Weather: Fine
Track: Good The track was presented in good order but there were issues with paw marks on the bend past the winning post, paricularly later in the programme and this did require some remedial work prior to race 9. The meeting then proceeded without further problems and concluded 16 minutes behind the original last race start time.
Scales: Checked and correct
Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: A number of Trainers expressed concern regarding the paw marks in the track prior to the start of race 9 and as a result, the meeting was put back by one race for the remainder of the programme while the Curator carried out remedial work. Some Trainers then requested that the meeting be further delayed while water was applied but this request was rejected by the Steward as unnecessary and the meeting proceeded as per the amended time.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	SHEZA HUM DINGA began very awkwardly losing several lengths and she tailed the field throughout to finish in last place. KING'S SELECTION shifted out going to the first corner and hampered NOMINAL LILY and NOBLE POWER for a short distance. COME ON MICKEY checked over the heels of GOOGLE IT on the home turn and they both lost a little ground.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	TEPIRITA TIPPY was slow from the boxes losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. MISSY SLOY shifted out from the start and hampered BACKYARD QUEEN and SMIRNOFF. MISSY SLOY continued to attempt to shift out going to the first corner and jostled with BACKYARD QUEEN for some distance until going into the bend, she checked over the heels of BACKYARD QUEEN losing four lengths.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 Final - C0f - 520	The race started two minutes late at the request of Raceday Control. BIG SHARKIE began awkwardly losing four lengths and she stayed back throughout the race. BIGTIME SHARKIE was referred to the Vet at the Handlers request and cleared of injury. BIGTIME CHIP checked off the heels of KWASANT going into the last bend and lost a length. A few strides further on WESTERLY WIND was checked and also lost a length.
Race 4	Gary Ross Decorator C0 - C0 - 305	RANGER CHICK turned in the boxes losing several lengths and all chance and is now required to complete a satisfactory box trial under Rule 72.13 before next racing. TONGARIRO shifted out going to the first corner and hampered VERSATILE RICHIE and RUTHLESS which both lost ground. TONGARIRO checked over the heels of KICKIN' IT going into the bend and lost two lengths. VERSATILE RICHIE shifted out in the home straight and bumped KICKIN' IT which lost two lengths.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C1 - C1 - 305	SEDGEBROOK SKITE was slow away from the boxes losing two lengths. JUMPIN SALLY shifted in abruptly from the start and hampered ZAMADDIS LASS, YEAH NAH and ASCHENPUTTEL and they all lost ground. ASCHENPUTTEL recovered the best of those affected and finished in 3rd place.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	INNER BEAUTY and GUCCI RUSH came together and bumped soon after the start and INNER BEAUTY suffered the most losing three lengths and she stayed back throughout the remainder of the race to finish in last place.
Race 7	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	MAC TAN shifted out from the rail going into the bend and caused checks to WORKING WAIKATO and BOTANY DAVE which both lost two lengths. GO WITH IT shifted out and jostled with RAMESSEE for some distance in the home straight hampering that runner and RAMESSEE lost a length.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 520	DOLL PARTS was slow to begin losing three lengths and she then shifted out on the first bend making contact with DARBY LANE and they both lost momentum. DARBY LANE then recovered to make up a condierable amount of ground for 3rd placing while DOLL PARTS stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	The meeting was put back by one race prior to the Start of this event when Trainers were reluctant to race their dogs until remedial work was carried out due to paw marks in the track rendering it unsafe in their opinion. The Stewards inspected the track and requested that the Curator carry out some remedial work and the meeting then proceeded.without further problems. HOMEBUSH ENVY shifted in from the start and checked HIGH CALIBRE which lost ground. DODGY POCKETS galloped on the back of HIGH CALIBRE going into the bend and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	KAY ROAD and DRACO BAXTER were slow to begin and settled back. DRACO BAXTER was then checked going into the first corner losing further ground and he stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 11	Morrie Gibbons Signs C1 - C1 - 305	SEDGEBROOK LAD was slow away from the boxes losing two lengths. NO NO ROMEO and RIBA LORDA came together and tangled going into the first corner and NO NO ROMEO fell but was quickly back to his feet to finish onto the lure. RIBA LORDA and SEDGEBROOK LAD were badly hindered in the incident and both lost several lengths. NO NO ROMEO was referred to the Vet for assessment.
Race 12	Christmas At The Races 6th, 13th & 20th December C2 - C2 - 305	AZURE DREAMS shifted in from the start and BEV'S VIEWPOINT shifted out and this resulted in checks to WAIWHATA DREAM and GENIA HAKA which were racing in between. MIGHTY BAXTER was also affected in the incident and brushed against the rail for a couple of strides.
