the electrics before the next meeting.

Race 1	Affordable Pet Accessories Sprint - C0 - 375	The box lids opened before the lure reached the sensor to activate the lids The field raced around the track to the finish . The race was abandoned with the dogs not being required for a restart COAL SHUTTLE fell during the running due to interference and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found The rest of the field were checked by the vet as they returned to the kennel block with no abnormalities found
Race 2	Greyhounds as Pets @ Karapiro Sprint - C1 - 375	From the jump BELRANI, OPAWA STU , LUCKY LUCKY LUCK, and THRILLING CARTER (fav ) all came together for a stride or so. BUBBLE OSTEE ran wide in to and on to the top bend. On the home turn OPAWA STU brushed the rail losing momentum for a stride or so dropping out to last in the running at the line OPAWA STU was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found
Race 3	YGOT Bonus Scheme Sprint - C2/3 - 375	Soon after the start WHERE'S THE CAT cut across sharply on to PENO BOY, OTEWA BELLA, CASH KNOCKA and HOT POOTIE, all these runners were checked. On the home turn OTEWA BELLA, CASH KNOCKA and WHERE'S THE CAT were tightened together as HOT POOTIE raced around angling inwards, OTEWA BELLA made hard contact with the rail, CASH KNOCKA lost momentum. OTEWA BELLA dropped out to several lengths last at the line and was referred to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 4	Superior Chunky Dog Rolls Stakes - C1 - 457	Racing in to the first turn IKE JONES was checked as MIC PLAYER angled inwards towards the rail, IKE JONES went back several lengths, JUDGE TO EXCEL was forced to check back off the heels of IKE JONES losing several lengths back to the rear. This start was hand started as there was a problem at the starting point with the sensor that the starter picked up before the dogs were loaded.
Race 5	MTA Gift Vouchers Sprint - C1 - 375	From the jump BOSS APPEAL bumped DIAMOND WOK in on to TAPU BOY, a couple of strides on BOSS APPEAL angled inwards pushing TAPU BOY sideways for several strides, TAPU BOY lost a length or so checking off the heels of BOSS APPEAL, DIAMOND WOK was forced to check off the heels of BOSS APPEAL as this runner crossed to the rail . DIAMOND WOK angled outwards on to the bend forcing TAPU BOY wide across the top bend, these two dogs covered a lot of extra ground there after finishing well in the rear at the line.
Race 6	The Clubhouse Sports Bar Stakes - C4/5 - 457	As the field got away from the start FANCY IDOL, ZAGATO, FANCY JILL and THRILLING LOGIC all came together jostling and bumping for several strides Racing in to the first turn MAGICO and GHOST WRITER cut across the face of the field towards the rail severely checking BORNATO who was almost stopped in his tracks ,he went back checking THRILLING LOGIC ( fav ) who lost a few lengths at this point ,THRILLING LOGIC recovered well to make ground in to 2nd placing at the line. BORNATO lost a lot ground in the early incident and was unable to get in to the race there after finishing in the rear at the line.
Race 7	Palamountains Nutrition Sprint - C4/5 - 375	AGENT VAN ALDEN was slowest away being hampered losing a couple of lengths as REAL VAIN angled across . Racing in to the first turn EXPLOSIVE OSTI and RUBY TRON jostled for several strides, UNO LACHLAN raced in to the first turn angling inwards forcing CALAMITY FREE in on to FEEL THE VIBE, AGENT VAN ALDEN and RUBY TRON, AGENT VAN ALDEN and RUBY TRON ran wide there after on to and around the top bend in to the home straight both dogs covered a lot of extra ground, AGENT VAN ALDEN and RUBY TRON made good ground in the run home to finish in 4th and 5th placings at the line.
Race 8	0800 4 Down Cow Series Final - C1f - 457	From the boxes JINJA JAM away well cut inwards across the face of the field causing tightening in behind to WHIRLY RALSTON, MISS APOCALYPSE, TEEGZ, and CAWBOURNE PENN. In the run in to and around the bend MULICAM LAD raced around the outer of JINJA JAM to the lead ,MRS PUNTING ( fav) on the rails in behind JINJA JAM ran on to the heels of JINJA JAM and stumbled losing her footing in behind for a stride or so, MRS PUNTING lost several lengths back to midfield. MULTICAM LAD was the leader in to the home straight and looked the winner until halfway down when he shortened stride finishing in 3rd placing at the post ,a few strides on MULTICAM LAD stumbled with the back runners running in to him causing him to fall with MRS PUNTING falling over top of him . MULTICAM LAD and MRS PUNTING recovered their footing to finish on to the lure ,both dogs were referred to the vet for assessment. MULTICAM LAD was showing signs of cramp as he came back to the kennel block ,he condition improved after cooling down and was cleared by the vet as was MRS PUNTING with no abnormalities found.
Race 9	All Sew Embroidery Stakes - C3 - 457	as The field jumped away GUNDABOOKA, VIVA VANE and MAGIC FANCY all bumped, VIVA VANE was checked and tightened back from between these runners, soon after in the run to the first turn GUNDABOOKA angled across forcing TRILESE on to MAHALO RHODE checking this runner back, a stride or so on LOCHINVAR SONIC raced across tightening MAGIC FANCY, TRILESE, and ON TREY inwards, MAHALO RHODE and COAL SACK were checked as runners came back on them . VIVA VANE after being checked soon after the start angled out wide racing around to the lead and was never headed there after.
