Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Stewards spoke with S Barber stable representative for GO PATCH (D Stapleton) in relation to the dog being presented 3.1 kilograms lighter than its last racing weight. Mr Barber explained the dog was having its first start for the kennel and it had been their intention to get some weight off the dog which they had been successful in doing.

Race 1	BRENDON BURKE @ FIRST NATIONAL WELCOME - C3 - 390	BOTANT PETE and THRILLING CLOVER made firm contact just after the start. RINGA DING had to check outwards off heels twice in the run round the bend.
Race 2	Central Water Carriers - C0 - 390	ZOE BRUGGE was hampered by CEE ACH GEE which shifted in racing towards the turn and was then momentarily held up on the home turn.
Race 3	SOUTHLAND & OTAGO PHOTO FINISH - C1 - 390	JOHN DORY became unbalanced on jumping away and shifted in checking HOMEBUSH HAYLEY. In the run down the back straight RUBY'S GIRL and SAM'S FLYIN NORM have made firm contact. Racing towards the bend MERELY A DREAM shifted outwards making firm contact with CHARLES FREDERICK which was unbalanced and forced outwards into the path of JOHN DORY, SAM'S FLYIN NORM and RUBY'S GIRL which were all unbalanced and taken wider on the track.
Race 4	ADDED ENERGY - C1 - 390	HAZZA'S LAD was slow to begin. SARAH'S DOMAIN and BOWMAN made contact racing down the back straight. Racing into the bend BLACK TRIGGER shifted in badly checking AYKROYD with resultant checks to the trailing SARAH'S DOMAIN, MAGGIE DEE and BOWMAN.
Race 5	WILLY'S FLOORING LTD - C2/3 - 390	NOISY LEO and HOMEBUSH BRITNEY made firm contact shortly after the start. DYNA FRIER and LACHIE'S LAD jostled in the run the back straight.
Race 6	100% SELECTRIX - C4 - 390	Shortly after the start as the field shifted in towards the rail PRIMITIVE was checked losing ground and OPAWA LEGS was crowded for room and lost some ground.
Race 7	SGRC $26 FIVE WIRE MUZZLES - C2 - 390	ISABELLE DOMAIN was slow to begin. HAZZA'S GOT SWAG and MAX'S LAD made contact on two occasions in the run down the back straight.
Race 8	GO THE APPLEBY RAMS - C1 - 457	Racing into the bend WUNZEE had to check outwards off OPAWA HOG and as a result checked and forced CAWBOURNE CLOCK wider on the track. As a result HUSTLER AMBITION , JIBBAJABBA JEWEL and THIRSTY KELVIN were all forced wider on the track losing ground.
Race 9	www.southlandgreyhounds.co.nz - C2 - 457	OPAWA ALBIE was slow to begin. SHIRAZ ROSE and OPAWA BOMB jostled down the back straight. Racing towards the turn OPAWA ALBIE shifted out taking OPAWA BOMB out on to GYPSY HUNTER who was buffeted and unbalanced for a few strides.
Race 10	ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C3 - 457	OPULENT shifted out at the start and squeezed LINCOLN FLYER for room. OPULENT continued to shift out down the back straight and at the start of the turn took LINCOLN FLYER and OPAWA BART wider on the track. On the turn for home LINCOLN FLYER has shifted wider on the track forcing OPAWA BART very wide for the run home.
Race 11	COLORMARK SYSTEMS LTD - C4 - 457	COVER TO COVER checked ground outwards in the run down the back and continued to shift out racing towards the turn and momentarily inconvenienced BANBIT and BONE NERD.
Race 12	JUSTRACING.COM.AU - C4/5 - 390	JENNINGS bounded at the start and began awkwardly losing ground. In the run to the turn BUGSY BANGLES has been tightened and shifted out abruptly checking CHARLIE'S CHOICE and KID KAHN with all three dogs losing ground.
