Health and Safety comment:

Judicial report: Trainers D & J FAHEY were fined $100.00 when they were late to kennel runners for todays meeting .RACE 8 Authorisation of the payment of dividends was with held after it was apparent that there was a delay to the starting boxes opening instantaneously upon the lure reaching the starting point. ( per Rule 74.2). STEWARDS after reviewing all available replays authorised payment as they were satisfied that as a consequence of this delay no greyhound had been inconvenienced as to affect the outcome of the race.( per RULE 75.1) and further more no greyhound which did not finish in the first three placings was prevented from taking an effective part in the race .( per Rule 76.9).The boxes were fully tested prior to the next event and stewards ordered starter P SCOTT to manually activate the remaining 520metre races.

Race 1 Super Pets Sprint - C3 - 295 EMBEE DEE (4) was awkwardly away and slow through the initial stages. Shortly after the start EXCUSE PLEASE (7) and CEC DEVINE (6) made firm contact and jostled for a distance.
Race 2 Flair Sprint - C3 - 295 TRICKY HARRY (5) was inconvenienced when on heels racing into the first bend losing momentum. On entering the home straight CAMRAY (3) which was improving to the inside of BLONDE TORI (2) shifted off the running line and made firm contact with BLONDE TORI which in turn was forced wider making contact with AUSTIN WANA (4) resulting in both these runners being unbalanced momentarily.
Race 3 Thursday Place Pick Dash - C4 - 295 Into the first bend CAWBOURNE BURN (2) was hampered when forced onto the heels of WANDY HALLEE (6) by WANDY GRANT (1) which looked to shift off the running line .CAWBOURNE BURN and WANDY HALLEE were further hampered by TAIERI PLAINS (3) which had run up onto heels resulting in these runners losing all chance.
Race 4 racingdogs.co.nz Dash - C3 - 295 GEORGIE WONG (1) , HOMEBUSH CRUDEN (3) and KNOW FAULT (8) were all slow through the initial stages .Rounding the bend PHIL WART was hampered and lost ground when tightened to the inside of ANOTHER SNAZZA (7). Stewards questioned trainer J Rush in regards to the disappointing performance of GEORGIE WONG. Mr Rush tendered that the greyhound has a poor record from Box 1 and could offer no other tangible excuse. GEORGIE WONG was sent to the vet for assessment where no abnormalities were found.
Race 5 Shirley Vet Clinic Stakes - C3 - 520 PSEUDONYM (4) was slow to begin . CAWBOURNE KEISHA (1) was checked when tightened to the inside OHOKA FRENCHIE (2) in the run to the first bend. CAWBOURNE KEISHA was sent to the veterinarian for assessment.
Race 6 Kolorful Kanvas Sprint - C5 - 295 Rounding the turn CAWBOURNE QUEEN (3) and KNOW ADVANTAGE (6) came together and jostled.
Race 7 Garrard's Horse & Hound Dash - C5 - 295 KNOW LIES (5) and PICK THE TIP (8) were both slow to begin . Shortly after the start ELKI (4) and MORE BETTER (7) made firm contact . Racing into the first bend PICK THE TIP shifted inwards and made firm contact with KNOW LIES resulting in both runners being unbalanced when at the rear of the field.
Race 8 Bill's Bar & Bistro Stakes - C4 - 520 Shortly after the start CRINITI'S (4) and RED TYPHOON (5) were tightened and checked between JINARANGO (6) which shifted inwards and TAKE A TRICK (3) .Rounding the first bend TAKE A TRICK and JINJA POWER (1) jostled for some distance. Stewards delayed correct payment of this race (refer judicial report).
Race 9 Sky High Scaffolding Feature - R/A - 520 IDOL GIRL (2) was slow to begin. Into the first bend BEADMAN (4) shifted out from the running line and made firm contact with MEGA REXY (5) which was hampered and lost momentum . As a result MEGA RAXY was forced onto the heels of OPAWA PAUL (7) resulting in that runner losing ground .
Race 10 C.T.V. Stakes - C5 - 520 BRIGHTON BULLET (8) was slow through the initial stages. OPAWA JED (5) lost position and momentum when tightened shortly after the start. STOLEN MONEY (2) was buffeted between runners when in tight quarters in the run to the first bend.
Race 11 Carol's T.A.B. Sprint - C5 - 295 Into the first bend FOLLOW FAME (2) and MARY MARLOW (4) made firm contact and were unbalanced momentarily. Shortly after ZEBADIAH (6) was hampered and lost ground when tightened between TRANS TASMAN (5) and KNOW JEALOUSY (7) which shifted inwards .
Race 12 Speight's Sprint - C4 - 295 Into the first bend WANDY GAYLENE (5) inconvenienced CALLAHAN (1) when shifting down to the running line .Into the home straight BELLA DIOR (8) shifted inwards and made firm contact with TURBO TUNDRA (6) becoming unbalanced and stumbling outwards into the path of the trailing HOMEBUSH EDITH (3) ,as a result both BELLA DIOR and HOMEBUSH EDITH fell .Post race veterinary inspections revealed no obvious abnormalities.
