Judicial report: The track was presented well for racing after a heavy downpour of rain last night with all equipment functioning well throughout the meeting.
This reported was complied by G Whiterod 1st 8 races and L Tidmarsh 2nd 8 races.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C0 - C0 - 305	HOMEBUSH FALINE, TIFINO, SECONDS GOOD and HUNTED all began a little awkwardly and settled back. TIFINO recovered the best of the four and made up ground well to win the race while the other three dogs stayed back to finish in the last three places. MISSY SLOY and DIRTY MINDS came together and bumped soon after the start and lost momentum for a couple of strides.` DIRTY MINDS was referred to the Vet at the Trainers request and stood down with a strained hock.
Race 2	Harrison Hire Master C0 - C0 - 305	MAGIC TOBIN shifted out abruptly from the start and raced wide in the back straight and around the bend over extra ground and finished in 6th place. SHEZA HUM DINGA and NOPEE were very slow to begin losing four lengths and they stayed back throughout the race to finish in the last two places.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C0 - C0 - 305	SMIRNOFF was slow to begin losing two lengths. TONGARIRO and GO MAX bumped together losing momentum near the first turn. A few strides further on, TONGARIRO checked off the heels of RANGER CHICK and they both lost two lengths.
Race 4	Gary Ross Decorator C0 Heat 1 - C0q - 520 Heat 1	KWASANT and BIG SHARKIE were very slow to begin and they were still at the rear going into the first bend. KWASANT then made up ground very well from there to go on and win the race.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C0 Heat 2 - C0q - 520 Heat 2	HARLEM HAKA was tightened between DISTASTEFUL and WESTERLY WIND when the start was made and he shifted out making contact with CHARMING CHUCK with both losing ground and settling back. DISTASTEFUL moved through on the inside of WESTERLY WIND going into the first bend checking that runner and also VINNY DOON and CHARMING CHUCK which were racing further out. CHARMING CHUCK and KING'S SELECTION collided on the home turn and KING'S SELECTION suffered the most losing two lengths.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C1 - C1 - 520	All clear.
Race 7	The Rock 95.2FM C1 - C1 - 305	MIGHTY MONICA shifted in from the start and caused checks to KNOCKA SLOY and HOMEBUSH DIAMOND and they settled at the rear. A few strides further on, MIGHTY MONICA hampered JUMPIN SALLY and she also lost ground but recovered to finish in 3rd place.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C1 - C1 - 520	JUDGE TO EXCEL had to check going into the first turn when UNO CHARM shifted inn abruptly onto his line and JUDGE TO EXCEL went back to the rear and never recovered.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C1 - C1 - 305	BILLY BRAND jumped inwards from the boxes making firm contact with KIRIBATI GIRL and as a result BILLY BRAND lost its footing and lost ground, settling at the rear of the field. Also affected were HOMEBUSH ENVY and MISS JOLT who were crowded for a short distance. JAGER shifted out across heels rounding the bend forcing CALMITY SUE and CAWBOURNE ANNA wider on the track. CALMITY SUE and CAWBOURNE ANNA never recovered from there onwards, finishing towards the rear.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C1 - C1 - 520	DARBY LANE was slow away from the boxes. BUSTER BOY began awkwardly making contact with MISS SARA. BUSTER BOY then angled inwards passing the post on the first occasion and crowded OPAWA ANNE and MISS SARA briefly.
Race 11	Morrie Gibbon Signs C1 - C1 - 305	HOMEBUSH ANABEL shifted in abruptly from the boxes crowding JOHN DORY, HIGH CALIBRE and SYDENHAM SAM for a short distance. SEDGEBROOK LAD was slow to begin. HOMEBUSH ANABEL had to steady off the heels of JOHN DORY rounding the bend and lost momentum. HOMEBUSH LESTAT ran wide entering the home straight forcing SEDGEBROOK LAD over extra ground. Favourite MISS MCFLY ran a little wide entering the home straight and over the final 50 metres was forced over extra ground when HIGH CALIBRE shifted out. MISS MCFLY lost momentum as a result finishing in 4th placing at the line.
Race 12	Christmas At The Race 6th-13th-20th December C1 - C1 - 305	SMART COOKIE and OPAWA JEN came together and bumped on jumping away. Shortly after SMART COOKIE shifted across and crowded both SMART COOKIE and OPAWA JEN with both runners losing ground. Shortly after the start, GROOVY SHANE shifted out marginally resulting in the trailing RANDOM ACT to clip that runners heels and lose ground. RANDOM ACT from there on was never able to recover and finished towards the rear of the field.
Race 13	C1 Renown Bakery - Tier 2 - 305	BLAIR NINETY from the outside box was slow to begin. OPAWA GIFT began awkwardly and was hampered shortly after when JOLOKIA shifted inwards abruptly in search of the lure. BLAIR NINETY improved up onto the heels of MONKEY QUEEN approaching the bend and lost momentum. Shortly after MONKEY QUEEN shifted out off heels and ran wide. CALM BROOKE clipped the running rail on several occasions rounding the bend and was referred to the Veterinarian where no injury was detected.
Race 14	C1 Wanganui Chronicle - Tier 2 - 305	ZIPPIT SWEETIE shifted out shortly after jumping away and bumped with SYDENHAM BUBBLES. Rounding the bend ACTUAL LILY angled wider and bumped with PETRA HAKA resulting in that runner becoming unbalanced and losing its footing for a short distance. PETRA HAKA lost a couple of lengths as a result and never recovered from there onwards.
Race 15	C1 Five Star Kennels - Tier 2 - 305	DRACO BAXTER shifted in shortly after jumping away crowding HOMEBUSH JULIE and HAIR HE IS briefly. Approaching the bend HOMEBUSH JULIE and HAIR HE IS raced in restricted room for a short distance after DRACO BAXTER shifted in. Shortly after DRACO BAXTER angled out checking RANDY OUTSIDE which lost ground. RANDY OUTSIDE which finished at the rear of the field was referred to the Veterinarian where no injury was detected.
Race 16	C2 www.racingdogs.co.nz - Tier 2 - 305	CALM RITA was slow to begin and settled at the rear of the field. PREFONTAINE raced in restricted room for a distance approaching the bend when runners to its outside shifted ground inwards at the point of the bend. As a result PREFONTAINE made heavy contact with the running rail and lost its footing infront, losing several lengths. PREFONTAINE finished the race off well however was referred to the Veterinarian as a procaution and was cleared of any injuries. ASCHENPUTTEL and CALM RITA came together and bumped rounding the bend resulting in CALM RITA becoming unbalanced briefly.
