| Race 2 | I Pave Concrete Dash - C3 - 295 | MR. BIG STUFF (4) ran outwards as PURE AND SPECIAL (9) ran inwards soon after the jump resulting in this pair colliding and WAIMAK DAVE (5) being badly checked in between them and dropping to the rear. Early in the run home JUMPIN' JULIA (1) angled outwards to obtain clear room and pushed WANDY FEATHER (2) wider on the track. |
| Race 3 | Thursday Place Pick Stakes - C2 - 520 | ROCKY BAXTER (7) and OKUKU DREAMER (8) were the last pair at the jump. In the run down the straight MEGA REXY (4) ran inwards pushing MR. JIMMY (2) down the track on to HUSTLER AMBITION (1) who was checked. Into the first bend GIRL RACER (5) angled inwards checking MEGA REXY who lost a length. Soon after HUSTLER AMBITION shifted outwards slightly as MR. JIMMY was angling inwards resulting in both dogs being turned sideways and HUSTLER AMBITION falling. The trailing MEGA REXY was unable to avoid this runner and also fell. Both fallers were referred to the vet for assessment. |
| Race 4 | Garden City Chem-Dry Sprint - C3 - 295 | GEORGIE WONG (3) shifted up the track in the back straight causing checks to TAIERI PLAINS (5) and CAWBOURNE PLUNGE (7). into the bend CAWBOURNE PLUNGE ran inwards checking TAIERI PLAINS who dropped to the rear. The pacemaking BUSINESS PLAN (1) ran wide on the home turn losing several lengths. |
| Race 5 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 1 - C5q - 520 Heat 1 | BONE NERD (8) was last to jump. Into the first bend MERCENARY (7) who was handy to the pace checked off the heels of CHARLIE'S CHOICE (6) and stumbled losing ground. BONE NERD then checked MERCENARY as this dog was drifting with MERCENARY dropping out to a long last. MERCENARY was referred to the vet for assessment. |
| Race 6 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 2 - C5q - 520 Heat 2 | DRYSDALE (3) and JINJARANGO (7) were the last pair on jumping. ATE TO MUCH (1) angled outwards into the first bend causing a severe check to RILEY'S MATE (5) who dropped to the rear. DRYSDALE was forced wide to avoid this runner with JINJARANGO being checked and sent even wider around that bend. RILEY'S MATE was found to have superficial cuts to his feet but no stand down was considered necessary. |

GLASSES UP (4) was tightened into the first bend and ran outwards pushing INDIANA IZMIR over extra ground. OPAWA JED (3) raced in restricted room on the home turn and failed to clear a pocket in the home straight finishing full of running. |
| Race 8 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 4 - C5q - 520 Heat 4 | OPAWA NO EAR (7) settled at the rear in the early stages. LOCHINVAR BRANDO (5) ran inwards in the initial stages pushing RETALIATE FIRST (4) down the track. |
| Race 9 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 5 - C5q - 520 Heat 5 | KNOW CLASS (5) was a clear last on jumping. HOMEBUSH CHOPPER (3) ran inwards in the early stages tightening CRINITI'S (2) and OPAWA SWEDE (1) on his inside. RIGS (8) and OPAWA LEGS (7) both ran wide into the first bend losing ground. OPAWA LEGS again lost ground into the next bend with Trainer Matt Roberts advising that further races at Addington will be restricted to sprints. |
| Race 10 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 6 - C5q - 520 Heat 6 | This race was delayed by two minutes due to an inquiry at the Cambridge harness meeting. FANCY TIP (4) stumbled for a stride in the initial stages. JAY CEE HURT (5) angled inwards tightening FANCY TIP and SPEED LEGEND (2) with this pair settling at the rear. PINK SOCK (1) angled outwards off the heels of WAYLEGGO (7) into the first bend pushing JAY CEE HURT and CAWBOURNE WITCH (6) over extra ground. |
| Race 11 | Buy Sell & Exchange NZ Cup Heat 7 - C5q - 520 Heat 7 | PINDARI (7) and INDI'S GRACE (8) were the last pair on jumping while RODRIGUEZ (5) and SPEEDY KAZZA (6) collided for a stride. BOSTON CHANEL (1) was desperate to get off the rail in the early stages and checked SPEEDY KAZZA, ANOTHER COLT (9) and INDI'S GRACE in the process. BOSTON CHANEL then ran very wide into the bend extinguishing her chance. PINDARI shifted down the track when finishing well over the concluding stages coming together with SPEEDY KAZZA just short of the line as that bitch angled outwards. |
| Race 12 | Speight's Sprint - C3 - 295 | GLENN IS GOODSEY (3) was tightened to the rear in the early stages. TURBO TUNDRA (4) angled inwards checking KIN NIKKI (2) soon after. MEMPHIS HOTCAKES (5) was badly checked into the bend and lost ground. |
