Track: Good The track had recovered well after the very wet weather which caused the Wednesday meeting to be abandoned and with a good sized crowd in attendance to enjoy the racing, the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: DASHER RUM was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue the lure throughout in race 3 and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1.

Race 1	Absolutely Electrical C2 - C2 - 305	ODE TO LIBERTY shifted in abruptly from the start and caused checks to WAIWHATA DREAM, LOCKETT IN EDDIE and CAPTAIN OSTI and they all lost ground. LOCKETT IN EDDIE shifted out going into the bend forcing WAIWHATA DREAM onto the line of OPAWA PRINCE which went down behind losing several lengths. ASCHENPUTTAL was also affected in the incident . OPAWA PRINCE was referred to the Vet for assessment with a suspected wrist injury.
Race 2	Harrisons Hire Master C2 - C2 - 520	ANOTHER ANOTHER and FERGIE'S BELLE shifted in going into the first corner and tightened NOAKI HURRICANE which checked and went back to last and he stayed well back to finish in 6th place. CAWBOURNE KIM was bumped from the inside by THANKS CHARLIE as they raced into the first corner and CAWBOURNE KIM was pushed out to race wide on the bend and she stayed back for the remainder of the race.
Race 3	J P Print (Petone) C3 - C3 - 305	ALL THE RAGE, KAZILLION and THRILLING SQUEAL came together and bumped when the start was made and they lost ground and settled back. UNO GREEN shifted out going to the first corner and hampered HOMEBUSH RICK which lost a length. DASHER RUM led to the first corner but then did not chase with due committment and went back through the field to last before reaching the home straight where he then commenced to chase again and finished in last place. DASHER RUM was referred to the Vet for assessment, cleared of injury and was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for failing to pursue the lure throughout and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before next racing.
Race 4	Gary Ross Decorator C3 - C3 - 305	MY LITTLE OAH began a little awkwardly and settled back. FLIRT ACADEMY, ALL IN ALL and MEGA RUSH came together soon after the start and bumped for a couple of strides losing momentum. MEGA RUSH shifted out to race wide on the bend and into the straight covering extra ground and finished last.
Race 5	Palamountains Nutrition C3 - C3 - 520	RED CRYSTAL, HELLO ELLO and EL JETTA came together and jostled for a couple of strides and HELLO ELLO and RED CRYSTAL lost ground and settled well back and they were not able to make up any significant ground but EL JETTA recovered to win the race. WHAT'S UP GEE shifted in going into the first bend and checked EUNUCHS LUCK which lost ground and shifted out to race wide on the bend and he stayed back to finish at the rear.
Race 6	Mickey's Super Liquor C4 - C4 - 305	JACK'S FIRST and EXPLODABLE were slow to begin losing two lengths.. VICKI'S QUEST, MOODY MAN and FIERCE STAR bumped together going into the bend and lost momentum and EXPLODABLE who was following was also affected. A few strides further on EXPLODABLE was again checked when avoiding the heels of VICKI'S QUEST and he never recovered and finished in last place.
Race 7	The Rock 95.2FM C4 - C4 - 305	NONU NONU BOOM and HOMEBUSH BORIS were slow to begin losing three lengths and they stayed back throughout the race. FLYING FLYNN shifted in soon after the start and crowded JILL SPRITE and DARLEK KHAN. FLYING FLYNN again shifted in going into the bend and again caused crowding to DARLEK KHAN which lost three lengths.
Race 8	Wanganui Security C4 - C4 - 305	FLYING BLAKE was tightened between TIME'S UP and TAWNY PORT when the start was made and he settled at the rear. Tightening in the leading group of runners going into the bend resulted in severe checks to TIME'S UP, TAWNY PORT, SCOTT NO MONEY and also CRYSTAL WAVE which was the most affected and he fell but regained his feet to finish onto the lure. CRYSTAL WAVE was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have muscle bruising and neck pain.
Race 9	Crombie Lockwood (NZ) Ltd C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	HOT KING COLE and MOULIN BLUE bumped and lost momentum for a couple of strides soon after the start. HOT KING COLE shifted in abruptly going into the bend and checked EVER SO HOPEFUL which lost four lengths and he stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 10	Keenan Concrete C4/5 - C4/5 - 520	CHAINSAW PETE was slow to begin and settled back. RITZA JACK checked over the heels of PINK SOCK going to the first corner and shifted out abruptly forcing BIGTIME JET and CHAINSAW PETE very wide into the bend and RITZA JACK made firm contact with the outside fence and took no further part in the race. CHAINSAW PETE and BIGTIME JET lost several lengths in the incident and finished some distance behind the other runners. Due to RITZA JACK still wandering on the track past the winning post, the lure was slowed approaching the finish line to avoid any contact between RITZA JACK and the other runners but the Stewards were satisfied that this had no affect on the chances of any of the runners and the payment of dividends was authorised. RITZA JACK was referred to the Vet for assessment .
Race 11	Morrie Gibbons Signs C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	COSMIC FURY, NITRO LUIS and ENAZUMA came together and jostled when the start was made and lost a little ground. COSMIC FURY checked over the heels of ENAZUMA going into the first corner and raced wide into the bend.
Race 12	Christmas @ The Races 6th-13th 20th December C4/5 - C4/5 - 305	WATERBUG, SECRET SPRITE and MATILDA'S BABE came together and bumped when the start was made. Further out, SECRET STAR, KINETIC NEO, SHANGHAI SAM and DONKEY DEEP also came together and bumped losing a little momentum. MATILDA'S BABE, KINETIC NEO and SHANGHAI SAM jostled together going into the bend losing two lengths and they stayed back to finish in the last three places.
