Track: Good The track was presented in very good order and the meeting proceeded smoothly and concluded on time.

Health and Safety comment: Nil

Judicial report: Trainer E Duganzich was initially reluctant to comply with the Stewards request that , in line with the majority of other Handlers in race 6, he remove his Club jacket to comply with the N.Z.G.R.A recent directive that all Handlers wear jackets or if a majority do not wish to wear a jacket, then no jackets will be worn. After being advised by the Stewards that he would be subjected to a charge of breaching the Rules, Mr Duganzich complied with the request.

Race 1	Awapuni Dash C0 - C0 - 375	COME ON MICKEY was slow to begin losing three lengths and he stayed well back throughout. PATRICK STAR shifted out going into the first corner and caused checks to UNIQUE TILLY and HO HO HO which were forced wide into the bend and COME ON MICKEY was also hampered in the incident. COME ON MICKEY checked over the heels of UNIQUE TILLY on the bend and shifted out forcing HO HO HO to race wide and they both entered the home straight wide on the track and finished at the rear.
Race 2	Woodville Sprint C0 Final - C0f - 375	BIGTIME DASHER led going to the first corner but shifted out and checked VINNY DOON , MISS JOLT and THRILLING INDY and they lost several lengths with one of the favourites THRILLING INDY the most affected and they went back to the rear and stayed there for the remainder of the race.
Race 3	J P Print, Petone C1 - C1 - 457	All clear.
Race 4	Manawatu Raceway C1 - C1 - 375	CAWBOURNE ANNA shifted in going to the first corner and tightened MADAM NORRIS onto MISS SARA which was checked and went back onto TEN ELEVEN and they both lost three lengths. STIFF DRINK shifted in going to the first corner and crowded ACTUAL LILY for several strides and ACTUAL LILY eventually checked losing two lengths.
Race 5	Peter Sinclair Photo Finish C2 - C2 - 375	INDIVIDUAL LILY shifted in when going to the lead inthe run to the first corner and caused checks to SARAH'S COOL, BOTANY JESSIE and GENIA HAKA and they all lost ground and stayed back to finish in the last three places.
Race 6	Marton Stakes C2 - C2 - 457	ADDICTED and BELLDEEN bumped together when the start was made and ADDICTED lost ground and settled at the rear. UPAHUT CINDY and LOCKETT IN EDDIE jostled together for some distance going to the first corner and both lost ground and were back at the rear going into the bend. UPAHUT CINDY recovered the best of the two and made up ground to finish in 4th place. ADDICTED shifted out going into the bend and forced LOCKETT IN EDDIE to race very wide over extra ground on the bend.
Race 7	Ashhurst Dash C3 - C3 - 375	CALM RITA and HOMEBUSH RICK were slow to begin and settled at the rear where they stayed for throughout the race.
Race 8	www.racingdogs.co.nz C4 - C4 - 375	ALL THE RAGE clipped the heels of MOULIN BLUE going into the bend and went back to the rear losing four lengths and she never recovered. As ALL THE RAGE went back, she made contact with CAWBOURNE BULLY which became unbalanced and lost ground. Approaching the home turn, COSMIC FURY clipped the heels of GO FERN GO which lost four lengths and she finished in 5th place.
Race 9	Cloverlea Dash C5 - C5 - 375	Approaching the home turn, DADDY LOWE appeared to be contacted from behind by DARLYNE OTTEY and they both lost momentum. DARLYNE OTTEY then bumped with CALL ME RALPH and they both lost ground and finished in the rear group. DADDY LOWE recovered following the incident and finished on to win the race. RED MOOVA HOOVA led into the straight but turned his head in and then out and eased up, giving away the lead. He then began to race again and held on to 2nd placing. RED MOOVA HOOVA was referred to the Vet for assessment and found to have slight pectoral muscle soreness. After viewing films of the race it was established that there was almost certainly a small animal or bird on the inside of the track which probably distracted RED MOOVA HOOVA and caused the dogs reaction. The Stewards viewed several other races from both before and after the RED MOOVA HOOVA incident and it was clear that whatever was inside the track, was only present during that one race. As a result, there was no penalty imposed on RED MOOVA HOOVA.
Race 10	Shannon Stakes C4/5 - C4/5 - 457	ANOTHER BREEZE began awkwardly losing four lengths and he stayed back throughout the race. JUST MAC shifted in from the start and hampered THRILLING HAVOC which checked over heels and settled back but made up ground to finish in 4th place.
Race 11	Feilding Stakes C3/4 - C3/4 - 457	CAWBOURNE TILLY, LOCHINVAR BRANDO and NONU NONU BOOM were slow to begin and settled back. LOCHINVAR BRANDO shifted out going into the bend making contact with SUMMER TENSION and they both lost several lengths and never recovered.
Race 12	Foxton Stakes C2/3 - C2/3 - 457	HELLO ELLO and TRINITY BOY were both checked soon after the start losing four lengths and all chance. HELLO ELLO was referred to the Vet for assessment at the Trainers request and found to have sustained some bruising and abrasions to the hind legs.
